To be honest, tho I've been several times, every visit leaves me with the realization that my memory of this place is better than the actual experience. Not that this place is bad by any means, no not at all. It is just that is place is okay. Breakfast tacos are amongst my top foods of all times and my go to any chance they are available, which lucky for me, is 24/6 at Fuego. Are the tacos stand out? Eh, no not really. But they are serviceable. I typically will opt for potato, egg, and cheese tacos. Now what I will say is they are usually pretty sizable, which is great if you're eating on a budget (or picking up food after a night out drinking). I prefer their tacos to go rather than dining in as it gives the cheese time to melt and get all gooey. Their chips and queso are pretty dang good, I must admit. But a heads-up for their guacamole: it is loaded with cilantro. For some of you, you're stoked! For those out there like me who dislike cilantro, be forewarned as it was not a win.Service has always been fine-never anything that just blows me away but never any issues or problems to report and that includes ordering via the drive thru or dining in. Overall Fuego delivers big, fresh, hot tacos but the flavors seem to be lacking. In a town full of legit and incredible breakfast tacos this is unacceptable, but given they're open 24hrs a day 6 days a week, Fuego knows what it has and who it caters to and if that is you, enjoy! As for me, I'll most likely look elsewhere to fulfill my taco needs.

Extremely pleasantly surprised at FTG-SA! It's a little hard to spot but it's across UTSA boulevard from the Costco. Prices seem a bit high but the tacos are on the larger side, so it balances out. The service is friendly, and apparently this place runs 24x7 so you're sure to run into hungry college students at the odd hour. Their 'Rock Star' and 'Good Golly Miss Molly' are superb steak-based entrees, and their toppings like Roasted Poblano cheese are both delish and have some heat. Some of the offerings go a little overboard on the sauce and end up drippy, so order accordingly.Definite recommend if you're in the area. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below.5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here.4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary.3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad.2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here.1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Tacos are good. Easy and convenient when you stay at Aloft right behind the restaurant. When going through the drive through be ready to be asked to pull up and wait. It takes some time but tacos are worth it. Salsa is good too.

Don't be put off by the fact that they have a drive-through. This place is clean with a 100% health rating that seems to be their norm as they have their past scores proudly hung in the kitchen. The tacos are on average size tortillas but are jam packed. I could not finish more than one and a half. They are packed with flavor. They have a salsa bar and for drinks they have bottled options, soda fountain, teas, and coffee. Service was great. You walk in and order at the counter then food is brought out to you. High chairs available and bathrooms were clean.

This place was unfortunately some of the worst tacos I've had in this city. It's a chain and I'm not sure how it will survive in a city known for it's tacos! At least the service was good and the ambiance was nice, which was great cause we were there for a bday party.

This place is on our faves list because the food is so consistently good. The menu reflects surprising flavor combos that play well together, like the Dr. Pepper Cowboy taco, which is my husband's fave: smoked brisket, grilled onions, Dr Pepper BBQ sauce, chipotle cream corn topped with jack cheese. Their poblano queso is blanco and always the right consistency. And their poblano mac and cheese has great flavor, although can sometimes be a little soft. People are friendly behind the counter, there is no table service, so that is nice when you are trying to keep to a dining out budget. Thus, it's a bit like a cafeteria in atmosphere; we think it caters to the UTSA student population. And they are doing a great job at it! We visit every time we shop at Costco across the street.

NO SOUP FOR YOU!Made the mistake of ordering the chicken tortilla soup yesterday. Fuego told me they didn't have rotisserie chicken, but could substitute it for 'other' chicken. I made the mistake of agreeing. Chicken was overcooked and soup had zero flavor. This was the only thing I had eaten yesterday. Ended up with diarrhea. What a horrible place!

My husband and I went to fuego last night and got 5 tacos. I got 2 all day longs and he got the magic mushroom, the hippie and the buffalo bill. Our food tasted good and I saved one taco for my lunch this afternoon. I heated up my taco and started eating it when I bit into a really gummy part so I spit it out and upon investigation I saw that my chicken was completely raw in the middle...... how disgusting, luckily I am no longer pregnant because the raw chicken can be super harmful and to immunosuppressant people as well. Hopefully I don't get diarrhea from this. Absolutely disgusting.
