Curry Boys BBQ

We came to Curry Boys BBQ for dinner on Friday night. There is very little parking at the actual building, but there's a paid parking lot across the street (~$10). The restaurant is a lovely small space. We ordered at the walk up counter. The menu is not overwhelmingly extensive, which is good! We placed our order and going a place to sit. We ordered the Smoke Show and Good Luck Cluck. Both bowl were full of perfectly cooked rice, curry, and cilantro. The brisket was juicy and flavorful. The smoked chicken was smokey and delicious. The curry was like a nice warm hug. Just a perfect cozy meal. Definitely coming back for more.

I've heard about Curry Boys ever since we started coming to San Antonio, and I'm so glad we got the opportunity to eat there today. We lucked out, because they had a rib special today that I was able to eat amidst my gluten allergy. We also got queso and the Smoke Show Bowl. The Smoke Show green curry is a dish that reminds me why I love green curry. Light, flavorful, not overpowering, and such a nice balance to the hearty brisket. The brisket was fall apart tender and perfectly seasoned. It honestly felt like I was eating a cloud of curry with the brisket. These ribs, y'all. If you ever see their sign and it says they have a rib special, immediately park your car and go inside to get these ribs. Half a rack of ribs that were perfectly seasoned, tender, perfectly cooked, just magical. Yes. Magical is the correct word. It came with a fiery sauce and when you dipped that rib in that sauce, everything came together and make it all even more magical. The sauce cut through the hearty rib, and it was an excellent bite. Service was great, everyone was very friendly, and the restaurant had a relaxed vibe that made me feel like I was eating at home. Love that all the plants have name tags as well...we sat next to Sebastian! The hype is real, and it more than earns all the accolades it receives!

Brisket curry was delicious! Very flavorful and paired well together. Service was great. Interesting building with quirky decoration.I would come here again!

Everything was so good but packed a spice that we weren't prepared for lol. I came in for pick up and the staff were welcoming. We'll definitely be back to try more. Not pictured is the curried corn.

Was craving bbq while in San Antonio and decided to skip Pinkertons and 2M to try this more unique asian fusion style bbq and it did not disappoint!I ordered the smoked brisket/Thai curry bowl and smoked chicken/curry bowl. The bbq meats in both dishes were already super tender and flavorful on their own but mixed in with the Thai curry rice bowl made for a really savory meal that was greater than the sum of their parts.

10/10 every time!!! If you're wanting a warm, hearty meal then this is your spot! Everything is sooo good but my favorite is probably the brisket smokeshow. The brisket was seasoned perfectly and so tender. It's a relaxed environment, just order and the counter and they will deliver to your table. Parking is limited as it is on St. Mary's Strip but you may get lucky with the two spots in front. Otherwise, street parking will be it. Definitely recommend visiting!

Really cool and hip little spot. I got their most popular dish, which was the brisket bowl. To be honest, the brisket was definitely lacking in flavor and substance. The bowl as a whole felt relatively bland, even when I added on the chili flakes and pickles. Had higher hopes coming into this place and I was let down.

Cane to this location back in April and was intrigued because the idea and story of how this restaurant came to be is nice . But personally cuisine wasn't for me . The sauce is more of a curry broth then actual curry sauce. The rice personally looked and tasted a days old and the mountain of chili crips really created a Barrier between the food . The chili noodles in my opinion tasted more soy than chili. Maybe I came on an off day , maybe I picked the wrong dish or again perhaps it's just not for me.Service was great . I travel to this area from time to time for work maybe I'll give it another shot .

If you're a fan of curry and a fan of BBQ, you gotta try this! This small shop is geared towards takeout but had several tables for dining in. I love the idea of combing curry with traditional BBQ. The Chicken in Yellow Curry was smooth and tender. The Pork Sausage in Pennang Curry was also really good. Service was fast and the restaurant was clean. This place should be packed every night!
