El Paraiso Ice Cream

El Paraiso Ice Cream is the GOAT. I first came here about 10 years ago and recently came again to enjoy their freshly made fruit pops. As I remember, everything is made on-site and sold individually or in bulk. There is no discount for buying multiples, but you can choose which flavors you want. On this last visit, each pop was $0.65, and it was less than $1.50 for two--perfect for a quick snack, dessert, or cheap date.I chose the watermelon pop, and P2 got the pineapple pop. Both were equally delicious as these pops are made from fresh fruit. Unfortunately, there is some added food coloring. I've heard from native San Antonians that they used to sell El Paraiso Ice Cream for school fundraisers. I make El Paraiso a must whenever I visit San Antonio. I'm happy to share my love for this local gem with family and friends.

I love coming here for three reasons 1. delicious almost all the flavors are really really good, my favorites are pina colada, horchata, strawberry and cream, and vanilla raisin personally. 2. It's cheap - i am not gonna tell you how cheap you will have to make the trip but believe me you will be shocked at the affordable prices and the more you buy the better the deal. (Tip: they sell dry ice to keep them icy, so no reason not to stock up.) 3.) Fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients not some weird chemical you never heard of and can't even pronounce, this place has been in business for many years doing what they do best taking fresh ingredients and making delicious paletas and selling them for prices that anyone could indulge now and again. Apparently they are recession proof and inflation proof, thank goodness!! Only downside and really it's not a big deal to me personally but there are no seats to eat your paletas except for outdoor seating a few tables outside in the front, but if your like me that's not even a big enough deal to mention I almost forgot that other ice cream parlors have indoor seating in them!! It's a little bit hard to see when coming down Fredericksburg Rd. It's a little ways down the block after the HEB on the same side of the street.

Paleta palace! Bring your cooler, and they will fix you up. Great prices, lots of choices, and get some dry ice to keep em cold. Rent the cart for parties, but pre-order everything. Easy pick up and drop off. The cookies n cream, the pineapple with chili, the mango, and so many great flavor choices! Watermelon us amongst my favorites. Always a line but moves quickly.

We love this place! Such a huge variety and high quality ice cream. Great place I highly recommend coming here! They have everything from chocolate, vanilla, pickle, pina colada and almost any other flavor you can think of.

Always a local staple. Can't go wrong. Made in house. Great selection like their favorite cookies n cream bar, watermelon, horchata, coffee etc. Can't beat the price.

Pretty good ice cream bars at a very cheap price. 60Cents a bar, can't beat it. Load up a basket and buy for everyone at home or work :-p cappuccino flavor was my favorite.

Very cheap ice cream!! Only 50 cents per popsicle.I got the tamarind flavor and I was kind of disappointed at how watery it was.Tons of other fun flavors to try though.

Simple and delicious. Very inexpensive and they have a flavor for everyone. You can get dry ice here, too. So, if you are traveling, bring your cooler and buy enough to fill it up. They are 60¢ each and we love them all. Our faves are chocolate, cookies and cream, and vanilla with raisins.

Nice & quiet... I will be going back to visit. It is conveniently located in the Art Deco District off of Fredericksburg.
