Came to this food truck after strong recommendation from friend. The food truck has outdoor dining with shade with plenty of space. Came here right at opening time and people started coming in over the hours. The ambience was fantastic. The service was great. I tried the roasted pork mofongo plate. The pork was outstanding. The plantain side dish was also quite filling. I'm so lucky I got to try good authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.

The service was excellent, but the food was not up to my standards. The place is too close to Austin Hwy with load cars going back and forth, and they are playing music too loud at their local to mitigate the traffic sounds. The main reason we stopped by was because one of my friends told me this was one of the best food trucks in the area for Puerto Rican food, but the food was not good. The Pinchos (Kebabs) were too salty, and the meat was not fresh. The chicken empanada and relleno de papa were ok. Sadly, I could have done these better at home in my kitchen.

If you are into Caribbean food., You don't want to let this truck roll by.My job is lucky enough to secure food trucks to raise the employee morale, and boy did it :)Aside from just another option, El Jibarazo (on the go) is delicious food with better than average servings.Friendly and quick service. If there's something you like, these guys are flexible. Great rice, not overdone, not too salty. Flavor and consistency was very good...and that's the staple! The rice allows you to enjoy the rest of the food. In my case, it paired well with my torta.Happy to try out their other meals. Looking forward to their tripleta.

Uhmmmmm do you have another choice in between Austin and San Antonio for authentic Puerto Rican food where they barely speak English and the owner doesn't even know what Yelp is lol?! Don't worry I educated him Doesn't get any less American than that! Love it! Location: close to Downtown San Antonio (about 20 mins north of there). Random location! If you go at night drive slow as you approach the location because it's easy to miss. They have several yellow trucks that have their business all over them. It's also an auto shop for tires wheels tiny alarm sound and mechanic lol. And a huge red blow up cylinder balloon sign that says open! Service: typical Caribbean service, so don't expect the American way, pack your patience a f enjoy the authenticity! There's nothing American about this place except that it's located in the middle of Texas lol. The nicest and most authentic Puerto Rican's you'll find. Be prepared to wait to order and for your food! Even if no line. Food: puerco bbq kabobs were not what I thought I ordered lol! I thought I ordered the puerco grits (fried pork chunks) so I can't rate these really as I don't like bbq pork chunks but if that's what you like they have it! The platanos maduros were sweet fried perfect, the arroz con gandules was a little dry, needed more oil and moisture but at least average, empanada de pollo was OUTSTANDING and the best Latino Caribbean empanada I've EVER had. It was moist, flavorful, savory and fried perfectly! I would come here just for these and order 5-10 and prob eat them all. They're that good! Seating: it's a food truck, so you order and wait in your car or in the outdoor seating area. Which is loud between the busy street noise and the Latin music jamming!Parking: it's a small lot but at night on a weekend there was at least one spot. I give them a 5 just for the empanada but the fact that they even exist in mid TX amd are OG Puerto Ricano is another level and reason for a 5!

pernil sandwich was phenomenal! Added extra mayo ketchup it was great.shrimp mofongo: it was a large scoop of mofongo with onion on the side. That was ok, I would have preferred sweet/Vidalia onion, but there was no shrimp inside the mofongo. Worse, there were only about 6 shrimp placed with the mofongo, definitely overpriced. The papa relleno was flavorful but crazy salty. i wanted a different dessert but because only the tres leches was labeled, I had to guess and I guessed wrong. Got cheesecake which was pretty decent. But if the customer has to get their own dessert (no big deal) the least you can do is label every one.Helpful notes: even if you order with yelp, have a Spanish speaker with you because if the kitchen has questions, there's not much English (which is fine.) For the same reason, should make sure a Spanish speaker comes with you for pickup too.also its not clear from the pics but this is a food truck.

Very authentic Puerto Rican Foods. Everything is delicious. It's not that far from San Antonio airport. Easy to get to from San Antonio and Austin. The owner is very friendly. If you crave a piece of flan, call first.
