Demo's Greek Food

I love Greek food and we had a great visit at Demo's! The restaurant brought back memories of visiting Greece with its decor and paintings. They have lunch specials everyday which we were able to get. The meals have a very generous portion of salad and fries. We went with the beef gyro. The beef had great flavor. The fries were fresh and salad dressing was superb. I ate almost everything. The food was fantastic but the restaurant was also clean. I loved sitting on the second level with the huge Greek island mural. Employees were very attentive and service was quick. We're definitely coming back!

Heavy portions for their gyros that we wanted to try after seeing they had won #1 gyros in San Antonio. They lived up to the hype and there are a few options to choose from. The amount of meat determines if it's a micro, regular, or double. We got regular but a micro is definitely enough of a portion size. It was a lot of food plus fries included. There's also the option of adding cheese, extra veggies, or a spicy option at no extra cost. It's counter service and the food is prepared pretty quickly. There's two stories of seating and it's cute painted with murals of Greek landscapes and decor.

I hadn't been to Demo's in years and I had never been to this location so I jumped at the chance to go when my coworker invited me. I wasn't disappointed. They were very busy since we arrived during lunch. We were able to put in our order quickly and the wait wasn't bad. I order the gyro lunch plate, the food is still as good as I remember and the prices are very fair for what you get. A gyro, salad, fries and a drink for under $15. I will definitely come back when I get the chance.

Visited Demo's Greek food for the first time. They have a big menu, so many options to choose from. I ordered a plate, which was lettuce and a choice of meat. I chose beef because their gyro was still frozen, I could see the ice. I feel like there was a lack of spice, but their fries were good!

This place was amazing. Came after a show at the Josephine street theatre. The misses of course loves Greek, and what better way to end date night. We had falafel, the sampler, and the large Adelphi plate. We had a couple of beers, not rating those, although the mugs are a nice touch. The atmosphere was a 5. The staff was very friendly and walked us through the menu and ordering. Let's get the few negatives out of the way. One the falafel, or what they called falafel, was ok. It was just weird and felt like the uncooked version and served flattened. I was in the mood for the traditional version. All the spicy feta sauce, was not spicy at all, and was actually a little gross. Positives..all the rest was amazing. Even the dolmas which I despise in general weren't so bad here. The bread with the all the sauces, excluding the spicy feta was delicious. We couldn't get enough of the tarama. Man we could've just had that and the bread and been more than satisfied. The meats were flavorful and not too dry. We are definitely coming back and trying more of the menu!

Demo's on North Saint Mary's Street is more accessible now that this phase of road construction is ending. It's a great place for a Mediterranean lunch that balances proteins and vegetables, with lots of flavor. The dieter's plate (yes that's the name) has a protein like chicken skewers, gyro, etc. and Greek salad with crisp romaine, feta cheese, oil and vinegar dressing, sliced tomatoes, olives. Depending on how I feel, I might get a Demo's plate, which has double protein, dolma, tzatziki, and pita,If you're looking for a heartier meal, the beef mozzarella sandwich is a good choice. More recommendations: thich cut fries, sticky sweet baklava, limeade, a side order of dolmas . . . The dining room can get noisy, but there is also a patio with good people watching on the Saint Mary's Strip.

This place has the best hamburgers and fries. I enjoyed the fast service and delicious meal. The appetizers are amazing too!
