It's always fun to try a new coffee spot I haven't been to yet, and I had the pleasure to celebrate my birthday here with my friends! Cute house with lots of outdoor front and back seating, but unfortunately since it was freezing cold, we had to sit inside. Seating was a little limited at that time, but we managed to find a large table for all of us!Super friendly service at the counter. And there was an array of yummy freshly made in house pastries behind the glass counter. I ordered a decaf latte with coconut milk & pump of hazelnut and an almond croissant. The coffee was STRONG, I had to ask for 4 more pumps of hazelnut lol I really enjoyed the toasted almond croissant- I'm a huge lover of almond paste. The rest of my friends ordered some breakfast croissants and they looked super deelish. The brunch menu offered on the weekends looked fabulous too. Afterwards we wandered outside, and in the back they have a chicken pen with the most beautiful rooster and hens. Met an employee who takes care of them and you can tell he enjoys his job and was happy to be there. : )

Came here early to have breakfast with wife food was awesome drinks were cold / piss warm I mentioned something and was told we can wait in line and have drinks remade when I said they were just giving to us and should not be this cold was told oh yah machine acting up! They left it at that no apology no refund no nothing. For a coffee shop to have a machine not working correctly to give the perfect latte or matcha customer should be told ahead of time .Very disappointing! The only reason one star is the fact I was served basically room temp latte and matcha

I was excited to try this place out. When you arrive the restaurant itself looks quaint. You have to park in the back. We looked around for any indoor seating but there was none. There is limited space indoors. It was drizzling but the outdoor umbrellas kept us dry. There is a chicken coup outside and we hung out with a local kitty. I ordered a pastry, the veggie taco, and a cappuccino (this girl can eat). My friend ordered a vanilla mocha latte, three cinnamon mini things, and the veggie taco. I enjoyed my pastry and coffee. My friend enjoyed his pastry and coffee as well. He really wanted a caramel latte but they were out of caramel. The taco itself was a little bland and runny. It was nothing to get excited about. My friend didn't eat his since he didn't know it had egg. We were both expecting just vegetables. The place itself is nice. Nice seating outdoors. The decor is also nice. The person at the register has a nice attitude about her. There was another server who I felt came off as rude and she didn't want to be there. Either way it was a place I would come to for coffee and pastries, maybe. Would suggest to try it for yourself. The reviews seem very misleading since I didn't think this place was above average.

San Antonio is home to many great coffee shops, and this one is yet another fine example! One morning I had a taste for a good flavored latte, so after searching on google, I stumbled across this one and decided to take the dive. There are several locations scattered throughout San Antonio, but this one happened to be the one on Davis Court off of Broadway.Upon walking in it was noticeably busy, but after only a 3-5 minute wait, I was ready to place my order. The staff were super friendly and greeted me with a smile, which is never a given in the service industry. The interior has tables and is bright and inviting! They have a variety of coffee, espresso, and even French press! Feeling hungry? They have breakfast items and pastries as well! I opted for a butter croissant and oat milk latte with chocolate added (mocha). The croissant was hot and delightfully soft, while the mocha had just the right amount of sweetness. The beans are medium/dark roast and the mildness was evident in my drink. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a quality cup of coffee!

This was probably my favorite stop in San Antonio over the summer.French bakery meets craft espresso meets backyard chicken coop-to-table? Unreal. I don't know how they manage that blend so well, but it was fantastic. The space was so refreshing and inviting and the items we tried lived up to our expectation. Would happily return.

I love the River North neighborhood, and Commonwealth is perfect for studying on a moody, rainy day. (Let's be honest, it's great any day, rain or shine!)I really appreciate all the greenery and dark, earthy tones. It's also spacious with an upper-level loft. Sometimes the price feels a little steep ($7 for an iced latte) but the drinks are quality and just a couple dollars more than sbux. The people here are always kind and welcoming as well! There is seating indoors and outdoors. Street parking.

I've come here a few times and every time it sucks. Since the very first time, the girls have no customer service to the same sex. There was one barista who asked every guy who went in if they were a student, but didn't ask any of the girls who came in. Don't buy hot teas here because you'll be paying $5 for a tea bag and hot water. Tables aren't reliable; very wobbly.

It's been a minute since I visited Commonwealth Coffeehouse and I was pleasantly surprised by their new look! If you haven't been to this location in a few yours (like myself) you will be surprised by their amazing patio and renovated indoor. The new look is definitely more inviting and I really appreciate the new check-in area they created. The flow of the space is so much better and it looks similar to their Hemisfair location. But enough about the place, let's talk food! For my first time in some years I decided to go with their avocado toast, and wow! The food was prepared super quickly and the egg was cooked to perfection. It was filling but not overwhelming. I truly enjoyed every bite of it and can't wait to come back for another one! Also, if you are a coffee drinker I would highly recommend their cappuccinos. They are made just right and taste amazing! My only note for the team is to please include a changing table for babies in their bathroom. Their hemisfair location has one, and I just wish they also had it here. I came with a friend and her newborn, and she had to go to the car to change her baby which is obviously not ideal.

Love everything about this place. One of my favorite coffee shops in San Antonio. Always packed so get there early to find a parking spot.
