Eightball Coffee

Eightball Coffee gets a solid 5-star from me because the barista who made my cappuccino today did an uncommonly fine job. It was perfectly finessed with the right soft sweetness in the milk and only a faint hint of the characteristic bitterness of coffee. He has a rare skill for a San Antonio barista - I felt like I was back in Italy where this level of quality is much more common. Here, many places come close making a still-enjoyable cup, but their brew most often needs some sweetener to cover the bitter edge. Also, if you like skater culture you'll like the vibe here as that is clearly what this fun and slightly funky place is into with skater books, magazines and decoration.

From being at the truck to now having a physical location 8 ball always slaps! My go to always is a coco cajeta latte light on the cajeta with oat milk. And mmmm the flavors truly melt in your tongue! Can't go wrong with it! I've tried their matcha it's good too!

However, a suggestion for the lovely folks at Eightball: a bit more signage outside could do wonders. It's a gem that more people need to discover easily.During my visit, I opted for something a bit unconventional - a lavender matcha with oat milk. To my surprise, the concoction didn't just delight; it mystified. There was an unexpected, yet wholly welcome, marshmallow essence to the flavor that made each sip a sweet revelation. It's not just a drink; it's a dessert, a comfort, and a new favorite all rolled into one.Though the menu at Eightball might be described as small, it's evident that each item is curated with precision and a commitment to quality. "Limited" here does not mean lacking; it means perfected. Each drink I've seen served is a testament to their dedication to their craft.The ambiance further elevates the experience. The smooth, cool music enveloping the space creates a relaxed, boyfriend vibes atmosphere that's just as suited for leisurely hangouts as it is for focused work sessions. Eightball Coffee strikes the perfect balance between a chill hangout spot and a productive workspace.In essence, Eightball Coffee is more than just a coffee shop. This coffee spot is where it's at! They started as a coffee truck down the block and they are the friendliest people around. Their coffee is divine and they have signature flavors for lattes: Coco Cajeta and Lavender are my favorites. The Coco Cajeta tastes just like a Samoa Girl's Scout Cookie! They have whole, hemp and oat milk. Matcha is also on the menu. You must check them out. The ambiance is chill. Perfect place to hang out and catch up with a friend or do some work. They have WiFi and a good amount of seating. They also got a bomb playlist playing in the background: think Thee Sacred Souls and Mac DeMarco. Parking: they have a mini parking lot and it's a little tricky because you have to come up Florida street which is a one way. It's also pretty walkable/bike-able if you're in the Southtown neighborhood. Enjoy!!

I have a new puppy who's 5 months old and I've been taking him around to different dog friendly places to socialize. I'll say Eightball is one of the favorite ones we've been to so far. Super simple interior. And the staff was very friendly they gave my pup a treat and even wrote his name on the coffee I love those little thoughts, they mean a lot. Coffee wise, I'm no connoisseur but i enjoyed my matcha very much.

Eightball coffee is located in Southtown and just converted from a coffee truck to a brick and mortar shop. The location is small but they have approximately 10 seats inside and a few benches outside. They have a small menu but it packs a punch. I usually get an iced vanilla latte and it's nothing short of great. The guys that helped me out were nice both times I've been. I'll be back. Peace. Latte with whole milk was $6.28.

Their coffee was great. I was staying at a Airbnb nearby and this was my coffee to go! Friendly staff, locally owned, and cool graphics. The coffee was the best intro to San Antonio.
