Eddie's Hijo-E-Su

It's way out in the middle of the country just a few miles near East Central High School. I read that Eddie's will be closing up shop for good before the end of the month so I drove over here to try a burger. I ordered lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard and jalapeños with half an order of fries and onion rings. The fries were crispy and good. The onion rings were okay. I didn't care for the batter. The burger was good and the buns were toasted. It was a bit smaller than I expected. The service was patient and friendly.

We are burger and fries people. We love their burgers and fries. My son loves the bowls. Which there is several. Hot sauce is pretty good even tho I'm not a hot sauce person. Finally a great place to go to in our area. Thanks to staff for excellent service and Burgers/Fries.

Nice new restaurant to choose from. This location has been several different restaurants and all have been good. This one is also good.My first of many times here I hope.I had the patty melt with fries. The portions were very generous and favored well. I saw several patrons get the enchiladas plate and it looked very good!! They have daily specials along with a regular menu of typical diner types. The service was good for the limited staff that was working, so go with patience and understand they are just starting out.I will definitely be back.

So, I'll start by saying this was their opening day so I know things can go haywire. This place bills itself as a comfort food restaurant which is accurate - they have Mexican comfort foods and American comfort foods.We both ordered the cheese enchilada plate which comes with beans, rice and tortillas. The enchiladas were solid - good flavor and the gravy had a good flavor as well. We would come back for the enchiladas!The tortillas were also solid - good texture and taste! The beans have potential but today there was no flavor at all which was a disappointment - but again, opening day so we'll come back again.The rice also lacked flavor and unfortunately was under cooked. Now, when the beans and rice were mixed together with the enchilada gravy - great flavor.My overall rating would be a 3.5 but since there is no way to give a partial 'star' and given it was opening day, I'm rounding up to a 4.Look forward to coming back in a few weeks and hoping the beans and rice are flavorful - if they are, we'll be regulars because it's close to our house!Wishing the owners success!

The food is amazing and the Lunch specials are fantastic. Best place with good comfort food on the menu with some of the original dishes we all love.

Great food! Try the LaMadre burger. The service is outstanding. Order takeout or eat there. Yum!

I decided to stop here for a jalapeño hamburger to take to my husband. The place was clean and the workers friendly. I found them a bit pricey ($12) but prices are high everywhere. Even though I did not taste it from the speed and enjoyment my husband displayed it must have been excellent.

Cooked to order hamburgers are fresh, juicy, and delicious! Comes with freshly fried fries and all the toppings you'd want. The cheese enchiladas were very good as well. High quality American cheese, homemade gravy, served with beans and rice. Will definitely be back!

We have loved everything we've eaten here - burgers, asada grilled cheese, enchiladas, carne guisada and burritos. Our favorite place to eat in the area!

The staff I spoke to were very pleasant. I've eaten here twice and hoped to have a great place close by to eat. Unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't great.
