El Palacio

I always look forward to new dining experiences, especially so called hole in the wall type of restaurants. El Palacio was recommended by a couple of business contacts in the area. Both stated it was the best restaurant in the neighborhood. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, generous portion, and customer service level. The food tasted homemade, fresh, reminded me of the food I had as a child. Not many restaurants, bring back childhood memories. El Palacio Mexican Restaurant isn't a fancy place, but it's a place where you find very good food at a value price, and great customer service. I will definitely to exploring the menu, can't wait to return!

Possibly the best food in San Antonio! Great pastor, enchiladas as good as I've ever had! Can't recommend this restaurant enough!!

My morning go to spot! They have larger portions and a wonderful staff! The owners are sweet and greet you with hugs.. if I have ever had a problem here it is always taken care of promptly. Been going here for five years at least now. Would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a quiet atmosphere.

Jaliscan style deliciousness! This place has some great food! They offer a rather extensive menu, with hundreds of selections, including a full seafood menu, and such specialties as lengua. I opted for the al pastor plate. It was quite a generous portion of carne, with fresh cut onions and cilantro. The tortillas were certainly homemade, and piping hot. The beans tasted like they had about 1/2 lard in there, so they were fantastic. They offered a generous portion of chips, and THREE salsas! There was the best, which was a red sauce that was rather mild and flavorful, heavy on the tomato. It was served cold at the table in a metal creamer container. The green sauce was rather hot, with tomatillos but lacking in flavor. There was also a dark green sauce that was nothing much notable. It was on the hot side, but again, lacked a decent flavor. I did enjoy the fact that there was such a variety, but the red was the way to go hands down, and we nearly solely ate the red sauce. I enjoyed the decor in the place, which is mainly paintings of stuff around Mexico with a few other random things in there. The place was rather clean, and the service was good! The prices were quite reasonable, and there was plenty of places to sit. Overall, I enjoyed this place, and will be back!

I go there a lot, however twice in the past six months i have found hair in my oatmeal. So dissapointing, and gross!

Me and my bf come here all the time and we love it ! It's always are go to place . Ladies are so so sweet and nice feel so comfortable here all the time (: ! Food is amazing ! Would totally recommend to other people .

Amazing huevos rancheros and potato and egg tacos. Prices are reasonable too. Great service for this small restaurant. Will definitely come back.
