Deol Bar & Grill

I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at this bar. This is my favorite dive bar, probably only dive bar, in my neighborhood. The drinks are low cost and makes it easy on the wallet to order a double. During the day the vibe is super chill and you can mostly have the whole jukebox to yourself. Day time is for the grown and sexy and night time is for young and messy! Two friends and I stopped in, searching for drinks and an outdoor patio to smoke a Cuban. On 1604 and Horizon Hill, parking is spare and cramped. This is a pretty basic place, no frills, a bit shopworn. VERY friendly bartender, but def not a graduate of mixology school, and her supply of liquors was a bit lacking: She was unable to prepare an Old Fashioned, as they do not stock bourbon/whiskey/bitters...really? I asked for a Beefeater gin and tonic, and it seems she didn't know that gin. I settled for a vodka tonic.But, if one is searching for inexpensive beers, and is indifferent to the physicals of the establishment, then this dive bar is the place for you. I'm pretty sure the local college kids enjoy Deol Bar. In truth, it reminded me of my son's college hangouts at UT Austin. Guess I'm a bit old for the place! LOL!!

I will not lie, I was not enthusiastic about the place, it was reasonable but without a selection of draft beers,two pool tables that are full all the time,yes there were good prices but other than that nothing special,so if you just want a quiet bar in a quiet area this is the place.

Cute bar, great drink prices -$2.00 happy hour drink specials, good service. I highly recommend.

The staff is amazing! The vibe is even better. Dive bar energy with great service. Chelsea was a 10/10. Coming back next week.

Do not come here !!! Got Ready to pop bottles and bought a section and drove 40 mins and brought my cousin (a spurs player ) with me and they didn't recognize him we Got turned around at the door cause a girl that works there that's fucking on the owner lied on me and said I hit her , never did , she text me and said "you not ganna be talking to hoes where I work " we asked to speak to the owner they said he said he doesn't want to talk so now we'll be seeking charges for discrimination, & defamation of character.

What would you do if you found your car towed after parking in front of a sign that says "smoke shop parking only 10 am - 12 am"? The manager of the shop at this particular time came to find me at DEOL bar to tell me that I couldn't park there and he would have me towed. I was confused (as I'm assuming most ppl would be) because according to the sign the towing enforcement was over at midnight. imagine my surprise at this. So I walked out and realized ALL OF THE SIGNS there say the same thing. So I entered the shop to make it clear that if my car was towed that I would be fighting it according what the sign said. I also made it clear that i was not mad at him because he just works there, that I understood he was following ridiculous policies that didn't make sense. He kept saying how the "sign place" was at fault for making the signs wrong and how management wouldn't pay to fix them. I don't understand how that's the fault of people parking there following the rules of the THREE signs!!How does this relate to DEOL you might ask??? Their "door man who has to deal with this shhhhhhh$& nightly " Mr. Aron (or Aaron) cavalierly told me to F off and just go to the bar then to enjoy my 30 minutes. "why don't you just F off and go to the bar!"nicely done.

Cool place, nice clean bar. Stopped by early on a Saturday night to just have a few beers. Prices are good , bartenders were attentive however they had karaoke on a Saturday night. Same people singing over and over got annoying really fast. Would've stayed for awhile had it been for the karaoke on a Saturday. IMO Saturday's aren't good for karaoke unless you're a karaoke bar and if you are advertise it better. Won't ever go back here on a Saturday again.

Wonderful bar and great bartenders! Great energy and attitudes all over. Will definitely be back for a second trip.

I've been coming here for the past 3 weeks and it's been nothing but amazing! Their servers are good at what they do and always get the drinks right! If you're looking for a good time with good hip hop and R&B music this is the place to be! It's clean and worth the time spent!
