We were greeted right away and the man was very outgoing and friendly. He explained all the flavors and let us try them too! (3 per person). Some of it's vegan, and much of it (if not all) is lactose free. And gluten free except for two flavors. We got texas pecan, eggnog and vanilla. Very refreshing and hit the spot. Highly recommended!!

If you're looking for a healthier, fresher twist on ice cream, this spot is a must-visit! Everything here is vegan and lactose-free, making it a fantastic option for those with dietary restrictions or anyone craving a lighter indulgence. We tried the chocolate and passion fruit flavors, and both were absolutely delicious. The chocolate was rich, while the passion fruit was refreshing with just the right amount of tanginess. The shop itself has a cozy vibe and a ton of Brazilian and Colombian pride shining through. It's clear the owners (a Brazilian husband and Colombian wife team) are passionate about their craft and culture, which adds to the charm of the place.considering the premium pricing for fresh and healthy ingredients, toppings could be included instead of being an extra $1 each.Overall, it's a delightful spot for a guilt-free treat.

I LOVE this place! Especially as a lactose intolerant girly, Freshest has great flavors and excellent fruit based sorbets. Depending on the size you choose, you can get multiple flavors. My favorites are kiwi and coconut chia. They give you one or two free samples and the staff are great about explaining the flavors. The owner is Brazilian, so I think many of the flavors have influences from Brazil (there's a great pineapple and mint flavor). There is limited seating in the store, just a bench and a small circle table. There are sometimes a couple of chairs outside, but it's Texas weather y'all.

Incredibly nice people run this place. The person at the counter explained all the different types of ice cream they serve and we watched someone in the back preparing fresh sorbet.

After scarfing down spicy noodles and dumplings, I needed some sweets to hold me over and ice cream is always in my calling card. YELP brought me here based on the ratings.Walking in, it's a tiny shop with minimal seating but a colorful display of ice cream flavors and styles. I went with a three scoop cup of the oreo, texas pecan, and brazilian flavors with a scoop of reeses pieces at the top. The ice cream flavors are dairy-less so there won't be much of a creaminess texture. For a non-dairy dessert, it's still tasty, especially the oreo and texas pecan; texas pecan has cinnamon and whiskey infused, a unique touch. The brazilian flavor is more tropical, think lemon and pineapple. Probably should've gone with a different flavor since it didn't match with the oreo and texas pecan. But I learned.I prefer more traditional ice cream with dairy but they do their product quite well. Doesn't surprise me as the place started getting a line of customers right after I ordered. San Antonio is lucky to have this spot as a different type of ice cream option.

This is now my favorite spot for ice cream. My only issue with this place is that I wish it was closer to my house. This place is known for serving lactose free ice cream.I have never had an issue with finding parking here. There was no one else in line when my fiance and I went here.I ordered a large cup that was half strawberry and half peanut butter. The ice cream was very tasty. If you want a healthier version of ice cream that still tastes good, then I suggest you give this place a try.

Today I ventured here for a complimentary ice cream from Yelp Elite Squad. The ice cream shop has bright and colorful decor and a simple ice cream bar with a variety of flavors. I got to choose 3 flavors so I chose peanut butter, coconut, and Texas pecan. The employee asked if I wanted to try any samples first but I declined this time! I started with the coconut and I immediately said OMG! Wow, this was bursting with flavor and chunks of coconut shavings. It was so incredibly good! Next, I tried the peanut butter ice cream. This was so good and smooth and had chunks of Reese's cups in it. Last was the Texas pecan which had wonderful notes of cinnamon. It reminded me of those candied sugar/cinnamon pecans. This is hands down the best ice cream I've had. It is like ice milk, very refreshing, has a smooth texture, and all are lactose free. I am definitely going back soon. They have other amazing flavors I want to try.

If you want ice cream that uses all natural ingredients and has no artificial coloring -- this is your spot. Me and my family came in and were immediately greeted and asked if we've been there.... This allowed them to explain what they were all about. Hubby had peanut butter, Oreo and vanilla with marshmallow topping. (All he needed was a graham cracker to make it a s'more) I had vanilla, apple/peach, and Romeo& Juliet (guava and cream cheese) Kiddo had pina colada - all that was missing was the beach lolMy other youngin had peanut butter - if you're a PB fan... this one is for you! We were allotted 3 samples and were told which were dairy and non dairy. Temp was nicer than outside so we decided to stay and enjoyed our dessert. Even got to see Angela work her magic while sitting in the bar area. (Seeing her start the process with making a new batch was enjoyable to me) Now that we are familiar with this spot; we will definitely return next time in the area. #MustCheckOut

Amazing dessert spot! As someone lactose-adverse, this is my kind of place. Fantastic array of flavors including kiwi, passion fruit, coffee, peanut butter and more! Not to mention the toppings, milkshakes, slushies, etc. Only $4.80 for a small cup-- but get the large cup to fit three flavors (definitely worth it)! Friendly staff but minimal seating for large groups; luckily you can get pints to go!
