Chicago Hot Dogs

I wasn't too hungry however I've driven by this place many times. It was just on a whim that I wanted to give it a try. The hotdog was very good, the poppy seed bun was warm and super soft, the hotdog itself is a Vienna style dog, it had a good bite to it and was flavorful. I figured I'd try one of the simplest hotdogs to see if they could get it right. Because let's face it, if you can't get a regular hotdog right why be in the hotdog business. I'm glad to say it was very good, I was a little skeptical about the poppy seed bun but was pleasantly surprised. The bun gave it a subtle twist to a regular bun. I will be back to try the Chicago dog and the San Antonio style dogs.

First thing I noticed was the restaurant was clean! The second thing, I was greeted by the owner who was cordial and polite. The third and final thing is the food was delicious. I had a taste for an Italian beef and didn't want to drive to another establishment, so I for the first time coming here wasn't a bad decision. They could've dipped it a little longer but next time I'll let'm know. After I paid he asked if I wanted to be part of the rewards program but I declined, laughingly he said oh you want to make sure it's good, and I said of course. Well it's good enough for a second visit.

The ambiance has lots of decor from Chicago and a really cool mural on the wall. The atmosphere is very relaxed and family oriented. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. I talked with the staff and it felt like i was back home with my family. The food was excellent. I got the special with italian beef and italian sausage. The meat was delicious. The bread they use really brings it together. The french fries have a good crisp with a generous portion size.

Friendly staff, amazing food, and affordable prices! While visiting San Antonio, we stopped by for a few hot dogs and a pizza puff--an underrated gem. Thank you for being open on NYE, serving the community with such care and quality. Highly recommend!

Tonight, hubby had dinner with the BSF men's group. Dad and I headed to @chicagohotdogsusa for dinner. This past Saturday, they celebrated their 3rd year anniversary with $3 hotdogs.Amado took my order, served us and check to make sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Monday Special, which was a Chicago hotdog, fries and drink. I got the Build Your Own hotdog for Dad since he prefers the American Dog with lots of relish. Dad and I shared the fries and there was plenty for both of us. Dad and I both had Lemonade. I also wanted to try the Italian Beef Sandwich. Meat was so tender from the few bites I had. The dipping sauce definitely adds flavor. Amado was explaining that making the Italian Beef is a 2-day process. First, it cooks for 4 hours the first day. The second day is when the chilled meat is sliced. I think this is the first time I've tried this. First time here. I wanted to see if the chicago hot dog hit the spot & it did not disappoint. It was one of the best we've had in town. We also tried the chili cheese dog which i thought was ok. The chili was excellent but was not a fan of the cheese (it was just ok) but overall still decent. The fries were fresh & tastey. We also had the italian beef sandwich whoch was wet but excellent. We will definitely be back. The staff was friendly. They checked on us a few times. Great experience.

Amazing Chicago dog. The vegetables and beef quality was top tier probably the best Chicago dog I ever had in San Antonio.

Good people great food got the chili dog and pizza everything was good good prices too
