Produce was old, store smelled like old food. I had to leave right away. I regret not taking pictures of the oranges and tomatoes. They were black and moldy. Very disappointed. Parking lot was full of people so I assumed it would have good foods.

We are visiting from Houston for the Fourth of July and wanted to have a barbecue. I had heard of Culebra Meat Market so I wanted to give it a try. We bought beef and chicken marinated fajitas. The chicken was good but the beef we were very disappointed. The cuts were all different and it was very very chewy with lots of skin fat plus to salty. We were not able to enjoy it, it was not worth the price. Heb has better beef fajitas or La Michoacana.

I come here about once a month for their barbarcoa meat. It's so tender and juicy it's how barbarcoa meat should taste. It's a fair price and they also have all the sides you need; avocados, tortillas, salsa, and sodas.

The only thing good about this place is the conchas. I love them because they're super soft and fluffy. However, the prices on the avocados are ridiculous! $3.25 for ONE AVOCADO! The cashier keeps them in a basket by the register like she is guarding them from the customers.

Culebra Meat Market in San Antonio has the BEST seasoned taco meat and it's only $2.99 a pound! Have been there several times and not had a problem. Today, I was ignored for over 10 minutes at the meat counter while other customers were greeted with a smile and bought their meat. t was like I was invisible. None of the three guys behind the counter would even acknowledge me. They would not even make eye contact. Perhaps if I spoke Spanish, they would have wanted my business. Walked out almost in tears. But at least I walked out with my money and they didn't get my business....never again.

Their meat is always good and the prices are great! I was hosting a steak cook out, got 10 T-bone steaks for under $70. All my guests loved them, the next week I got a rack of spare ribs, was only $30! Again everyone loved the meat! Going back this week, we will see what I get, I am positive the price will be wonder and the meat delicious!

I bought meat for a BBQ, and the meat carne asada was green and gray, and it had a foul smell. I didn't realize this until all my guest had arrived and we were ready to grill. We tried to rescue parts of the meat and decided to grill some of it, but then we decided it would be safer to not eat any of it at all, and we threw it away. I took the uncooked meat that was bad in and see if they could give us any cooked food instead to save the BBQ. We decided to grab some tamales, we were still charged the difference. I told the cashier that the least they could have done is given me the tamales for free given the circumstances, and that selling bad meat was a health issue. Her response was, well there is a number you can call for that and pointed to the wall. Not to mention, we noticed the lady in front of us had just purchased meat as well and we saw through the bag some green spots. Don't risk your health, don't buy meat from here.

Great deals and prices, but TERRIBLE cashier service. I've been shopping there weekly for the past couple of months because of the savings, but found the lack of customer service very irritating. After my experience this weekend I will never shop there again. The one cashier at the counter couldn't be inconvenienced by the 7 people waiting in line to get off the phone and actually service the customers- she didn't offer an apology or even a hint of courtesy! I'd rather spend my money in a business that values their customers.
