Salvadoran in New Braunfels?! Yes!!! Puppusas here are delicious as well as the enchiladas! Definitely worth the visit!

I came here with friends and ordered the 3 beef chalupas which comes with guacamole, rice, and beans. I also ordered 1 queso papusa because they were out of loroco. This comes with pickled veggies and a red tomato salsa. They also bring out chips and salsa in the beginning for free. The food was okay, it needs more flavor. The papusa was bland but the texture was nice. The beef in the chalupa was good, the rest of it was okay. The salsa that came with chips and salsa was the best thing there. I would however, warn you that they overcharge you and they don't speak English. The papusa is 2.59 and they charged me 2.99. Also they charged me 6.99 for the chalupas when they only gave me two and it should have been 5.29. Very unfortunate that they do this to customers. Cheating is not nice.

The food was good. I was happy to get pupusas in New Braunfels. The horchata was not my favorite but I know horchata can be made differently by many so I don't fault that. However- the service. Dear God. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, because I really do give people the benefit of the doubt, but it took a few tries to get our order down right, and a few reminders for other things. Never got more water so just had to deal with thirst and things, but luckily the food was good enough I'll give it another try. Covid has strained small business and maybe this was not a regular server. Either way the food was good, I'll be back!

El Tamarindo is a cute hidden gem in New Braunfels!I had no clue of it's existence until my uncle told us about it! He goes almost everyday which says a lot because he's a hard man to please. We had such a pleasant experience and understand why it came highly recommended. The breakfast tacos were huge and my coffee cup was never empty. The waitress was incredibly attentive and seemed to know everyone in the restaurant by their names. Ahhh....mid-breakfast my uncle walks in! We got a good laugh at this because he chose not to sit with us but a table away LOL! He sure did go to town on a pancake! Great place if your looking to get away from all the packed breakfast spots in NB and get some good quality food!

Th is is open but in the a new location on Spur street. Excellent hole in the wall Mexican food. Great breakfast tacos. Homemade corn Tortillas.

I came with my dad about two weeks ago on a Wednesday. It was about noon and we only saw one customer in the whole place but never an employee. We sat there for about 10 minutes and never saw a a waitress or anybody who appeared to work there. So we took our money to another Mexican restaurant nearby. No wonder there was nobody in there, with non existent customer service like that.

Horrible service! Horrible food! It took 3 different servers to take our order. ‍ were even fluent in Spanish so there was no language barrier! Taco cabana tastes better and that's horrible fast food! Don't waste your time or money

We drive down from Plano all the time and this is the place to have menudo and the thick corn tortillas. Always great!

Make sure you pay attention to your receipt sad to say they charged me 10.99 for a "custom item" when both items on their menu showed different prices .
