Cellar Mixology by Toro Kitchen + Bar

If you're a speakeasy kind of person, certainly check it out!Came on a Saturday night, early beating the crowd. We had the place to ourselves before an earlier dinner at Toro Kitchen & Bar. Make sure to get creative with the phone, before entering through the door to the cellar. The bar tenders provided exceptional service, walking us through our choices in the menu. An unexpected mystical experience offering spherical alcoholic concoctions (think of it as a jelly sphere that pops in your mouth releasing a mixed drink). The old fashioned is solid, too, with a branded ice cube and a display of flames to add some smokiness to it. Pro Tip: Happy Hour W-F 5-9 PM; reserve a time earlier, rather than later, and then follow-up with a meal at Toro.

I really hate to write bad reviews especially for locally owned businesses, but I recently had a horrible experience here & at their new bar next door, Stylus. We went Friday night to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. Upon getting to the entrance of Cellar, the bouncer & security guard told my boyfriend he was not allowed to go in. We originally thought they were joking so we laughed it off, but turns out they were 100% serious. When we asked what the reasoning was, they falsely accused him of being someone else who had previously disrespected the owner. When we tried to explain that that was not him, they completely dismissed us and were adamant that it was and did not even try to help the situation by going to get proof. I was frustrated because I knew they were in the wrong but they kept treating us like we were dumb. Finally, one of the members of my group went inside to speak with the owner (same owner as Toro & Cuishe) and demanded for video or picture proof. While he was doing so, the security guard outside even had to audacity to come up to me and say "I am sorry to tell you this, but it was your boyfriend in the video." I asked him if he had seen the video and he said no, but that's just what he was told. So how could he even possibly know that?? No more than 5 minutes later, the owner comes out adamantly apologizing stating they were wrong and it was not my boyfriend in the video. Neither the bouncer nor the security guard apologized for their wrongdoings and honestly showed 0 remorse for treating us the way they did. Such an extremely frustrating situation that really makes it difficult for me to ever want to go back to these businesses again. It is really a shame because I have enjoyed dining at Toro and Cuishe, and have enjoyed taking friends from out of town to Cellar as well. Perhaps you should better vet these bouncers and security guards as they are the public's first impression when entering your establishments.

So cool and so much fun. I recommend going early because it fills up quickly . I love the variety of cocktails. It's awesome to watch the mixologists perform their magic

Fun speakeasy!! Loved these little "tide pod" style shots we had and looking forward to trying more of the menu. It's a neat set up how you enter, well decorated inside. Service was super fast when we went, I think it was a little before the crowds came

After the Yelp event we decided to walk around the corner to the Toro bar and would you believe it, a "SPEAK EASY" in the cellar of the building making some of the most amazing cocktails and sphereifications ever! Super friendly staff that is constantly moving and you never get ignored.The vibe was really cool, chill music, nice seating, great bar area and good drinks.

I've been here a few times before and it has always been a good experience. I stopped here tonight and waited at least 30 minutes before I was "acknowledged". The gentleman literally served everyone around me but me. I was at the front of the bar, the ladies to my right had to frantically wave him down to be acknowledged. I waved, he made eye contact but ignored me and served some obnoxious Chad that climbed bar stool. Never had a bad experience until tonight. Sadly disappointed.

Cool spot. Security guarding and IDing at the door. You walk in and immediately straight stairs. Opens up to the bar and lounge area. Great atmosphere. Not overly crowded, it was a Thursday night at about 1100pm. Adequate seating, lounge areas with couches and comfortable chairs and more chairs at the bar. Had one drink, an old fashioned, looked fancy, tasted okay. Nothing special. Live entertainment, really enjoyed that, she sang very well. Clean bathrooms. I would definitely return.

We discovered Cellar Mixology after it was recommended to us and what a fabulous experience it was! This truly hidden gem located in the cellar below Toro Kitchen had everything from a cool vibe to skilled bartenders crafting unique mixed drinks. This is a great little speak easy worth visiting for the quality craft cocktails, the ambiance and choreographed mixology experience offered by the bartenders.

My go to spot when I want to go celebrate with my friends ! Perfect place for a 21st birthday or friendship anniversary or simply a date with your significant others. The Dj will forever have a special place in my for always playing my requested music!! I wish we got his name, just know he's a bit younger and had the BEST energy on Friday nights. Best drink: their yummy mojitos!

I wouldn't step foot in this place if they paid me. I walked up to the door and was immediately turned away because they were 100% sure I had come the week before and been belligerent and violent. Long story short, they reviewed the security cameras and realized it wasn't me. The security guard proceeded to be extremely demeaning to my girlfriend and group of friends. The guard refused to apologize or take any accountability. Take a look at the other reviews, I'm not the first and won't be the last to have an experience like this. This business will fail and it will bring a smile to my face when it does. Treat people better.
