China Rose

Absolutely trash. This place use to be good, not great, but good. Went today for the orange chicken and hot and sour soup. It was all trash. The chicken was super rubbery. The fried rice was old and hard and oily. The soup was just bad. Nope. Last time I go there. The person talking my order was rude. Like she hates her job. Like I was bothering. Waste of my money and my time. My food looked like someone's leftovers. I threw it all away.

One of my guilty pleasures. Food came out hot, and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Dinning room was clean, staff made sure dirty tables got cleaned up and available for guest.

Haven't been in ages, my mom decided to drop by and they did not disappoint! was delicious & love the drive-thru option

China rose is a chinese food staple on the southside of San Antonio that serves up warm tasty food quickly and always the same quality. The tea is outstanding and they are notorious for their iced tea! I like to go with my friends on a nice lunch time to enjoy their options. Try the pepper steak with fried rice.

Chicken is all soggy inside the badder. Very rude drive through. And VERY CHEAP when it comes to sauce packets, napkins, even dipping sauces. They will even tell you no when you ask for more soy sauce lol they said its only 1 packet per plate.

I usually go to the China rose on SW Military bc their food is just on point every time. Well I stopped at this one bc it's closer to my house and I probably will not be returning to this place. They didn't have anything I wanted, No pork, No shrimp! Just close down if you don't have options for the customers to choose from. Outa there

I'm making this comment on the location sitting on military drive and zarzamora. I walked i today and ordered the food has gone from bad to worse it was disgusting not to mention the bad service. I remember maby 8 months ago or even a year ago the food was delicious the fried rice was the best, now it's tasteles, it's pretty much just streamed rice. has anyone else noticed the change??

This place USED to be good , before COVID. Now it's not. Portions are way smaller for high price, and it doesn't even taste good or the same. Everything taste like dirty old oil. Employees are always rude , or eating in the front, never answer the phone although when you walk in they're doing nothing. It's pretty nasty.

I like their food it is always tasty and their prices are reasonable except their customer service has to go. I have purchased and spent money ordering from this restaurant many times. Although for the past 2 times I have had the issue where my order is not complete. I informed them today and was practically told to my face I was a liar and all my food was packed before driving away from the drive thru. I thought that was rude for them to state I was lying about what was packed. Seriously they do not care about their customers and there are plenty of other Chinese restaurants I can do business with.

I love this place! I drive to this location because of the food and the staff!! Definitely going back!
