We came to Casa Hernán for some drinks and i was so impressed by the vibes in there! The place looked really on brand with all of the decorations and colors. The seats and tables were really comfortable to sit back and have great conversations with those around you! The service was amazing despite it being kind of busy with big groups. To eat we had chips and guacamole, but the best thing about the night was the Queso fundido. Omg was it amazing!! I will definitely be going back just for that queso fundido.5 stars all the way.

Went for happy hour. It wasn't busy at all. The waiter did tell us that it gets busy on the weekends and that brunch on Sundays is very busy. they do recommend reservations for Sunday brunch. We did get waiter service at the chairs in the lounge area. We ordered a margarita and a Corazón de Melon. I will say the Corazón de melon was the better of the two. the waiter did say that is the most popular. They also provided us with some complimentary potato chips topped with queso fresco, creama and hot sauce that I believe is Valentina. They do have snacks that you can order if you want food with your drinks. The music they were playing that day was pretty good. Not super loud. I did notice they have a small parking area. There's also street parking.

I gave this restaurant 3 stars. While the service was attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was unfortunately bland. What really didn't work for me, though, was the music selection - it felt more like a club than a brunch spot. For the price, I expected a more enjoyable experience. Maybe try adjusting the playlist to better fit the brunch vibe and put Amor into your dishes.

One of my favorite bars in San Antonio, I had the Cantina Margarita with Herradura Blanco, Cointreau, Passion Fruit, & Sal de Gusano and the Corazón de melón with Vodka, Watermelon, Cucumber, & Mint. Both were fantastic, delicious, and potent. Service was excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you want to talk your company come early for happy hour because later in the evening it's almost impossible to hear any conversation because of the blaring music.

Casa Hernán Cantina is one of the funnest places to visit in Southtown! If you are looking for the club vibes, but don't have the energy to actually go to a club (definitely me!) this place is for you! I visited Casa Hernan last month for their Mexico's Independence Day celebration and it was such a fun time. The place was packed, but thankfully a had made a reservation a couple days before. Making a reservation was not the easiest process so I would recommend messaging them via Instagram and giving them the date, time, full name and email address for your reservation. That was the only way I was able to get someone to help me. At the beginning I thought Casa Hernan was a restaurant, but I would consider them more of a bar/cantina type of place. The decoration of the place is absolutely beautiful and I must say they have the comfiest chairs that make you want to stay there all nice. For my first time I decided to try their Corazon de melon cocktail, which has vodka, watermelon, cucumber and mint, topped with a watermelon spicy paleta. The drink was refreshing and unique, and tasted so good. For food, we ordered the queso fundido and some chips and salsa with guacamole. Everything tasted delicious and it paired really well with their drinks. Their music was also on point throughout the night, and we had such a great time in there. Also, please note that they do a weekend brunch special. I haven't had a chance to check it out but the food looks delicious.

This bar was ok at first music was great. However staff is rude and manager takes their side. My glass was dirty and the bartenders tried to fix it. Manager did not ever hear me out. I would not come back. And beware of hidden charges.

Highly recommended for team events! This place was pretty amazing! The decor and ambiance were incredible. We had a group of 16 in for a team meeting. Chef Johnny, JD and staff certainly did it right for us. We started with a bit of a history lesson of the area, which was really cool. Then, Chef gave us a few pointers before we broke into teams and did our salsa making competition. Unfortunately my team did not win, but we all made some amazing salsas. We then moved to the casual cantina area for an amazingly curated, authentic Mexican dinner. No Tex-Mex here! Purely authentic, and purely delicious. I'd highly recommend a visit whether for team building or just to stop by for a drink, music and food!
