Dripped by to pick up some as I had some Pork Tamales at my friend's Christmas party. What I liked about them were that they weren't heavy on the Masa which I end up not eating. My friend said that's what she liked about them. They were just fine for me and I had just dabbed on some salsa, queso & guac just to try the combination. Her husband prefers a place called Ruben's(?) which is meatier. I stopped by early in the morning and bought 2 dozen: 1 dzn hot chicken & 1 dzn frozen pork. There's a 3% surcharge if you pay with a credit card so I paid cash. There's no where to really sit down & eat as it's just a grab & go. There's a hot vertical warmer that displays what's available. This evening we had the pork which I steamed in a steamer for about 12 minutes. It was nicely warmed & I served it with Red Salsa. It went perfectly & was so flavorful! I think I slammed down 6! Had the chicken tamales last Wed. and it wasn't as flavorful. I had them with green Tomatillo sauce but that didn't elevate it. It was just plain tasting to me. I think the red chile seasoning or spices added to the pork make them much more flavorful. I'm anxious to buy more pork! I may even try their flour tortillas.

sure, Delicious Tamales is a chain. Yes, they're small. But at $10.50 for a dozen, the flavor packs a punch. We bought a few frozen dozen for our friends in Dallas. We bought jalapeño pork, chicken, and atomic (dun dun dun). We were visiting and didn't feel like driving 20 miles out, so this satisfied our tamale craving. No need to call ahead- the hot tamales are in a warmer and frozen are out back in the freezer!

Not sure about the bad reviews? I've had nothing but good from Delicious Tamales! I've had them at work and gotten them myself, never a bad experience. Clean inside and staff was nice/patient with me and all my question. Will definitely be going back and will be shipping some Tamales back home as well. Oh and health department score was on the door it said A/100. I'm assuming that is great!

First time at this location. We tried the ones on Culebra before for the holidays last year but I don't remember them being so salty with only a trace of meat. We bought a doz each of pork and chicken. We paid 9.95 per dozen and in my opinion they are not worth it. We won't be going back soon that's for sure.

Terrible! No idea how they're still in business.I should've read the reviews before buying. For one, the lady was super rude.Second, these are the saddest, nastiest looking Tamales I ever had and expensive too. They don't even offer you salsa to go with them. Avoid this place!

We have gotten tamales here several times. The flavor has always been pretty good, although they are very small, especially considering the price. Today we got 2 dozen of the jalapeno tamales. They were frozen which happens this time of year with the run on tamales. This time the tamales were even smaller than usual, two of these tamales make for one regular size tamale anywhere else. The first bite and I could tell something was off. The seasoning was different, less of whatever they use, just bland. Then the thing that really bothered me was the meat filling. It was some of the worst ever. Grisly and fat, very little lean meat. That along with the bland flavor made them inedible as far as I was concerned. I guess I am glad they weren't bigger anyway, who wants more of a bad tamale. We have an unopened package still in the freezer, I hope these are better and the previous batch was just a fluke.I will update when we open those. I will be very leery of them after this.

Picked up a dozen pork and jalapeños and the meat was chewy and pink and had no taste. My wife says the meat is not cooked. Wasted money on a dozen pitched into the trash. Delia has shredded pork. Not sure what this was.

The tamales taste delicious BUT they are literally bite size! I was truly disappointed with the value because they're about $10/dozen but it would take 2.5 dozen to make a normal 1 dozen. So it's wayyyyy over priced. I typically buy tamales from Costco and they are HUGE and delish too. One of those tamales is about 2.5 times bigger than these.
