Family Mexican Restaurant

Good food, good prices! I've always seen this place extremely busy around meal times, when they're open.Chips and salsa aren't bad, but the sauce is definitely gringo level. They do have spicier fare that they brought with our meal. Next time (and there will be one) I'll remember to ask for it first. The green tomatillo has a good kick.I had the Tejas plate, 2 enchiladas, beef tips in flavorful if not too spicy gravy, rice/beans/guac. Really good. Although, I have to say the rice is a bit bland and wierd with the veggies, but that's what the add on salsa was for. Couple folks had chicken quesadillas and one a chalupa meal, and all enjoyed it. And really good lemonade and tea, too.Will have to try for breakfast tacos. :-)

We stopped here on our way back to San Antonio and it was exactly what we were all craving. The restaurant was clean service was very fast and the food was absolutely delicious. It is authentic Tex-Mex. We had the Mexican plate, the Tejas plate, and puffy tacos. Salsa was fresh chips were warm and the tortillas were homemade.

This restaurant is all homemade. Some places use can beans, they dont. Hot and delicious very tasty. I go there all the time.

The food is very delicious and hot as it comes out the caldo is my favorite but it all good and it definitely goes by its name family they treat u like family makes u feel welcome treats u with respect always frindely with a smile on there face love this place

Great family run mexican restaurant! The food is ALWAYS served fresh and fast. Large portions with great prices! If you go enough they even remember your order without a menu.... highly recommend!

I live 7 hours away from this establishment but every time I pass through to Floresville I have to stop. I've yet to be disappointed. Family Mexican Restaurant is very consistent. I usually order carne guisada with cheese, bean and cheese and barbacoa. I always leave very happy! I can't get good Mexican food where I live so this is truly a treat. I can't wait till my next visit.

First and last time here. Ordered three tacos to go (Egg and chorizo, bean and chorizo, and potato and chorizo). Yes I was in the mood for chorizo this am (not that kind LOL)The egg and chorizo was decent. The bean and chorizo taco was plain (emphasis on plain) refried beans with a half teaspoon of chorizo thrown on top. The potato and chorizo flake taco was more disappointing. Literally two tiny pieces of chorizo thrown in with boiled potatoes in a flour tortilla. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I realize there may not be many options on this part of town, but drive a little to have good food. DON'T SETTLE.

It was good until it wasn't.Got introduced to this place by friend that knew a male server at this restaurant and I loved it, service was pleasant and food was good. Returned for a second time by myself and got served spoiled bell peppers and egg shells in my omelette on a slow morning. Extremely disappointing and since then I never came back. I even smiled at the servers, but all I got were blanked faces. Where did the hospitality go?? The female servers were not as welcoming and polite, they even had their children sitting at the tables next to us. Didn't see a sign that it was being kids to work day, I could've came back another day. Overall, I don't appreciate that they pick and choose who they give exceptional service to and the cook needs some improvement. Will not recommend this place to anyone, no bueno!

Cheese Enchiladas were swimming in fat and topping. Could not taste the enchilada part at all. Refried beans were ok. Salsa good.
