I will start off by saying I was here for an event so I don't know if all of the food items and drinks that I consumed are on the permanent menu. I did love the atmosphere of this bar/lounge and I appreciate the rooftop lounge. This space is large with different areas to hang out in. The food was good. We had a ribeye topped with edible gold, truffle steak fries and of course drinks. The ladies that were serving were very attentive and even gave me a complimentary glass of wine! This is a good place to go when you want to be downtown but not in the thick of the hustle and bustle of if you have a group of people in town and you want to take them somewhere nice, classy, and chill. I will definitely be back.

Great, fun atmosphere, friendly staff. We sat inside since it was raining outside, but I think it worked out really great for us! Ceviche was definitely the highlight of our dinner and had a fresh flavor. All of the food was very unique

Looking for a great date night spot, Colette at the Phipps is your place. The ambiance was very chill, modern, chic. Loved the vibe in this place. Drinks were on point. I ordered the strawberry ranch water. Who would have thought to put strawberries in a ranch water. That was a game changer. While we waited for our reservation we sat at paramour to have drinks and enjoy some nice photo ops with the sun set. Service was excellent, the wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious. We ordered the lust tacos.... Very tasty and unique. The spicy edamame has just the right amount of spicy. The La Familia (the 14 oz prime ribeye) was cooked to perfection. The truffle fries had just the right amount of truffle. I loved every minute of this restaurant and bar.

So this is my first time dining at Colette and may I say it was delightful. Everything from service to food and ambiance, it had it all. I'll consider it an upscale restaurant so don't be surprised with the prices. I came on a valentines date here with my gf and we shared everything we ordered to try as much as we could. To start we got the Ahi ceviche which was a 9/10 in my books.. just needed salsa Valentina to be perfect. We also ordered the bomb roll which wasn't bad but not my favorite, very much tasted like a ham and cheese sandwich lol. We also got their well known Lust Tacos which met the standards and were very tasty. Their drinks were good as well and in all I would definitely recommend this place.

Colette looked like a neat, swanky downtown rooftop eatery that had an interesting concept of Latin-Asian-French fusion cuisine. It shares its space with Paramour Bar. Lots of potential, but poorly managed and executed. Wait times are ridiculously long! Prices are stupidly insane!! Not ready for prime time; save your money and go elsewhere. No parking, except for a few spots on the street. You have to use weird side entrance to go in. We were 15 minutes early and decided to get one of their overpriced and underwhelming drinks, costing anywhere from $18-$99. Wine is only by the bottle and not by the glass or at least it's not advertised. Plus, even if you find a bottle on their wine list, it's likely that they don't even have it. Begrudgingly, we chose two cocktails at their minimum price of $18 dollars, and though good, they were not worthy of the ridiculous price tag. We paid the bar tab and were ushered by a hostess to what we thought was gonna be our table on the Colette side, but instead we were led to yet another waiting area. After about another 7-10 minutes we were seated, in what was not really a busy restaurant. There are only about 15-20 tables available, which does help to make it seem a little more intimate. By the time we got seated it was 8:35, and sadly, just the beginning of a dismal experience. Our waitress greeted us, saw that we had drinks and offered us water, menus and wine list. We told her we were there for the Culinaria Week, so she had to go back and look for those menus. Seems weird that they wouldn't provide them up front, since they're participating in the program. Our waitress would not take our whole order, instead opting to only take the first course. We chose the Aji Mango Ceviche and Salmon Crudo & Scallion Ginger Sauce. It took quite a while to get these to our table, but when they did arrive, they looked very nice. The Salmon Crudo was pretty good and had a nice acidity and flavor to it, but Ceviche was just...okay. Mostly mango, and light on the seafood. Nothing spectacular, at all. However, if you were to purchase this dish on their normal menu, it would cost you $30 bucks! And, this is basically how the entire dining experience went. I don't know what the hell happened: the kitchen crashed, the bar crashed, the waitresses crashed...??? We would wait, and wait, and wait. Our waitress never comes back, instead is replaced by another. All the guests are looking around at each other like WTH is going on?! Some folks got up and just left, others were visibly frustrated, as it really wasn't that busy. The absolute worst part for us, though, was that the owner/manager did absolutely squat, to help any member of his staff. Not help run food; not help tend bar; not help the wait staff with their tables or check on guests or get customers water or anything!! Instead, this guy just made himself drinks, and watched his entire restaurant crash and burn. Pathetic. We decided we'd be better served ordering a bottle of wine, to go with our main course, instead of the ridiculously overpriced cocktails. Well, they didn't have it. We gave them a second option. They didn't have that. Instead, they basically came back and gave us one option of what they did have. Frustrated we said fine. We finished the bottle before we ever got our main course.By this time it's 10:15pm, no more wine, no water, and we're finally getting our main course, which was the Standing Tuna Sandwich and Tacos Lust. Both, looked rushed, but we were so hungry by this time, we just wanted to get through it. The Tuna had way too much mayo and the wonton shell was just piecemeal together. The Tacos Lust was just ribeye street tacos with a hap-hazard piece of gold leaf thrown on it. Flavors of the food were ok, and there's definitely something there, but execution is missing and holding the food back. Lastly, we were smart enough to tell them our dessert order when they got our main course. We chose the Flambé Burnt Cheesecake and Mango Coconut Crème Brûlée. There was quite the ordeal of trying to light the glass of Liquor 43 to then pour over the cheesecake. I didn't care for it at all. But, it was a million times better than the abomination that was the Crème Brûlée. It looked nice enough, but as soon as you cracked the sugar crust it was a completely inedible soupy mess. Words cannot describe how terrible it was. Gross. We had several disappointing conversations with the wait staff during our visit, mostly because the manager never once came out to talk to his customers, so they comp'd our probably $8 wine. We paid and we did leave a generous cash tip for the one waitress who was really trying.

