Nothing has changed from my previous reviews - this is a great breakfast place with great service and will continue to be my favorite.What is new is that the restaurant is now divided into two separate businesses and the new one looks like a paletaria!! I'm so excited and can't wait until they open.

If you want canned refried beans, overpriced food, and store bought tortillas. This place is for you! I ordered two bean and cheese with bacon. Each taco was 2.99 (bean and cheese only) + bacon = $8.32. If you know authentic Mexican food bean and cheese is less than $2. Not good, over priced, and cold.

I lived in SA for 31 years, the last 19 of those years very near this El Jalisco. It was my favorite breakfast place by far and lunch and dinner were good too.I was back in town this week. I stopped for breakfast at El Jalisco this morning. While the food was good, the order was brought out incorrectly and the service was poor, despite being staffed with plenty of servers. Never came by to check. Never came by to refresh coffee, seemed inconvenienced by me walking up front to interrupt their group chats when I needed something.Service matters. They need to improve.

Service is on always on point, however the quality of food has been going down hill. I usually don't eat the rice that comes with the dish so my BF asked if we could substitute for fries! After eating the bland meal and paying I asked the girl to print the receipt, which I noticed hidden charges!They charged me $2.50 for the fries (it's not a big deal however the server should have mentioned that) the server also gave us our drinks in to go cups which we were charged for each .40 cents.I asked for a to go container for the salsa (which is very good) to take home instead of wasting it, got charged ANOTHER .40 centsAgain it's not about the $3.70 I was charged for hidden fees but they should have disclosed this to us. I won't be bamboozled and sad to say we won't be back! ALWAYS HAVE THEM PRONT OUT YOUR RECEIPT (your probably being bamboozled in one way or another as well)

We came during lunch where the food was incredible and came out FAST. The pastor quesadilla was HUGE and very delicious. The shrimp cocktail was very satisfying and super delicious. All of the salsas were very well made and have a good spice level. Will definitely be returning.

I have been coming here for a few years now. This is a Mexican/ Tex-amex restaurant, I personally do not like Tex-amex food, but they have many options on the Mexican side that I enjoy. The staff is very nice every time, unlimited coffee all day. I like to order the machacado taco a la Mexicana, they make it like back home, I also like the nopalitos tacos, very traditional, for breakfast I like to order the Steak and Eggs plate, the meat is so juicy and tender, and I always ask them to cover the eggs with salsa ranchera, so good! They have this green salsa that is my favorite, you have to try it with chips and with food. Last time I went my friend ordered the pancakes, beautifully decorated, soft and fluffy! They were perfect! I have not tried lunch or dinner here, but breakfast is a good place to get good tacos! My only complain is the bathroom, only one for women and one for guys, sometimes needs attention.

Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner they have a huge menu of offerings. Food tastes great and is cooked to perfection. Couldn't ask for better service.Restaurant is hidden in a strip shopping center just south of Blanco and 1604 but is definitely worth a visit.

This place used to be excellent. Now it's over priced substandard food with absolutely the worst service ever. We definitely will not go back. Sadly, we live very close and would love to support a local business but these guys just don't seem to care. Sidenote.. the girl who was assigned to our table, I can't really call her a server because we were lucky to get our food set on the table as she walked away... Decided it would be a great idea to sweep up all of the debris in the restaurant and mop with Fabuloso as we were sitting trying to enjoy our brunch. the rest of the place was empty. Never to return. Even for take out.
