Four Kings

The four kings of the sandwich industry! This place claims to have one of the best sandwiches in San Antone and let me tell you it's darn close! We had the bahn mi sandwich here and it was delicious! Really enjoyed it and would definitely come here again!

One of my absolute favorite lunch spots. The people are all friendly and willing to give recommendations and tries if the soup before you buy. Head next door to get some bake goods too, but enjoy the art work on the walls before you leave.

We went around 1115 and they were already out of a lot, so go early!We got snickerdoodles, chocolate chunk cookies and pumpkin bread pudding. My husband gave his cookies a 3/5, but my bread pudding (when heated) was an easy 4.5 so we went with a 4 overall. We'll definitely go earlier next time so we have more options. Make sure you follow their FB page because their offerings seem to change daily.

It's nestled in a sketchy, run-down strip mall area, but the inside is nice enough. The people are all very nice and the food comes out quickly. I have a coworker that loves this place so we go probably once a month. The food is fine. It's not great, it's not bad. I have had the Bahn Mi, the Roast Beef, the Italian, and a couple of their random sandwiches. I've never been wowed by any of them. The last time I went, I picked up their Roast Beef and it basically turned into mush as I was eating it. The bun disintegrated. To add to that the grilled onions had zero flavor and the roast beef did not taste seasoned at all. All I tasted was the sauce. Always disappointed eating here.

Delicious Greek Salad, generous portions, and nice ambiance. My wife brought me here for the Banh Mi but, they were out of it so, I got the salad instead. It was a good choice !

If you're looking for a bountiful, yet tasty banh mi sandwich, this is your place.The marinated pork is very flavorful and very tender. The baguette that it's served on is fresh and tasty. The only thing I'd recommend changing about this banh mi is to not include such a heaping mound of the pickled carrots. Pickled carrots are just as crucial to a banh mi sandwich as the sliced pork is and the two make an awesome and tasty combination. However, the sandwich at Four Kings just comes with way too many shredded carrots. I ended up removing about half of them so I could taste the wonderful flavor of the pork. It was an easy fix, so I'd order another one of these in the future.Friendly staff and they keep the place clean. They seem to rotate the menu offerings, so check back with them often.

They have great food and a fun comfy place to enjoy it. I never walk away unhappy. I recommend the special always! The bread is fresh from the bakery next door and you have to try the desserts as well!

Heard many great reviews so thought I'd give this place a try. The banh mi wasn't authentic and didn't taste like anything i've ever had in the past. The bread was soggy as well and was half filled with carrots. I also asked the staff if they could cut it in half and they said "no, we can't do that" which I thought was an odd thing to say, I'm sure they must've had a knife in the kitchen somewhere they could use

Really wish they'd allow 1/2-stars. I was at JBSA Randolph and had multiple errands to run and wasn't going to be able to make it home for lunch. Needed a good place to eat that wasn't fast food. Saw this restaurant on Yelp. Greeted at counter by a hostess, perhaps owner (?), but it wasn't clear what the process was for ordering. Felt you had to be a regular and know the process before they were going to clue me in. Ordered the bahn mi sandwich to go. It was delicious, although I wouldn't recommend trying to eat it while driving. It's messy. But, in a great way!Will definitely be back!

Tasty sandwich! Friendly staff!I live in Converse and was doing my laundry across the street one Sunday. I took a walk while rugs spun in the dryer and found Four Kings. It sounded familiar and I felt like a friend drove me there many years ago when I was newer to San Antonio. Maybe it reminded me of some other place. Either way, I made it back the next week and enjoyed the sandwich special, a pork loin sandwich with raspberry-chipotle jam. It was great! I saw a brand of potato chip I'd never tried and those were a win as well. Overall, an enjoyable experience. It's far from work, and they run short hours, but I'll definitely be back when I can.Their bakery next door had some nice lookin' cookies, but I have to shed about 10 pounds before I can do that.
