China Harbor Buffet

The food selection was enough. This is a buffet so there is 4 different stations of food - 1-soup station 1- fried entrees station 1- baked station 1- dessert station. The taste is your average Chinese buffet taste. Couple of the trays were not hot enough so our food was cold. I noticed some trays of food had steam coming out and others didn't. So not all the food is same temperature that should be warmed up. The sushi station or option is very limited selection.

This has been the worst experience I have had at a Chinese buffet. The ice was not only melted but the mix was spoiled. This can get someone sick. The food selection is very limited and filled with old food.

Decided to stop by and try the buffet here after not being here in a cpl years, it didn't disappoint! The buffet line is an always well stocked and seems fresh. A cpl of the beef dishes were a bit tough and chewy but had good tastes. Staff keeps your glasses full so you won't run low. Plenty of fruit and desserts to choose from. The mix used in the ice cream machine is VERY sweet, diabetics beware! The Mongolian Grill is currently closed do to the significant increase in prices, but hopefully they'll soon return.

Service is as good. Food, not so much. Dirty rice had a weird taste. Orange chicken was very chewy.

Why all the super bad reviews? It's a Chinese buffet. You're not going to get gourmet food. You're there for quantity. We had several plates of food (not the filled to over-flowing like most folks). Come on people, you can go back for seconds, thirds, etc. The buffet is the usual appetizers of spicy wings, spring and egg rolls, Rangoon, dumplings, bbq ribs. Entrees include bed and broccoli, spicy chicken, crab legs, fish, shrimp, etc. The surprise was that the sushi was not bad. Fresh-tasting. Give them a try.

Great food, waiter was awesome and my Grandsin was happy to go back a second time! He barely strays from grilled cheese, bean n cheese tacos, ham n cheese tacos n pizza! So happy he loves this place!

The shrimp was gross. The food is left out too long. The counter staff was rude. It's over-priced. The blue crab was overcooked. My kids would only eat the garlic bread. The wonton soup was cold, and super gross, with the pastry overdone. The only thing ok was the fried rice and some of the sushi. How the he'll do you charge 15.00 a person for this gross food. Will never go back. And shrimp is not supposed to have the gi tract in it!

I wasn't very satisfied with this place food was cold found a hair in my food paid $35 for 2 ppl and we ate one plate then I had to go restroom and see this really ruined my appetite don't recommend going there

I ate at the China Harbor on Fredericksburg Road in October 2023 and arrived at lunch time when the price was cheaper. Apparently, I stayed a little longer and dinner was being served by the time I left. The problem arose when I went back to the buffet and got ONE crawfish tail and the female Chinese woman came to me and told me I had to pay extra. So, I apologized and went to pay extra and explained to the Chinese man that I had put ONE crawfish on my plate and he said that was OK. I decided not to ever go there again. The food was alright, but the selection was not great.

This place doesn't even deserve a HALF star..A piece of wood sticking out from their wall, scrapped my mom's dress (thankfully it wasn't a child that ran into it) and the employee at the front desk didn't think it was a big deal.. THEN as we were eating, a mail fell from their ceiling on my mom's plate of food..that could have landed in one of our children's food or drink... we were still waiting for the manager for the first incident. Well the same women at the front desk called us liars....and proceeded to call the cops on us.... The cops thought the call was a joke as do we... This place is not only ridiculous with their customer service, but also their facility..With as much as they even charge children per their HEIGHT, they can't even afford to get their vents cleaned?...dust was CAKED on the vent just above us.DO NOT EAT HERE OR JUST NOT THIS LOCATION..
