Love this place when we are craving some tajin, chimoy with our fruit or snacks. They also have delicious ice cream shakes and elotes! They have indoor seating which is perfect during the summer. Music is always playing they keep the location super clean. Friendly customer service.

Delicious treats every time. After building up an appetite we stopped for a pre-practice snack for some fruteria. We headed over to Chavez for the goodies. My kids are simple and easily chose character paletas. Noah got a Tweety Bird and 'Em chose a Powder Puff Girl. Both were lemon sherbet based and didn't last very long, but ended up all over their faces - par for the course.I tried something different. I got an agua loka. This was a cup of fully dressed pepinos with chamoy and tajin powder, over a cup of limonada. It was refreshing x2. My kids poached off my treat and enjoyed it more than I had bargained for. The staff were super nice and came out to greet us...we were stuck using the wrong door.We must have gotten there right on time. As soon as we got our order 3pm-ish. The empty parking lot filled for folks ordering a variety of other treats from helotrs to smoothies. Next time I may try the mangonada smoothie. The dining room is roomy, and we'll decorated with papel picada. They even have a picante station in case their version of amole topping ain't enough.I am confident that Fruteria Chavez is capable of taking care of your needs.

Good place, fast service, plenty of selections, they no longer have fried Oreos as their Yelp shows, but not a complete toss out they still offer a lot. I recommend a churro Sunday they're the BEST. The place is nicely decorated, there's music playing, and there's plenty of room to sit and wait or enjoy your treats.

Great frutería! They have just about everything and anything on the planet in terms of Mexican snacks and if they don't, they definitely got the ingredients to make it! Definitely worth a try!

I was craving a mangonada and remembered this place is right down the street from where I live, I stopped in with my boyfriend and right as we came in we were hit with the most delightful smell. This place brings me back to my childhood, my mother used to bring me a fruteria all the time just like this one. My mangonada was so flavorful, and the consistency was amazing! I also tried my first Piccadilly from here! It was delicious, but personally not my thing. The elote from here is pretty basic, but still very delicious. I'm not sure if this is a family owned business but everyone inside seemed to work together very well, and the girl who helped us was very kind! This is a great spot for anyone looking to try out some authentic mexican desserts and sweets.

Lots of great snacks to choose from, fast service, great prices. The elote en vaso is delicious, and the picidilly is extra sour in the best way!

I went here on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I got a small mangonada for $6 and look how big it was!!!! I've had a couple mangonadas around town, but I think this one takes the cake. Cool, refreshing, sweet, sour, and salty. It's a perfect dessert. As you can see, the serving size is huge. It's combined with real mango chunks and has two pieces of mango candy. The building is a little run down and you order from a window to the right of the place. You'll place your order and then they will bring it to the car. The wait time is not long at all. I advice wearing insect repellent before you get out of your car. Anyway, totally worth the price and I will definitely be going here again.

Ambiance was amazing. You walk into a small shop decorated with papel picado- so cute! As we walked in, the employees gave us all the time to be able to look at the menu and decide on what we wanted, granted we were the only people there at the moment. My husband got tostilocos preparados, I got an elote mexicano preparado and we shared an agua de tamarindo. The tostilocos were not as expected. They were full of cheese and had very few chips in the bag. My corn was white corn, which no problem with white corn, but it was not cooked all the way. The corn itself was still hard and didn't have the best flavor. The tamarindo was the only thing that was okay, but it was a bit too sweet.

Everything was amazing and I can't wait to go back to try other things. I had the strawberry raspa with lechera, I hadn't found a raspa that reminded me of my hometown until now, they even add fresh strawberries on top, I loved it. My husband had the Guava raspa which apparently won an award, I understand why, it was also really good and with fresh fruit as well. We both ordered corn on a cup, I asked for nacho cheese on mine as well, so good!! They had yellow or white corn which I loved because I usually just find yellow corn. Can't wait to go back for another raspa and another yummy snack!
