Daily Bánh Mi

Enjoyed lunch with family for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered chicken pho and bbq beef banh mi. Let me tell you this was the freshest bread I've tasted in a long time. Fresher than HEB bakery. The banh mi was soft snd full of flavor. Opted for no jalapeño chili peppers. Taro slush was very tasty too. They use whole milk and allow you to change sweetness level of milk teas/teas/slushes. Pho was a hefty portion for $8. Enough to share between 2 people. Will definitely be returning to try other banh mi flavors.

Long awaited.... it is finally open! Well, soft open. The girl at the counter stated they plan to have a grand opening sometime after July 4. Spacious interior with lots of tables. Menu posted on wall above counter consisted of banh mi sandwiches, boba teas, and Asian corn dogs, and mochi donuts. Not all of their menu was available at the time, since it was a soft open. We ordered the #1 banh mi which consisted of 3 kinds of pork and a grilled pork banh mi.Service was a little slow, but no worries. Received our nicely wrapped sandwiches and size wise, they were decent. The bread was absolutely delicious! Soft interior, and the outside had a nice crunch that easily crumbled as well. You'll def have one crumbly mess, but worth it. Loved all the fresh vegetables of pickled shredded carrots, cucumbers, jalapeños, and cilantro. No lack thereof...We were disappointed on the skimp of meat on both of our sandwiches. It lacked flavor. I ordered the 3 pork banh mi... with a large bread roll, it needed to be filled with flavor, a few measly pieces did not cut it. Still being new, hopefully things will get ironed out.....Military discount offered.

I really really had high hopes for this restaurant/bakery. First the fabled donuts were not available since the machine was broken we were told. Ok, perfectly understandable. Against all my convictions concerning gimmick foods, I tried the corn dogs. They were a colossal disappointment. They had a weird texture and had no flavor. The potato one was just ok. The hot Cheetos one tastes zero likeHot Cheetos. Maybe they can add cayenne or another spice to the batter? Trick a chef buddy of mine shared. I should have order pho. The spring rolls and the sauce were freaking delicious. I'm trying to be nice, since it was new and the older couple in the back were very sweet. They may be working some kinks out. We had a bahn mi sandwich as well. Listen, it was ok, but for the price they charged, dr bahn mi down the road tastes better, and cheaper. Another negative was the drinks. I had a vanilla milk tea and the misses had a passion fruit tea. The drinks were actually really good...it's just the price. I ordered a large, and to be honest it felt like a raspa with the amount of ice they put in. I hate feeling ripped off, but I felt ripped off. Also, again working out the kinks, our drinks took entirely way too long, I think they actually forgot to make them and brought them half way through our meal. We probably won't be back again. I really hope they work all the issues out and maybe in the future we will order some of the mochi donut if the machine is working.

Come on guys, please be real. These are just a handful of reviews and not really sure if these reviewers already tried Banh Mi 102.The lone star rating I gave is just for customer service, and I think the manager even served my Aunt's to-go order and warmly talked to us and even apologized for their AC system issues, the place was warm, on a Friday afternoon!(?)We love Banh Mi that we usually make it a point to travel as far as Houston and Austin for the best Banh Mi we could find. But when Banh Mi 102 opened up on Bandera, we don't need to drive far just for Banh Mi. This may be unfair to Daily Banh Mi but just being transparently honest, or maybe brutally honest. If they don't improve on their Banh Mi sandwiches, they can't really be at par with Banh Mi 102.The price is expensive for a single order of a sandwich, the meat filling is not a lot and the flavor is just average. We are excited for the other Vietnamese "street food" they are going to offer soon but I just hope they concentrate more on perfecting their Banh Mi. In all honesty they really need to make an executive decision if they want to be Korean, Japanese or just simply Vietnamese, after all their name says Banh Mi. They should focus first on Banh Mi then progress to other Vietnamese food choices and perhaps add those Japanese (mochi donuts) and Korean (hotdogs).I hope they consider a humble and honest constructive review of a YES member like me. We want to support new businesses like Daily Banh Mi but hey, please do your best Banh Mi and improve on it...price, quality and taste!Customer service is already great and the place since it's fairly new is still well-kept although at around 4:30ish when we visited yesterday afternoon, most of the tables are not bussed at all, lots of crumbs on the table tops and we had to do an eenie meenie miny mo just to get the best table with the least crumb clutter. When we arrived there was just a single family with little toddlers and a baby, and yet the staff have not bussed the table or at least wiped the crumbs. The place still look organized and clean except until you try to find a table to sit on, you'll discover most tables are not clean.Perhaps we would be visiting again in the future, "perhaps", my aunts and uncles maybe visiting back again sooner since it's a short drive for them from their place, Banh Mi 102 is a far drive for them being senior citizens. Again, please improve the pricing, taste and quality of your Banh Mi so you could definitely be serving the best Banh Mi in town that is singularly Daily Banh Mi.I didn't get to take pictures since the AC is not working and we just want to devour our food as fast as we could. I hope the management would take this as a constructive review and help them if they have an identity crisis on what to concentrate on--Korean, Japanese or Vietnamese food.

I'm from Los Angeles, and the quality of food here reminds me so much of the spots back home. Chicken Bahn Mi is so good with lots of flavor. You can tell they make everything with love here. The service is kind and inviting. They sell out of stuff fast and I see why! So good

I visited during lunch. The food was so good and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. I got the #1 to keep it simple since I'm not too sure of the different meats. Glad I did! It was soo good. Bread was soft, veggies had a crunch, and the different meats were good. I also got a sea salt cream coffee. It was sweeter than I like but it was really good and worth the try. Perfect pick me up and had me awake. I put 4 instead of 5 stars because of customer service. The ladies making the food and coffee were sweet but the front counter staff taking the orders didn't greet upon entry, didn't greet when I walked up to the counter to order, or help explain the menu very well. I saw many things on the menu I want to try though so I will definitely be back very soon! :)

We got the special banh mi sandwich, mochi donuts, Korean corn dog, and boba milk teas. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be going back!

Ordered Grilled Pork Bahn Mi and wow the bread and all the fixing were super fresh!! Taste was on point and good size.

A very unfortunate experience! Ordered the combination Pho and was surprised to see that the "brisket" slices had little brisket and loads of fat! I took it back and was SHOCKED to hear the owner tell me that "for me, this is not a lot of fat". He also wanted to explain that the meat depends on what they get from their vendor and didn't understand why I explained that I don't care how much fat is on your meat, cut that crap off and don't serve it to the customer. I had to argue for a refund and he told me they don't refund and will do it just this once...unreal!!Needless to say to say...I will NEVER go back here again.

The food was great. The sandwiches and the corn dogs and the boba! Highly recommend. The owner (I think) was very sweet and accommodating! Oh also 10% military discount !