Our Experience at Colette at the Phipps was just wonderful. The ambiance is second to none. The host and our waiter were so kind and helpful. Our drinks were so delicious and refreshing. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. We started with AJI Mango Ceviche which was fresh and fantastic, we also ordered the carnitas dumplings as part of our appetizers and those were so delicious as well. For our main courses we both had the Tacos Lust which were cooked to perfection! We loved everything from our experience at Colette and absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice rooftop dinner with a palette looking for an explosion of flavors! We can't wait to be back!

I attended this place as an anniversary dinner for my girlfriend and I. I've got to experience the flavors and scenery firsthand. The bartenders (Mauricio)/servers(Julisa) were hilarious and very knowledgeable of the menu. I had an overall 5 course meal. The 1st being shrimp salad, the shrimp was very refreshing and cooked to perfection. The 2nd course which was mango ceviche and it blew me away. It was the first time that I had mango in ceviche and I was not mad at all! The 3rd and one of the main courses was tuna Wong tong tacos. The tacos stood up by themselves and had a Mexican but Asian taste to them. Very unique. The 4th course and the other half to the main course was their beef tacos. This was by far the best dish/course of the night. The tortillas were spot on, the beef was tender and delicious, and the corn/corn paste was savory. The 5th and final course was a key-like pie pudding type dessert . It is very hard to describe but the construction of flavors was great to end the night.Overall had a blast at my time there and after we ate we had a couple of drinks at the neighboring bar paramour.

Awful Service, awful Management Team. I called the bar several times over a month, which included a few different numbers. I planned on requesting to rent the bar out for a large party, the employees picked up the night up to let me know it had already been reserved all day. If I had shown up with my group, we would've been dismissed at the door. No respect, no professional at all. Drinks is overrated and priced significantly high. Three shots was 60 (including normal tip).

Our experience at Colette was disappointing. For the way the restaurant presents itself your expectations are pretty high on quality of the ambiance and food. We loved the style of the restaurant itself, such a great place to look out over the river and have a rooftop drink or meal. However the food and drinks were not worth it. For a restaurant that's brands itself as a Japanese restaurant the two dish dishes we ordered were incredibly disappointing. One was a Salmon crudo and you could tell by the pale pinkness of the raw salmon that it was farmed and confirmed when you actually had ate it. It was bland and fishy and it felt like all the sauce they had on the plate was to make up for it. The sushi role we had was also not great. The yellow fun tuna they added to the top was rubbery and I'm assuming again mixed with the farmed salmon. We had a $75 kobe beef sandwich which was actually quite tasty but for $75 there were only a few pieces of the beef on the sandwich. The last dish we had was the Elote pinwheels, which tasted great but were difficult to cut/eat. Lastly we had two drinks, the prickly pear margarita and the burnt sugar manhattan. The manhattan was definitely better but neither weren't well balanced between flavors. Our waitress was amazing but the only one there to service the whole restaurant and after we told her about how poor the salmon crudo was she didn't even offer to remove it from our bill. Overall for the price of the meal which was $230, it was not worth it. I wish we had gone somewhere different, I know we would have had a better meal/drinks for far less. Not worth it!
