Very simple menu, burgers and fries, which is good for quality and speed. For the area, a made-to-order, burger spot is a great idea but I don't know if the prices match the product. The girl working the register must've been knew, cause she "wasn't sure" or "didn't know" about most the burger varieties. Burgers are well seasoned but hard to keep together with toppings. Fries over seasoned.

I had a hamburger combo. The burger tasted OK, but had pink spots throughout. I like my hamburger meat cooked all the way through and find it unsettling to bite into a burger and see so much pink. The fries were shoestring type. I prefer a wider cut. They tasted OK, but nothing remarkable. The fountain drinks had a good selection. All in all, I thought the food was very overpriced for what I received. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The tables and chairs were the hard and rigid kind, designed so people don't stay too long (eat and leave). I did not feel comfortable. This was not my kind of place, but the staff were pretty exceptional.

I have to speak about the burger as a whole. There's no way this place is "Second Best" in San Antonio. First of all when you serve a meal to be voted on it's eaten as served, their burgers are served dry meaning no sauces, no condiments, and they don't even put pickles on their burgers. So that alone is a major FAIL on a burger. The next MAJOR failure is the meat, they over work their meat so badly that they are literally serving a meatloaf on a bun. If you cut the burger in half and look at the meat you can see there are no air bubbles in the meat and no room for the fat to create pockets of juice. It nearly drys out the meat but worse, it's not palatable. It's quite off putting to be honest, if they called it a meatloaf burger I might have been better prepared but they call this a burger...no where near a burger. The best burgers made are those that are freshly ground, often from 2-3 different cuts of beef then barely handled or manipulated and cooked to perfection at a medium temp. Als The onion rings are frozen and I'm sure the fries aren't cut fresh daily but are seasoned with lemon pepper which does make them different but they are the shoestring fries similar to In & Out. Also I noticed the buns are different depending on the burger you order, my wife just got the cheeseburger and the bun was hard & very dry. They are also cold, who in the hell serves a hot burger in a cold bun???? Why? Why the hell would you offer a cold, dry & hard bun on an already dry burger??? And how was this judged when they received 2nd Best in SA?????? They definitely need better judges. Simple fixes and I see several similar comments/complaints yet no change. These are CRITICAL TALKING POINTS - why haven't you corrected this??? We're the honest Yelp reviewers trying to ensure you succeed. People are often "too nice" to be honest. My wife & I have serious pallets and know food. You could learn a lot from 5 Guys, Mr Juicy and even Jersey Mikes! Hot meat on a hot bun! Sauces & don't cook your meat into a hockey puck, this is America - we like midwell, juicy & flavor. We don't like over cooked dry meat. Especially when it's been over manipulated. In an honest judgment, the Bacon Cheeseburger was a 3/10. I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a friend. Sorry, great concept with the spinning grill over charcoal but, nah. I make a much better burger at home for $17.50 with a side and an iced tea that's juicy, less manipulated & has all the sauces that require a handful of napkins.

Tasty filling burger that never fails to satisfy. The grilling of the burger is what sets it apart from other places!! Highly recommend when in the Helotes area

Revisited, and it was delicious like the first time! A good size burger seasoned perfectly with no skimp amount of guacamole as it should be, all the produce , and a few tortilla chips for added crunch. Piled on quite a few jalapeños from their condiment bar too lol Their burger was grilled on a special rotating grill that added more flavor on top of flavor. The fries had a nice crispy outer texture , but the seasoning was super deelish- I was trying to figure it out- ?lemon, ?cheese, salt ... not sure, I may have to inquire next time.Check out their bestia challenge - 2 full burger meals down in 30 min gets you a t shirt : )

These burgers are no joke. Bring a friend, or two or come hungry cause these burgers are ni only delicious, but pretty enormous. The beef is well seasoned and that sesame seed buns they use are a throwback to great burgers from the past. The toppings are fresh but each burger comes with its own special set . Between the 3 of us, we ordered the different burgers and fries. As we eagerly anticipated our burgers, we tried their sauces which are PHENOMENAL. We got our burgers and dove right into them. It was comical because we couldn't seem to take a bite as they were pretty big. We cut them in half and you could see how juicy they were. Halfway through, we were struggling to finish them. Depending on which one you get, some can be messy, like mine - the guac burger. Toppings just fell out as I bit into it - a good sign that these are loaded. Love a big, juicy, messy burger! Both fries and onion rings were fantastic: hot, crispy and salted just right. But here is where you jist kick them up but dipping them into their sauces. Now, i don't know if these sauces were intended for their burgers but both the fries and onion rings seemed to be destined to be dunk in any of their 3 magnificent sauces. Thank me later! Overall, this joint hits all the marks!

Came here the other day with my fiance to get a couple of burgers to go. I did not have any issues finding a parking spot. When we went inside the place, it was not very busy. We were able to put our order in soon after we got in. I ordered a Bestia Burger without onions or tomatoes. I also ordered a Bestia Size Onion Rings. We sat down and waited for our order. The place has a casual feel and was clean. The food came out quickly. The burger was delicious, but I was disappointed that I had to pick off the onions and tomatoes that I said I did not want on the burger. If you are in the area and want a tasty burger, then I suggest this place

This place won me over at the San Antonio Current Flavor event in early May 2024. I sampled their burger there. It was just as good at the brick and mortar location on Bandera road. The cheeseburger was big and had good flavor. I enjoyed the fries. The three dips for $1.99 were pretty good. It's the jalapeño,chipotle and bestia dips. I liked the bestia dip the most. The Bestia challenge is always available and easy in my opinion. All you have to do is eat two of the same burgers in one sitting and there is no time limit. You will get a free hat and your picture on the wall. It has been done many times already. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. I truly recommend this place if you're in the area and you want a delicious burger.
