El Taco Grill

I love this spot. Everything on this menu is incredible. I'm grateful for the food that they cook and serve. Carnitas & pastor are perfection. The staff is incredibly friendly.And it's soo clean. What more could you ask for?

Back again! I seriously love this place. Was craving some good meat for dinner & luckily this place stays open late. I got the 5 count mini corn tacos with pastor.Instead of the usual drive-thru we dined inside & they still had the salsa bar out. Tables were clean, chairs were clean. The guy who took our order was friendly & they were quick to give us our food.They have free water but if you want to pay extra for bottled they have that as well.Can't say enough good things about this place, but you must try!

The tortillas are buenas and the salsas are delicious. And let's be honest, any street taco is better than no street taco. The meat, however, was mediocre and the tortilla chips were stale.The staff was very nice. If you're in the area and want a taco it's not a bad choice.

Hands down I don't think I've ever found a better Mexican restaurant. The staff always makes us feel welcome, the food is always fresh and delicious. The ambience in the restaurant is always above par. Will always pick El Taco!!

So happy we made a stop here. Their name says it all, they specialize in tacos! It's a tiny little place with indoor/ outdoor seating and a drive thru as well. We were starving so we went for the 5 mini corn tortilla taco pack each $9.99. A variety of meats to choose from - we ordered the chicken, carnitas, fajitas, al pastor, chicharron. Comes with grilled onions and chilis on the side. FYI the grilled chili is super spicy!They also have a self serve bar of packaged containers of condiments- chopped cilantro, onions, lime wedges, and salsas. We enjoyed the creamy salsa and avocado salsa. I enjoyed my Jamaica fresca, they also serve limonada, horchata, and melon. The melon was a little too sweet for me. We ordered a few more mini tacos in addition because we can, they are tiny snacks but filled with tasty meat : )Great service, good food!

You can't go wrong with this place. The food is awesome and the meat is so delicious. The portions are huge but the quality is even better. We routinely drive across town just for the chicharrón tacos (best in SA) and quesadillas. Friendly attentive service with a great salsa bar make this place worth the drive for us.

Came to this place as I wanted a taco place near my appointment. Looked at their website and it looked good. My son wanted soft tacos so we stopped there. My son ordered 3 flour tacos with beef, cheese, and sour cream only. I ordered a cheese quesadilla. When we got our food, my son got 3 street mini tacos not the normal size flour tacos and the sour cream looked and tasted like skim milk. He took one bite and asked me if I could trade with him since he did not like his tacos. He ate my cheese quesadilla and I only ate the half he took a bite off. I could not eat the rest because the cheese wasn't melted and the their version of sour cream is watery milk, basically. We ate what we could and threw away the rest. Not really impressed with this place and hardly think we'll come back. Clean dine-inOnly one handicap parking by the entrance.

El Taco is in my top 5 places to eat in San Antonio. It's just a little place with big flavor food! Service is always great, it's clean and fast! They are open for many hours so when the urge for tacos hits, they will be open! Everything on the menu is so good!

The tacos are OK..prefer that they not mince the meat.. they loose the carne asada taste you get with street tacos. The beans and plain quesadilla is good and authentic. What will keep us from going back is how dirty the bathroom was. I have read several articles from chefs who say not to eat at a restaurant if the bathrooms are dirty because more than likely they are not maintaining a clean kitchen. Not coming back!

A whole in the wall joint. You don't expect anything and receive everything! I love their quesadillas, double the meat. The hamburguesa is fire, street tacos are A1 and staff are nice and inviting! Love the lil salsa and veggie bar to add to the food
