I have wanted to try Jason Dady's DUK truck for so long and finally know where to find them on Friday nights. What a wonderful WOW food experience. The DUK tacos are so good with the duck confit and the add the pineapple, crema and a squirt of fresh lime juice. Such a treat. The bahn mi is most excellent!Three cheers for the DUK!

DUK Truck has to be my favorite food truck in SA. It blows the rest of food trucks out of the water. I mean really, it is just on another level! I have tried Chef Jason Dady at a Yelp event before and really enjoyed it. So when I heard he also owns a food truck called DUK Truck that sells Asian steamed buns, I am so there! I went to the restaurant week food truck event in downtown just to try the DUK Truck. I ordered the Asian steamed buns of course. It came with a salad too as a special. I have to tell you these buns are NO JOKE. The buns were super soft, the meat was melt in your mouth tender mixed with unexpected greens and other ingredients. It was heavenly! The salad was not your everyday salad. It was high class, very well made with goat cheese, pear, etc. I can't say enough good things about the DUK Truck. For the Asian steamed buns alone, it is a five star food truck hands down! I might have to start stalking them to satisfy my cravings. As I said, once you go Asian (steamed buns), you never miss an equation!

Banh-Mi, DUK tacos with pineapple, mixed greens that are right in line with Dady restaurants, and thai red curry. Maybe over the summer they will bring back that nutella mousse, gelato, cream concoction? Maybe??

I've been curious about DUK Truck for a while and decided to grab a bite here. For those who frequent Alamo St. Eat Bar and wonder why Jason Dady's truck isn't present I suggest you go the Facebook page and find out where it is.I ordered a bahn mi sandwich, 86 the ginger mayo and got a Sanpellegrino lemonade from another truck. Minutes later the sandwich was ready for pickup. I bit into it and at first was impressed with the pulled pork with the touch of Sriracha along with the shredded carrots, cilantro and jalapenos. I like hot and spicy stuff but I held off on adding anymore hot sauce. The bread was crusty on the outside however wasn't hard and crusty enough to withstand all the grease from the pulled pork and fell apart before I was done with it. By the time I got to the last bite the remainder of the sandwich was soggy. Not really the way a banh mi sandwich was supposed to be according to my expectations. It felt like I was eating a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich. It was still good though. Next time I'll try the Asian steamed buns.

Finally caught up with DUK truck today and it was worth the wait (but I don't wanna have to wait that long ever again.) It was a toss-up between the DUK tacos and their cucumber salad but then I thought, "A salad? What am I, a girl?" It was the right choice because these tacos were loaded with delicious stuff. Everything from the handmade tortillas to the shredded duck to the pineapple topping with crema was spot on! There was a surprise crunch in that first bite and I was delighted to see these tacos also included the most important category in the food pyramid: BACON. For two tacos, it was $8 bucks which I'll gladly pay over and over again!

This truck is putting out some outstanding food! The duck confit tacos are just a little bit of heaven. When I bite into the duck confit tacos, there is a moment of pure splendor as pineapple, crunchy duck, cream and cilantro come together. I don't eat the, as often as I should, it might make my life more complete. All the other food on the truck is good, banh mi sandwiches seem to be everyone's new favorite, but I'm gonna stick with the duck.As always follow them on twitter and Facebook to find out where they're hanging out

How does DUK Truck only have 8 reviews?! C'mon Yelpers, get on board! This is the only restaurant, much less food truck that is doing what they do with food. I'm actually quite sad that I devoured the banh mi as fast as I did, because while it was delicious, I won't be able to give it a worthy description. But with pork belly, and fresh bread involved, I'm sure you can deduce what it was like. What you really should not miss is the duk tacos. A take on al pastor that all us San Antonians are familiar with, the combination of perfectly crisp duck, plus pineapple and cilantro makes DUK truck the ultimate booze-induced street food session. The truck is well equipped with any hot sauced your heart could desire, just beware, the banh mi already has sriracha on it, don't make the same mistake I did in adding more.

You know what I love about food trucks? It gives the little guy a chance to make his mark in the culinary world. Also, it gives an established chef a chance to be creative and try different things. So here's the DUK Truck, another brain-child of Jason Dady, San Antonio's celebrity chef. Once again it was the same Culinaria event, so the options were Banh-Mi or duck tacos. I'm not sure if he has other selections during regular hours, so I assumed it was a limited menu. I chose the duck tacos. You got two tacos and the meat was plentiful. It was completed with pineapple and creme fraiche and cilantro. Freaking awesome! Unfortunately, this had filled me up for the most of the evening so I didn't get a chance to partake in other trucks. All I can say is, I know your busy Mr. Dady but please keep this truck and keep changing it up because it's well worth standing in line for your food.

eventhough we didnt get to have the steamed buns, the experience was no short of amazing! I had the duck tacos which had pineapple, cilantro and a sauce.. i m just truly impressed by this chef's palate; he really knows how to fuse flavors togather. The other taco we tried was a beef one with pickled onion, radish and some other goodnesses that i dont even quite remember... If you enjoy trying new things and fusion food, this is one that you must not miss out on!

Loved it! The Duck tacos were so good! My cousin and I both got an order and boy am I glad we did. We both ate every bit of our tacos! The tacos were the perfect texture combination. The crunch of the fried duck fat, and the creaminess of the cream and jalapeno puree went amazingly well together. I want to eat these tacos EVERY DAY! The best part was is that as good as the duck tacos were, the mixed green salad was even better. I'm all about the texture of my food and this salad had it going perfectly. The crunch of the mixed greens, green apples and candied pecans went so well with the champagne vinaigrette and goat cheese. There are not enough adjectives in the world to describe the deliciousness of this salad. Amazing and a must try are two good ones to start with I guess. To try this food truck food is to love this food truck food. Go! Love the food!
