El Novillero Grill & Super Pollos Asados

This place was pretty dang disappointing. The chicken was dry and not even hot. Service was incredibly slow and our waitress never came back to ask if we needed anything or wanted a refill. I was just looking for some juicy pollo asado, but no. I don't think we'll be back. We were better off getting a rotisserie chicken from HEB at this point or maybe even El Pollo Loco would at least have some crispy skinned pollo asado. Lastima margarita! Also a million alarms go off in my head when I ask for limes and I am given lemon. Just no.We ordered the whole chicken combo too and it said it would come with a cebolla asada but we only got half. Honestly, I feel ripped off.

Stopped by the drive-thru last night after craving some tacos. First experience wasn't so great at this place. Lady at drive-thru had some sort of attitude which I usually try to look over, but I couldn't last night. Disappointing service to say the least. In addition, salsa tasted awful, it was the worst salsa I have honestly ever had. Not sure if I would come back which is disappointing since this is one of the closest Jaliscos to my house! :(

The food here is always bomb bay! The people are real nice and the place is always clean. My family and I love coming here!

In a state.... of Tex-mex. nope not it either.In a city... of Tex-mex one Mexican restaurant dares to be not Tex-mex.Okay there are actually a few Mexican restaurants in town that are more Mexico-Mexican food than tex-mex. And this is one of them. Not to say there isn't flour tortillas, probably even some cumin on the spice shelf on site but food seems more in tune with the flavors of Mexico than tex-mex. Frankly my review is a little limited because I always order the same thing. 1 whole bbq chicken, with fideo, rice, corn tortillas, lime, grilled onions. That and tonight the Flautas made with chicken I can assume by the flavor also from the smoked bbq chicken. The spices and sauce they use has a kick, in the right ways. The green jalapeño sauce ready to clear your sinuses instantly. Both sauces has a great deep flavor. The chicken is alway top notch and the price isn't bad considering a whole chicken and all is about 13 and it feeds two large eaters 4 people if your on a diet. Though the sides are a bit small for 4 people. Regardless it's a good value, considering how fast it is served up. They either have some ready or their out. It's smoked ahead of time, so fast food, home made quality. Fair prices.

Stopped by here the other day for lunch and got the medium pollo asado plate which was half a chicken with a side of Fidelo, rice, and tortillas. It was delicious! The plate was so big for only $7.75! You definitely get more than what you pay for in my opinion. I would recommend giving this place a try you won't regret it.

Delicious mini tacos and gorditas. Definitely recommend the food. They also have karaoke after 8 on Fridays!

We went in on a Sunday afternoon after reading a lot of yelp reviews.We ordered the Chicken as it seemed to have such positive reviews. We are fans of the pollo del norteno on Ripley and thought we'd try this spot.The chicken was bland,the guacamole was overly spiced and the service was terrible.

Great food but one of the ladies was rude. Rolling her eyes and giving attitude for no reason. With her purple hair... like no ma'am

I was expecting some nice pollo, I was expecting this to be like the other location I've been too before but no, it was actually disappointing, the chicken was cold, stiff and dry, I didn't like the taste, it was awful, I asked for a refund but they refused in fact they overcharged me for extras on a $8 chicken I ordered alone, they didn't even serve me the sides they charged me for, i was upset because I lost $17, my hardworking money went down the drain for some trashy ass food, the manger didn't care to make me another one or take off the sides they charged me for that I didn't even received :( man I really am sad and lost my appetite for a good minute

Honestly wasn't the best it looked really good but the flavors where just off and the chicken inside the enchiladas had a lot of grease one bite and grease came out like water. I was disappointed eating there , also our waitress was rude from the beginning, and forgot about us for a while, menu is also really dirty
