El Gallito de Jalisco

First of all to find such a great spot like this jalisco in the area is great to have especially if you are visiting and/or staying in the area like I was. I had a limited amount of time, in the morning, to get a breakfast and coffee in before my training just down the street. I came in to this jalisco and although it was not my first time (I had come through years prior when my sister lived in the area) I felt the same service and courtesy from the staff as soon as I walked in.This place is spacious and on the weekends I am sure it gets busy! When I was there on a Tuesday morning there were constant folks coming in to grab their to-go orders or popped in to meet up with other friends or coworkers before their shift. I ordered breakfast tacos as soon as I sat in a booth and was noticed by the waitress. I think from start to finish of my meal I was there less than 30 minutes and had already devoured my three tacos and three cups of coffee. The waitress kept coming back to refill my coffee and before I knew it I was super caffeinated which I appreciated.Parking was easy and I even noticed about 6 spots in the front that have the jalisco only parking painted on the parking lot which tells me they get a ton of folks that come through.

Love the food and prices and thefast and friendly service.Like going there for there Breakfast Tacos

i simply love this style of mexican food , i'm from the valley and we dig the jalisco style!!! My favorite plate is the plato de mexicano ! this place is on wurzbach and is a hidden GEM! the service is amazing, and the food is muy delicioso! my go to place for mexican cuisine!

Broccoli in caldo de pollo and no corn? That was weird to us. We mentioned it to the server as well as advised her the chicken was beyond bland - no apology or sympathy. The chips and salsa we tasty though! My husband ordered carne guisada which was mediocre. The rice was delicious!

I compare Mexican restaurants to Tommy's Mexican restaurant on Wurzbach; (who has consistently good food). 1. Clean, fast service on Sunday morning 11 a.m. restaurant half full. Wide variety of Mexican dishes to choose from. We got large menudo and omelet w/cheese and hame in it, papa's and refried beans w/ side of bacon. Menudo nice ratio meat to liquid, mild seasoning, not too greasy. Give it B+.Omelette papa's plate: large portions, potatoes cubed, not overcooked, beans excellent, cheese in omelette melts nice. Definitely no overseasoning done. Bacon cold and hard but good flavor. Give it B- compared to Tommy's omelette (that is Awesome). Overall pleasant meal, would recommend restaurant. The food is very flavorful and tasty. It's not too salty. You also get a healthy serving that is satisfying and filling. Service is a bit slow. The decor is eclectic but cozy. They have (what I assume) is regional music playing in the background. Affordable price.

This is one great place to go for good mexican food at good prices .. I would definitely go after three when the evening server is there .. she is very present and goes above and beyond .. I learned fast that the morning does NOT work that way .

Very disappointed with my experience today! I went in and order two carne guisada w/ cheese. It was delicious but look at the taco what's missing??? It had two pieces of meat that's it not even enough to fill the tortilla and I paid $8.50 and left a tip for take out. Needless to say I was still hungry afterwards. Never again!!! This place has fallen off I use to wake up early on my way to work I loved this place

The chicken caldo is tasteless and smells. I threw it away. I will never go back. It tasted like garbage water.

The absolute BEST Salsa ever!! Love the breakfast tacos here, great service & waitresses even though my Spanish is not that good
