I don't even know where to begin but here goes. I remember trying the pork tamales for the 1st time 10yrs ago. They were good.2 weeks ago I bought 11 dozens to take with me to Pennsylvania so share with my GF and her daughters. Dear God was I embarrassed. What has happened to the flavor? The tamales were crumbly, barely any meat and the meat had no FLAVOR.I was trying to bring San Antonio to Pennsylvania instead I brought an embarrassment. If Delia's didn't have the issues they have I would have just bought them there at Delia's

Their bean tamales had my cheeks clenched, never again. Buying from here is like a second down payment on a car, no need to pay for overcharged food just to get sick.

Hate to see low reviews on here! I love this place! Sure the tamales look or are smaller but I love the masa to meat filling ratio. So they are perfect for me! The ladies inside are always friendly. And I love that you can order half a dozen so it allows me to try other flavors! Def my go to place and close by!

Nope, no, and nope... See my picture and tell me if you would eat that... The ladies inside were nice, helpful and they seem to have a good concept with mass production and sales. Since leaving the Chicagoland area I've been on a hunt for tamales as good as those you can find being sold on street corners the southwest side of Chicago. They were large, moist and had a good meat/sauce ratio to cornmeal. I dislike leaving a real negative review, but the tamales are in serious need of overhaul and some TLC. Dry, tiny, and looked like sick defecation. The negativity really came, when I threw up, shortly after consuming 3. The chicken tasted like a mush chicken meal forced down some elote. Worse than baby food!

I've experienced way better honestly! These are if your on the go and looking for a quick tamale run for a work party. They lack in meat and taste just ok. Honestly Tamale Boy is the way to go! It's 100% better and they have tons of options. The customer service here is decent and tamales are ready, no wait. Tamales are somewhat warm. I suggest going somewhere else though if your looking for tasty tamales!

I've seen the reviews of others, and some are not flattering. Being a foodie, I had to find out for myself.I'm a native Texan and BBQ chef, and I know a good tamale.First, I will tell'ya they were a little smaller than expected, but were not filled with a buncha' masa. I ordered the regular pork and the chicken tomatillo. My tamales were warm and buttery on the inside, but a bit soft and clumsy to pick up to dip in the salsa. I enjoyed the red and green salsas, even though green is always my favorite.Service is fast with a simple menu posted.Overall, a good experience, and not a bad value @ $29 for 24 tamales.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE--FOOD POISONING!!!Ordered both pork & bean tamales. They looked old and crusty & tasted as bad as they looked. My family and I ate some and a couple of my family members received severe food poisoning, specifically from the bean tamales. Please take caution when buying from this restaurant - their food quality is extremely questionable.

Ordered the bean tamales and they tasted old and looked like a shriveled up foot. Ended up getting food poisoning from them. Will never get them again.

I have never tasted a masaless tamal. No tenia masa ni carne, tenia mas hoja de tamal. It didn't have enough masa or meat but it did have a huge corn leaf. Tasteless and expensive. I absolutely don't know how this place has been surviving because I would never again buy tamales from there. These people need to start reading our reviews so they can makes some recipe changes to their food. Nobody makes tamales this bad. Terrible and unfortunate that I spent $20 for two dozens. Please take some culinary classes. San Antonio offers plenty. This place needs some serious help. This stingy business needs to add more meat and masa to their tamal to make it worth it.

Tamales had no flavor, masa had a weird texture. Not at all what I expected to be called a tamale. Wish I wouldn't have bought two dozen. There was no meat and weird texture masa was so thick.
