The chorizo & egg taco was yummy, tender & huge! I ordered 2 but took the second one home with me. I discovered they make their own corn tortillas, they are so tender & well made. Service was great & the restaurant was very clean. A great local business.

Great home cooking. Love the corn tortillas and salsa!!Family owned. Do yourself a favor if you come through and stop in here to eat !

Food looked like it was just microwaved in back. Service was ok and the surrounding inside was very plain but yet clean. We were eating breakfast and we're not very impressed.

I had the Child's pancake breakfast and my husband had the Big Breakfast. Food was good, service was nice, restroom was clean, coffee mug was big and white (the way I like them). Cream for the coffee was offered and the coffee was very hot. The only downside was the syrup was not warmed. Parking was good since we are hauling a trailer.

Went for lunch on a Monday. It is a very tiny space with lots of tables and little room to move about. We were not really greeted when we walked in but they were busy. The server was friendly. Offered suggestions. ### the best chips and salsa I've ever had!! Looked and tasted homemade. (????) I ordered the puffy tacos. They were amazing. They looked a little oily at first but when I took my first bite I knew that I had found taco heaven!! You could only taste the meat and taters inside. Looks can be deceiving, that's for sure. I'm not quite certain what type of oil they cooked those shells on but whatever it was you could not taste it at all. I was quite pleasantly surprised. The rice was flavorful. That's rare that you get a side of rice you can actually taste. It's definitely not really something one might review. But theirs is good. *** buyer beware*** THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE!!!!!!***If you are not a big eater you may want to order one plate and share. If you are not a share bear or a big eater, then you will definitely need a box to take the rest of your food home. The sodas are not free refills as they give you a 20oz bottle. But for me that was plenty.***** Update... went again for breakfast. Got a big surprise. If you are not from here, they will skip over you in checkout line and assist the people they know completely ignoring you. Sad part is they don't have any other way for you to pay than with the unhappy, never smiling, stands in one place all day, cashier. (Noticed her unfriendliness the first time but chose to overlook it) She is by far the most unpleasant person I've encountered in a long time. Definitely does not do this business justice. So sad because I really liked this place, but unfortunately, have to mark it off my "go to" list... one person can make or break a review and a customers perception of the place, especially if they tolerate the bad habits of said employee. But they will survive without my family's business, I'm sure. If you are ever in this town and you value a smile and want to be treated like the other patrons, avoid this place like the plague. It's not that kind of place.

This restaurant makes GREAT breakfast plates! Home made tortillas, hot coffee. Salsa just right amount of spice and flavor. Food comes out muy caliente! Very friendly staff.This is my go to breakfast stop when I'm passing through. This place is worth the drive from S.A. trust me you will be you stopped

Like other places in South Texas, this place is a bit of a diamond in the rough. If you are needing a good breakfast, it's a great option. It is where many locals frequent and has the feel of a midwestern farmers coffee spot, only with Mexican food. They are also very supportive of the community.

Awesome place to eat. Homemade tortillas. Great atmoshere and very friendly staff. Prices are great.

Trusted the YELP reviews and we were not disappointed! Had the puffy taco plate and the Hamburger Deluxe. Come hungry for the puffy taco plate! It's 2 full tacos, rice and beans. Everything was wonderful! The soft, warm flour tortillas were the perfect end to the meal.The Hamburger Deluxe was a winner, too! No pre-made hamburger patty here. Cooked perfect, along with the ham, bacon and avocado. Crispy fries made the plate!Wonderful wait staff made us feel welcome.Don't miss this one!

Absolutely great food. The owner is so nice. I known him for awhile. Top tier food and the only place that I say is great food.
