We are on the search for good birria locations here in San Antonio and we found El Remedio nearby our home. Upon entering you will be amazed to see how well kept the restaurant is and the atmosphere has a relaxing and trendy vibe to it. We ordered the Birria Quesadilla and Birria ramen and in my honest opinion it did not taste how we expected. It did not have that savory taste we knew birria has. However the presentation was very nice and the quantity was satisfactory.

Visited their brick and mortar location a few months ago and it had some hits and misses. Most of the food was spot on. The nachos and sushi rolls were delicious! The empanadas were pretty good too. I got a flight of margaritas and they arrived watered down but still overly sweet. My friend's drink wasn't very good. I tasted no alcohol anywhere in the drinks. There were only 2 other occupied tables in restaurant and our food and drinks took forever! Our server was more occupied with the table of 10 celebrating a birthday and getting drunk, then she was checking on us and providing refills. The overall feel of the restaurant was fun and vibrant and it would probably be fun on the weekend and with better service.

Came here on. Friday early afternoon with family (5 ppl) from out of town, NY. We got seated immediately. Our server, Carlos, immediately approached our table to take our orders. He was AMAZING!! the service from Carlos was top notch the entire time. He was super attentive,, courteous and amiable. Great time overall!Great ambiance, place full of lively colorsFood was good and generous portions. However, everything, i mean everything we try to order for breakfast.... they was out. It was friday and we came specifically for brunch but there was no brunch food. Disappointment.

I was invited to this restaurant by a friend. I had been to their food truck at one point. Of course, as a brick and mortar they have way more options when it comes to food on their menu. They even have sushi. We sat outside in their patio because we each had our dogs. It is dog friendly in the patio. You do have to walk inside the restaurant and let them know that you'll be sitting outside with your dog. The patio has a few tables. They have umbrellas for shade. If it gets hot, they have a big ceiling fan and another fan that I noticed. We started with complimentary chips, salsa and beans. The salsa was too spicy for me. The beans were perfect. I had a ranch water for my drink. They do have plenty of options of drinks to choose from. For my meal I had the Remedio natural roll. I took it to go and it was great a few hours later. My friends had the shrimp empanada and the birria tacos. They both enjoyed their meals as well. I didn't catch the waitress name, but she was very nice. She offered us extra water for our dogs. Inside the restaurant seems very fun. Definitely a good place to have a little get together. I was informed that they do have a room you can reserve for a private party. No charge for that. Parking is available on side, but it is shared with other businesses. I didn't really have a problem finding parking on a Saturday.

I would come here again for their birria tacos. The meat was really tender and I thought the consume was really good! My only complaint was that they came out already a bit soggy but if you eat quick enough (which I couldn't because I'm a slow eater) it's not a problem! The inside was a bit dark and loud but the staff were very friendly and would check on us often.

Staff is super friendly. Never knew about the brand as a food truck, so my experience is just on the restaurant. I can tell they put a good amount of money into the decor and presentation of the facility. Things still feel new, clean and well-maintained. There's this interesting vibe like everywhere you look is intended for a instagram moment. Menu was somewhat extensive, but at least (7) items weren't available to order. Also, the soda is flat and unsweetened tea doesn't exist. Shrimp empanadas were really good and the only dish that was served at the proper temp. Wife got the brunch birria chilaquiles and it was room temp. I got the birria burrito and although it had the grill marks, was warm at best. The broth was super good though and not greasy in anyway. Doubt we'd go back, except for maybe drinks and apps. Can't say I'd crave this spot over other places I've been to.

Heard a lot about this restaurant & bar. Actually the first time we saw this, noticed the line to get in. Early Friday about 630, no line or reservation needed. However if your party size is more than 7, yes reservation suggested. Noted there is a private room available. We started off with drinks. Wanted a tamarind margarita however discovered restaurant ran out of Tamarind margaritas. Ended up with a wannabe Whiskey Sour & Beerita very much a margarita with beer. Noted the whiskey sour did not taste at all like a whiskey sour. Recommend you stick the margaritas. The whiskey sour was on the bill as a soda. Impressive was the bean dip, salsa & chips. The bean dip was amazingly scrumptious. Our original waitress was come and go, seemed that she was also the hostess. We were able to get another waitress to help us. Now on to the food. Wanted the fish taco, however discovered that was tilapia. Not my preference. We did have the shrimp tacos, which were amazingly scrumptious. Especially the sauce drizzled over the tacos. The tacos were on double corn tortillas. 3 nice decent taco size, no sides. Spouse had the Birria tacos, which were very thick & tasty, served with adobo sauce. The tacos were both tasty & more than enough. The crowd here seemed a bit younger, however there were some families as well. Suggest you try this establishment.

Not so family friendly at night. Loud music and everything else was loud... this place has potential for causing hearing loss. Food less than average and the adult beverages were more like kids beverages... they definitely poured light. If was here to attend a party with friends, their company would improve my rating.1 star for my first experience here. I suspect they may have been very good when they first opened. But maybe a change in management might have focused on their bottom line instead of customer retention.Try lowering the volume so I don't have to yell to place my order. Use the correct recipe for decent adult beverages. Simplify the menu and make dining in more family friendly.

Finally had a chance to try this spot and was not disappointed! From the lively atmosphere to the delicious food, this place was a good time. Their Food Truck hit legendary status and now its time for the restaurant to create its own story. The space has plenty of seating, tables and booths, with a small private room, a nice sized patio, and a large bar with seating. The decor is bright, fun and most certainly festive! I went with the Baja Shrimp Tacos and also had a few bites of a Birria Quesadilla, which was enormous. Both were crazy good but I did love my shrimp tacos! Exactly what I was looking for and something I will come back to get again. Bursting flavors with the fresh ingredients did it for me. I'll be back soon for some drinks and more delicious food. They are extending their hours so that will make it easier! Cheers!
