Chama Gaucha Steakhouse - San Antonio

Amazing!!! Went here for lunch...had to get forklifted out, lol! I highly recommend the chicken drums, and the beef rib. Nothing negative about the other meats, but those stood out specifically.Service was excellent as well!

We have saved our review until after trying other Brazilian steakhouses in San Antonio as well as other cities, and by far, Chama has proved itself time and time again that San Antonio is fortunate to have the only true 5 out of 5 restaurant, more than likely, in the State of Texas. Not only is it your expected steakhouse with it's environment, elegance and service, but the food and attention to detail, as well as outstanding personnel such as Jerod, Carly and Irineu truly make your experience one of a kind like no other that can match. We constantly find that other steakhouses just don't reach the standard upheld by Chama and their devotion represented in all that they do. Even honoring requests is not unheard of, accommodated by staff for their customers. You'll find different experiences for either dining or at the bar, yet still be in awe when comparing to any other Brazilian Steakhouses. Examples include : server knowledge in requested meats to be cooked, drinks are addicting/exclusive to Chama, request of music/volume, a more dimmed ambience, rather than a bright loud cafeteria-like environment, fresh aroma scent, valet, their deligence in strick cleanliness. The only way to make this restaurant even better, although it's already 5-star-perfect, is to hire a professional restroom attendent that reflects even more of Chauma's class with a representative in black tie attire. Well continue to try new steakhouses, but so far, if you haven't tried this place, come hungry, cause their establishment here in San Antonio is worth every dime you have and you'll likely never be disappointed so long as their ethics continue into their future!

In all fairness, part of our party was late! BUT only 16 minutes late. Hey you deal with an active three year old. They sat us and they were very busy. BUT I personally felt like the server who was assigned to us was pushing us. Like to turn us! I hate being turned! Especially when the tab is close to a grand including the tip! Really?The offer of the buffet like starter table was impressive as always. The variety is quite large and all of it was delicious according to our whole party.They started to bring the variety of meat out and again it was fast and furious. One after another. Then again I personally felt pressured. The steaks were excellent. Sides were also quite good ie mashed potatoes, French fries and delicious hot pop over muffins. Others enjoyed fried bananas and plantains.Although the drinks were pretty pricey the people who ordered them said they were very good. Overall, I think if you have a special occasion this would be a fun place when it was not so busy.

Food was excellent! Service started out ok due to selection of meats were coming by our table as often as they were to other tables until I complained about. Other than that, great staff, plenty of rooms for multi large and private parties.

Hands down the best Brazilian steak house. Service was beyond amazing. You cannot find service like this anywhere. Salad bar was average compared to most Brazilian all you can eat, nothing special. Meats were delicious. When you have amazing service, the food tastes better. I recommend the Sessi red wine and Aaron knows his stuff. Goran, Mauri, Bri and Nick gave us the best experience. This place is popping and they dont skip a beat.

We've been here & Brasao up IH-10 for work events. I will suggest there's pros and cons to both. Overall, the experience and food are 10/10.Here are the pros:-if traveling with a big group, they seat you at a round table so it's easy to speak to everyone.-if you have someone who only eats halal, they accommodate by serving halal lamb(my buddy was through the roof upon finding this one out-comparing it to Brasao, they are not stingy at brining out their best cuts(picanha, ribeye, lamb chops)Here are the cons: -the space is open and the sound levels are HIGH. You will have a difficult time hearing what the person 2 down is saying.-the cheese, salad bar is slightly less impressive than Brasao's-don't take a really nice shirt. I had a couple of servers accidentally spill meat onto my shirt(no worries cuz I'm not that picky plus it's a madhouse for lunch)Overall a great experience and will be coming again.

We have been here several times and I've always had a wonderful experience. This particular time I will say that everything tasted as good as it should have and the service was as good as we have come to expect. The issue was with the availability of the meat products that people come here for.We did not see a lot of gout shows walking around the floor tonight. We had to ask several times for certain meets before they would come out. I don't know if the restaurant was short staffed, or if there were some sort of issue with the grilling system, But it meant for a very long time for me and a very long meeting for the four of us in general.As I said, the food and the service was on point, it was just a drag, having to be here for two hours in order for us to get everything that we wanted to eat. I will also say that the Caiparenias were a little different than what we were used to...

Hands Down - This is the best Brazilian steakhouse. Food is amazing. Rib eye, Picanha, filet mignon, lamb chops you name it. Service never disappoints. It is always great. Always top of the game. Ambiance feels elite. Beautiful table clothes and i love that you can hang your bag. Everything is well thought Also this restaurant has the best salad buffet, but it is a trap so keep yourself for the meat :)No need further explanation. This is your place for anything special or when you crave meat!

Took my family of 5 to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary this past Saturday. We had been here before and had a great experience, but this time was a disappointment. Our table received one side of mash potatoes, one side of polenta, and one side of plantain the entire time we were there. The servers with the meat would bypass our table constantly even though our cards were face up green. We had to ask for them to please bring fillet minion, which came out about 20 minutes later. I was served about 2 slices of sirloin, one slice of lamb, and a small portion of fillet the entire meal. The bar cart came around more often than the meat servers. At a cost of just under $500 for the meal, 4 lemonades, 1 tea, 2 drinks from the bar, 2 desserts, and tip, it would have been nice to actual have meat and sides with the "meal". Such a disappointment for our 28th Anniversary celebration.

Service here is TOP NOTCH! Regardless how busy they are, you never feel unnoticed. They work hard here and I appreciate that. Meats are always bomb, that bottom sirloin does something to me. It should be a crime how delicious it is. Not really a pork lover, but if you're into that this location serves pork ribs and lots of bacon wrapped options. Their caipirinhas are good, but not better than my favorite spot in Houston. Hard to beat Tourao's caipirinhas. That doesn't take away from how delicious everything else is. I often crave their Caesar salad, love their caramelized bananas and the cheesy bread. Chama always buss, BUT the highlight of this location is the staff, service and enviroment.
