Tim was amazing and very hands on with the cooking class. He had recipes printed out so it was easy to follow (plus you get to take the recipes home!!). Tim also showed us various techniques throughout the cooking process such as how to cut and how to whip egg whites so they stay stiff without deflating. Recommendation, don't get lost in the detailed of the ingredients when discussing your menu options. Be open to trying something outside your comfort zone and trust in Tim. Our pork chops came out amazing!! We compared prices with sur la table and definitely felt like we got more bang for our buck here! Great and fun option for couples night out but would definitely come about an hr before meal time...otherwise you'd be wanting to lick every bowl while you're cooking. Would highly recommend for valentines or a special event (he caters too!)

Cooks Gathering is a catering company but also a cooking school. I took a comprehensive cooking class from Chef Tim when he was in California. Let me tell you, Chef Tim is an amazing teacher. You want to learn how to make sauces, how about puff pastry, International cuisine, butcher or cook game the you should know you have a great resource in Chef Tim and Cooks Gathering. He motivates you learn yet helps you find strengths. For me, I have become a really confident home cook and become strong making breads. Don't believe me...ask my wife. For Valentine's Day I made Filet Mignon with a bourdelaise sauce accompanied by pommes Ana and roasted veggies. Dessert well that was an French Apple Tart Brûlée. These were all learned from Chef Tim. If you like to cook then take advantage of Chef Tim's skills. Oh and if your having a special event....well I don't think you can do better.Chef is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has been executive chef in numerous restaurants and has cooked all over the world. He us the real deal.
