I like this restaurant because they offer vegetarian dishes! I called so many Mexican restaurants in the vicinity and all use lard in their refried beans!! Disgusting! I called this place several times to ask how their beans are prepared each morning and each time I'd get the same answer - just oil!! It's not the healthiest option, however I'll take oil anytime instead of lard. I do have to point out that their customer skills are superb. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I'm greeted with a smile. Love that! I'm giving this place 4-stars because there's a charge for chips! Everywhere else the chips are free! Overall, great food, great service and awesome prices!!

Oh my some of the best enchiladas I have ever had! I have one more Mexican stop before we leave Texas lol but that's 300 miles still. Very good. The carne asada taco wasn't my favorite ( that was extra I had to try it) but the rice and beans and tortillas all homemade. Delicious! Enchilada sauce soooooo good! Only thing that would make it a 5 for me is some good chips and salsa. The chips were well not so good and I think a Mexican joint needs to have very good chips and salsa otherwise this is a good choice vs the Wendy's across the street. I'm pulling a trailer and need easy places to get into, parked at Wendy's and told my guy he can eat a hamburger but I'm running across the road lol! He came with and loved it. I'm gonna turn him into a Mexican like me!

There's no aguas at all! You have to pay for chips or you won't get any all day,I tried ordering 2 cheese enchiladas with rice and they said they were going to charge it like the regular plate with beans and tortillas so I decided to get 2 tacos because I don't want to pay for a whole plate when I'm not going to eat it,both of the tortillas corn and flour are from a packet ugh what kind of Tex-mex or Mexican restaurant is this! I don't recommend it!

Never, EVER again. Period. Waitresses with the attitude of a stepped-on cobra that don't pay attention to gettin' your order right, staff in general that could give a hoot less if you enjoy your visit or not. One of our group was wearing a sleeveless shirt - he was denied entrance....despite the dozen or more females in tank tops/sleeveless tees.My heuvos rancheros were served with obviously microwaved frijoles, the tortillas - I've gotten better out of cheap dives. The wife had an cheese omelet - we're pretty sure that there was some cheese mixed in with the rubbery compound they called eggs.As it happened, a friend was with us - they managed to mess up HIS order, as well. Had to ask for tostadas and salsa - and when we got 'em, they were stale - there is NOTHING worse than stale chips!!I eat in that area on a regular basis - and I can PROMISE you that it'll be a cold day in hades before I EVER darken their doorway again.

My favorite SA hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant. Consistently good with plenty of specials to chose from. The ladies there are more than attentive and the food comes out quick. The cheese enchiladas are some of the best around and Wednesday's Steak al la Mexicana special is terrific. If you're looking for no frills classic San Antonio TexMex with quick service for reasonable prices hit this place up for lunch.
