Such an awesome spot. Definitely a true Irish pub vibe. Very chill. Love that they offer happy hour until 7p. Came in on Tuesday and it was a bit slow. After a while the place livened up w/ Tuesday Trivia Night. Small food menu but they make up for it with quality and price. With it being an Irish pub; had to try the fish & chips. Also opted for the Cajun seasoned wings. Fish & chips were great. Made fresh. Appreciate that the breading didn't break away from the fish like at most other places. The wings were good but kind of missed with the Cajun seasoning. Drinks were made well. Old fashioned on point!!Definitely will be going back

Bears actual semblance to an Irish pub once you walk in. We were able to get high top seating for a group of 7 really easily on a Saturday at 630.They have happy hour Tuesday to Saturday from 4-7 PM which gets you a few dollars off of food and drinks. We got the burger, fried pickles and wings. Their wings were cooked and flavored nicely. You get to pick the sauce. The burger was ok. Thought it was a bit too salty but my wife thought it was ok. Docked stars for service. They forgot my drink order and no one checked in on us for at least 20 min after putting in our drink orders. There was no staff in sight to flag down either during that period of time which I found unusual.

So, we went for food and drinks before a concert. Their food menu is limited. They did have happy hour prices until 7pm on their whole food and drink menu. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were good. They reminded me of hand cut fries. The fish was ok.We shared a pretzel and some fried pickles. Thr pretzel was great. I do wish they had some strong mustard to dip. The cheese it came with was bland. My friends shared the winds and pizza. They thought the pizza was great. I had an old fashioned which I thought was crafted well. Our waiter was new and we could definitely tell, but what he didn't know, he would go ask and return promptly with the answer. I love the whole vibe of the place. Definitely a cute bar/restaurant. We took at Uber there, so not sure what the parking situation is.

Beautiful restaurant with romantic atmosphere. Food menu was relatively small, but the quality was phenomenal! We could definitely tell it was fresh. Our bartender/server also had great service and was very knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back!

If I could give Francis Bogside 10 stars I would! I recently visited Francis Bogside at their new location in St. Paul Square and I am obsessed! They by far have the best happy hour I have ever seen in the downtown area. Their HH goes all day from Sunday - Tuesday, and 4PM-8PM from Wednesday - Saturday. Classic cocktails are $6, well liquor is $5 and $1 off all beer. They also have an amazing happy hour food menu that ranges from $5 - $7 depending on the item.During my visit I decided to go with their Tom Collins (part of the HH menu) and it was absolutely delicious! It was the perfect cocktail to drink after a hot Texas day. For food, I went with the buffalo wings and deviled eggs. Everything came out fresh and it tasted amazing! I thought it was just going to be average bar food, but damn was I wrong. What really completed my experience was the AMAZING staff working there! The manager was so sweet and made sure to connect with us and tell us more about their future plans for Francis Bogside. The guy working the bar was also super nice and told me he only works on Wednesday, so you bet I am coming back just to see him! Both of them really completed our experience and made us feel so welcomed, which I think is priceless.

Finally went to check out the new Francis Bogside location. Decided to go during all day Monday happy hour for a couple of drinks and snacks. The happy hour drinks were great. No complaints there and the prices were excellent considering the location. They have a few drink options available but we tried the mule and the tequila honeysuckle. Both solid and prepared quickly. For the snacks we decided to try their brussel sprouts and the fried pickles. Again, for the price on happy hour the servings were generous and the food arrived timely and hot. The brussels sprouts were not as crispy as I would have liked them and overall were lacking in flavor. Maybe a dip or a lemon to squeeze over the top would be great to serve with these. The fried pickles had a nice savory spice on the breading and were really (temperature) hot. However, the breading on these could not keep up and falls completely apart when picked up, leaving you with just a warm pickle and crumbley breading on the plate. Overall, a decent happy hour I would visit again for drinks, but I'd skip the happy hour snacks and try something from their full menu--they have a lot to offer! Even pho which i am intrigued by.

What an incredible and truly authentic Irish pub, nestled in the heart of St. Paul's Square, offering a wide selection of classic pub dishes and drinks! We were thoroughly delighted by the lively music and the attentive service throughout our visit. The only drawback we encountered was with the portions; for instance, when I ordered the potato skins, it appeared that only half of a small potato was used. Despite this, we still had a wonderful time and would definitely consider returning for another visit.

It's been a few years since I have been to Francis Bogside but I recall finding thier old location charming. When I heard they had moved into the old Smoke BBQ location at St. Paul's square, I was excited to see what they would do in the space. After some solid St. Patrick's day advertising that continued to make its way on my feeds, I figured what a great time to check them out!Oops. We were seriously disappointed. The downstairs was pretty packed so we made our way to the upstairs bar. We asked for a couple of Guinness' and were handed two cans. Okay, no problem, I'll take a glass please. I mean the can literally says best from a glass and let's be honest, it is. The bartender said he may have a couple of glasses and eventually found two. No problem. He wasn't loving us and seemed slightly annoyed we were there but that didn't deter us. We decided to order some fries and hang for a bit. The fries that we ordered arrived and as the runner came up he looked very confused, so we signaled to him that the fries may be ours. That's when the bartender stepped in and insisted they were for a table behind us. Oops! Perhaps we were wrong. We were not. The guy behind us hadn't ordered anything and the runner came back to us for delivery. The bartender makes his way over to say "oh guess those were yours" and walks off to pour a shot of vodka for a worker there. Nice. Then the fries. Somehow both soggy and overcooked. We closed our tab and left and went to our favorite spot where as soon as we walked in, we were treated like customers again. Won't make that mistake twice.

What a great experience! I actually visited Anne's Wine Bar inside Francis Bogside. The charcuterie board was huge, 6 people easily shared the board. The service was phenomenal. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. They have Gappy Hour most days so be sure to ask.
