From Santa Clara been living here for 53 years and I've never had a better experience than this please ignore all those other places I don't know what their problems are they had a bad day or something but this place is great the people are awesome every time I come in here they all are very welcoming this is my place very disappointed that it's closed today I seriously wanted some of their War one time soup anyways this place is 20 stars if I could put 20 I would

Great tasty & flavorful chinese food! Ambiance was quaint & modern. Waiters were nice & attentive

One of my favorite take out restaurants. Being from NY, I do miss the authentic Chinese food (being I am Chinese myself), I come to the fact that take out is the closest thing. So I try all the local take out Chinese places and they are either too salty, or not salty enough. Until I found this place. I mean the lunch specials cannot be beat. The portions are large and the food ALWAYS comes out hot as the sun! The servers have always been great with me and my family when we frequent there. It's sad when I drink so much ice tea there that the refills make the ice fill up the cup.I digress, the restaurant is a great place to head for lunch, you don't need to get all dressed up to eat there. It's a real relaxing place and it is the closest thing to Chinese take out that I have found in Texas thus far.And I have been here since 2009.

Saw 2 flies in my soup!!! See my pics. Scared to eat my main course! I saw the first fly I said, hey, no biggie, it happens. But a SECOND FLY in the SAME soup!??! That means you don't wash your food and your dirty restaurant. Sick! I see you raised your food prices too. Guess we have to pay more for flies. I'm mad because I actually really liked this place a lot until now!! You are going to catch the same bad press as Formosa Garden that was just in the news for being filthy and disgusting!Where can we get clean delicious Chinese food in San Antonio now??

If you absolutely need to have mediocre Chinese food, this is your place. I've actually tried this place a few times already (lunch delivery while at work), so this review isn't just a knee jerk reaction to a bad dish.The Lo Mein noodles were soggy and bland. Not a good deal at 10 bucks an order. The eggrolls were among the worst I've tried. The oil was not hot enough when they fried it so they were soggy and completely saturated with oil. Their Kung Pao chicken was ok, but I'd rather go to Panda Express for Kung PaoThe only thing I tried that was halfway decent was the eggplant with garlic sauce, but even then I had to pour about a half inch of oil off the top before I could eat it.If you want good Chinese food in Stone Oak go to Li's. I would even recommend Taipei over this place.

I'm always getting my order to go because my wife hates asian food... her loss... This China Stix has some GREAT meals and Great Prices... always enough for leftovers too.!!

Pricier than most Chinese restaurants that I've been to in San Antonio, but the quality of the food is so much better than what I've come across in our city. There are some values on the menu. E.g., if you get a large soup ($4.95?), expect enough for multiple people. I usually also buy the Moo-shu pork - which is a dish consisting of chopped pork, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and cabbage if you're not familiar - which comes with 4 shells and sauce. The Orange Beef is fantastic; the only place I've had better Orange Beef is in a Boston Chinatown restaurant.Definitely a great take-out option at Bulverde / Evans (on the Walgreen's side) when you are coming home and are looking for dinner for the family.

My family and I have lived in the area for 7 years and probably only eaten China Stix 5 times and the last time being at least 2 years ago. We decided to give it a go as we were in the mood for Chinese and our regular place is a little farther. We were pleasantly surprised with not just the quality of food but the portions as well. We ordered 2 orders of lemon chicken and my wife and both boys barely made it through one. We put a whole order in the fridge. The chicken was thick and juicy and the lemon sauce was great. I ordered the triple delight and was very happy with the flavor and spiciness. The rice was also good and tasted very fresh. We will definitely not wait this long again to order from China Stix.

Had China Stix delievered last night. It was really great. I highly recommend the Lemon chicken. It was literally three whole chicken breast sliced up, and the dipping sauce that went with it was great. I also had the Chicken Lo Mein, which has some dark meat chicken in it. It was good even though I do prefer white meat. The egg rolls were also really good.Only 4 stars because the delivery did take about an hour and a half, we did order the food at like 8:30p so maybe that had something to do with it.Will eat here again.

We have eaten at China Stix several times, both in restaurant and take out dining. Last evening we had absolutely the worst experience. The quality of the food was terrible. The sweet and sour chicken was dry and lacked anything other than over cooked and dry chicken. Awful! And the teriyaki chicken, a "specialty dish", was chicken with barbeque sauce. Again terrible. The meals were in a bag that was tied when I picked them up. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I sent a message to the restaurant expresssing our displeasure but have not received a response.
