The tamales are so good here, I keep coming back year after year. It is definitely worth driving a long way! I especially like how the tamales are made with just the right amount of masa.

In my lifetime, I have eaten alot of barbacoa and tamales. I must say, that this is some of the best, if not the best, barbacoa and tamales that I have ever had. Joseph, took care of us; and he gave us excellent service. He was friendly and personable; he made us feel special and quite appreciated. We will definitely be going back.Nehemias

Eating food from Don's felt like I was eating food that my grandma made for me. You can just tell it's handmade and cooked with love. This place has been a staple in the southside of San Antonio for many years, and each bite's flavors tell you exactly why!

This place is so delicious. I absolutely love the tamales from here and the barbacoa is good. I've been coming here with my aunt since I was little. Same owner since I was little. They sell avacados and big red too. But they sometimes run out of the avacados. Still really good!

This was our first time here and horrible tamales they needed more cooking were very raw masa and tortillas were cold and old , chili was missing something...... 30 dollars down the drain never again rather drive a little more further for our regular barbacoa at Olgitas.

These are the tiniest tamales I have ever seen! I feel sad that these little premature babies never got to live to see adulthood. I'm not even sure you could call them tamales, maybe "tamalitos" is a better word. These minuscule bites of food were so shockingly small that when the lady handed me the package, I asked her if she gave me a half dozen by mistake. WIthout shame, she said "no". They probably tasted ok and were fresh, but weren't really big enough to get a real taste. Did I mention that these midget tamales were small? I would estimate that they were about a third of the size of a real tamale. I can't really recommend because they were too small to taste. I ate them all quickly because I was starving and thenwent to Delicious tamales down the street sinceI was still starving since the Dons Molino tamalitos were so freaking tiny. Delicious tamales were adult sized and tasty. Look at the picture, The Dons Molino tamale is in the right (be sure to look closely, is is so tiny it is hard to see.
