I visited Embers and had a solid experience. The burger was good, but it didn't particularly stand out.However, the pizza was a different story - it was phenomenal! I'd definitely return just for another slice (or three).The service was attentive and efficient, which I appreciated as an introvert. However, the server didn't exactly exude warmth or friendliness.If you're looking for a spot with a cozy atmosphere and chatty service, Embers might not be your top choice. But if you're like me and value good food and no-frills service, Embers is worth checking out.

Here from California and staying at a hotel that does not have a restaurant. I ordered the American burger, Jalapeno Mac n cheese, with a side salad and had it delivered to my hotel. The burger was perfect medium, with crispy THICK bacon, mayo and the rest is history. It was a big burger!The Mac and cheese had the perfect amount of heat topped with a side salad, because why not?! I'm satisfied and thankful that my first experience in TX was a great one. Cheers!

We were on a quick weekend trip to SA and this place was rated well on Yelp and was close to the resort we were staying at. Things started out OK. The greeters and servers were great and very accommodating. Unfortunately everything changed once the food came out. Overall the food quality was subpar. No one was impressed with the quality of the food. It was greasy, under cooked, and low grade. Wish that it was better. Won't be coming back.

I first reviewed Embers 7 years ago so I figured I would give an update. Not much has changed. Service is still awesome and the food is GREAT! I moved back to Dallas three years ago and miss this place. Chicken Balsa is my absolute favorite! The lemon wine sauce with the balsamic is a great combo. My sides are broccoli and the jalapeno Mac and cheese ($2 upcharge) and it was a bit spicy but not bad. I'm not a fan of spicy and it was ok for me.Bella chicken is my sisters fav with mashed potatoes (great flavor) and grilled zucchini. The butcher block pizza was a nice size to share. I believe it was 7 slices and lots of flavor.The chocolate lava cake was very moist and very rich!So happy Embers survived the Pandemic and glad the quality of the food is still amazing. They have great drink specials during happy hour too!

Late Post: Dined in for lunch on 12/07/2023I enjoyed my first dining experience at Wood Fire Grill & Bar. CUSTOMER SERVICE is absolutely SUPERB! I hate that I can't remember our server's name. The food was COOKED TO PERFECTION! Although it's a restaurant, it felt more to me like I was at home with my family eating good southern food! The AMBIENCE is the best. The restaurant was so CLEAN which is hard to come by nowadays. We didn't have to wait a long time to receive our food after ordering. MAJOR PLUS! I can't wait to eat here again, and I hope my experience is the same.

Tonight was our first time at an Embers restaurant. We were greeted with a very nice person who turned out to be the manager. Our waiter was very nice also. We really liked the atmosphere here, nice relaxing music but not to loud you so you can carry on a conversation. One of the reasons the atmosphere is so nice is the smell. Beautiful scents of wood fired cooking really gets the appetite going. It's why we wanted to try this restaurant because you can smell the food outside. I had the chicken Bella and my wife had the salmon. Both wood fired at the recommendation of our waiter. The food was excellent. Good portions and fair prices. My meal was so good even the last bite was as good as the first bite. We will definitely be back here again.

Great food and service. It is not overly pricey and I felt like you got what you paid for. Not overly loud either great for a simple night out with friends.

Visiting from Houston and saw this place in the area. We're glad we stopped. All three kids enjoyed the food. Service was great. Husband was satisfied with the tvs everywhere. We ordered the buffalo chicken bites, extreme pepperoni pizza, a kids white pasta, and the brownie sundae. We had no leftovers and didn't complain. Good atmosphere. Will be back.

This spot makes me happy. Never too busy, service always quick, great prices and excellent food. The booths are comfortable, the fire is cozy and they have a few tvs at the bar. They also have a jukebox. The food is classic items executed well. We especially love the baby back ribs but they recently introduced a chicken fried steak and it is absolutely amazing. They have a great lunch menu too. Overall a solid, reliable choice.
