Filé's Burgers

Filé's Burgers is small and somber looking on the outside, but looks can be deceiving.Once you enter the establishment, you are immediately greeted with tons of vintage and retro style decor; paying homage to geek culture. They were playing a marvel movie on a tv that they have in the dining area. This place gave a vibe as if you were eating in somebody's home.Their menu is easy to read, and the employees are super friendly and helpful! They talk in a tone that sounds like they absolutely love their job. The cashier was extremely helpful to us in explaining what came on the burgers, as well as the drink selections.I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, as did my girlfriend, however I added grilled jalapeños and onions on my burger. This is where I feel Filé's could improve.Taste wise, the burger was acceptable. The meat had a savory flavor and the buns were good quality. However, my burger had wayyy too many toppings on it. I couldn't hold the burger without everything falling off of it. They added so many onions and stuffed the burger with lettuce. Even with the burger cut in two, it was still falling apart as I was trying to eat it. However, the fries were nice and crispy, as were the onion rings.I would return in the future to give them another chance, I really enjoyed the experience!

This place was so damn good! Their burgers were and the decor was nostalgic and fun! Don't skip on this gem outside of downtown San Antonio! Customer service is outstanding with local owners who truly are passionate about their food and nostalgic ambiance! Their love for our home team Spurs, video games, WWE, nostalgic shows and movies since the 90s is pretty dope too! Keep it local y'all and keep doing bada$$ things Filé's! I came to Filé's on a weekday with my bf interested to see what this place was all about. We ordered our burgers to go and decided to eat them at home since it was the last hour they were open. The man at the window taking our order was polite and patience. We got home and to my surprise the fries were bigger than expected, it was like a basket of fries for both of us. The buns and toppings were pretty good on the burger, the only thing I wish would have been different was having a thicker patty. It was good but I felt like the bread to burger ratio was a little off. Either way it was a cute good burger place, and we'll be back in the future and hopefully eat it there.

If you crossed the rail road tracks, weaved through the neighborhoods, and now found yourself sitting in the parking lot contemplating if you should stay or go... you've come this far! I was in your shoes, not ready to commit, however you won't regret trying them out. The place is put together from a boy's point of view when it comes to decorating, very clean throughout, A+ rating, and most importantly has the best customer service that even the big chain restaurants can't compete with. They have a kids menu that has nuggets or burgers, chicken burgers are an option, nachos, and tacos! Everything we tried was delicious. The food comes out super fast and they have a small claw machine available for the kiddos to test their luck.

This is a great date night place if you wanted to get some good home cooked food without doing it yourself. The burger was amazing and the service was fast and friendly. Try them out and you will not be disappointed.

So let's start with the fact that this was my 2nd time coming to this small place, but you can't miss its color of bright mustard yellow. Hector-MY MAN!! Your customer service is BEYOND AMAZING!!! Super friendly both times I visited, first time was prior to my foot surgery and I ordered a cheeseburger with no bells or whistles OH and a crispy taco to tweak my order. I always find myself wondering and also curious when they combine 2 different yummy foodies. This time I tried the tater tots n a low carb burger. Disappointed, my second time around was not as flavorful or memorable as my first time. Tater tots....oh my tater tots they were crispy just enough salt and just enough of that golden shiny smear on my fingers BUT looked as if someone had helped themselves to my tots b4 they went in my bag, now to b fair I ordered a "small" and as we all know people eat with their eyes first and as you can tell by my picture that's how many I got-FOR $3.79?!! WHAT??! I feel like maybe if that's your "small" maybe a "smaller" container or maybe a bit more for the price? I felt as if someone's had beaten me to those delicious brown cuties!! NOW the burger, patty had great flavor, juicy and good size for a smash style patty, tomatoes one was ripe and the other the "butt" of the tomatoe, the lettuce. I truly believe that the low carb burger would be sensational on iceberg lettuce, green leafy lettuce is visually appealing but tends to fall flat when it comes into contact with heat and juicy patties, which in turn brings the whole eating experience down a couple of notches, just my opinion. Iceberg lettuce has the "crisp" you're looking for in a burger like this and can hold up to the heat and the juice. Overall, great great customer service, patties good flavor, tater tots what I got was good, it's a cute spot with tasty morsels.

Family tried this place out while in town for the weekend. My husband found them and we decided to give them a try. Do not let the red stucco building fool you! This place seems to be a hidden gem that needs to be found by everyone. The burgers and onion rings were delicious! I keep it basic and did the hamburgesa clasica. Mayo, lettuce, pickles and onions. The onions were fresh! Loud and delicious. I looooove onions so I was a happy camper. Bread had a buttery taste too it and the meat was good! Onion rings were the perfect side. Their ranch was also good! Which is rare to find. My husband got a burger w jalapeños and they were hot! Which he loved. The customer service was just so nice. All of the guys working were friendly, had great attitudes and were happy to help when my stepdaughter accidentally spilled her sprite. The place on the inside is decorated like a millennial I'd definitely be friends with. Simpson pictures on the napkin dispensers, wwe champion belts on the wall, all around fun vibes. I'd go back in a heartbeat. If you're reading this and debating whether to try it out or not, go for it!!

The young man working the counter was as friendly and helpful as can be. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger (house favorite). The price was around $15 for the burger, fries, and drink. I opted for the loaded tots, which added a few bucks. I'd give the burger a solid 8.6. The only negative was the temperature in the dining room was similar to the decor on the walls...in the 80's. Luckily, they have a drive-thru window! Give this local business a try. So good!

File's is the best around. Food Is fresh, and hot, as all hamburger joints should have. Lots of cheese...melted..what? You want more? Just ask. Jalapeños..they have those too. Their tots are hot and crunchy . Need some more convincing? Go by there and bring a friend. It's the best!Nice and cozy.
