Caracheo's Mexican Restaurant

Love this spot! Always comes in clutch with value, portions, flavor, and service. I usually come on Sunday mornings and grab a small table to myself or with the kids. They love the pancakes here and I can't get enough of their beans and salsas! This time I got the omelette but I highly recommend the breakfast tacos. See more on my Instagram page @angelfooddude

Im leaving 1 star only because of flavor and hospitality. I ordered a Barbacoa taco on corn. It tasted very spoiled and corn tortilla tasted freezer burn.The employees tried to get me to order something else and unfortunately the food left a really bad taste in my mouth, I didn't appreciate the very young waitress laughing at the fact I didn't like the food . We all work hard for our money and I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't like at all. I took one bite , and yuck . I will maybe try it again but not very soon.

Superb tacos, I've been far and wide and tried tacos religiously and these are top 3 possibly even the best I've ever had. Super fresh, perfect tortilla, excellent ratios and filling, every filling option was well prepared and tasty, excellent salsa, decent prices, good service. Couldn't ask for more.

I had so many high hopes for this restaurant because all of the other people that left reviews & from a couple of friends saying this place was the best. I left a little disappointed. I have to say parking was easy but I can see why others complain about it.We sat down at a cleaned table as soon as we walked in. Waitress took our drink orders, came back and took our food orders as well as brought chips and salsa. The chips were kind of bland in my opinion, the salsa they provide for the table was very good though!Waitress brought us our food, and after that she kind of disappeared for a little while. It wasn't that busy, there we're about 8-9 tables with probably 4 total servers. I had finished another drink and was waiting for her to bring me a water, and that took longer than it should. But no biggy my friend and I were catching up enjoying each others company.The food was so very bland. I was shocked. Even the beans had no flavor. I was shocked to say the least, even more so because I had red sauce on it too! I'm not sure if we came in an off day, because based on others reviews they rave about this place. But alas, my overall opinion is that this restaurant was very mediocre. 1 docked star for service & another docked star for food quality/taste... maybe I'll come back to try once more, but it will be very low on my list to get back around to do.

This place never disappoints. Service is always great and fast. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The breakfast tacos with the homemade tortillas are always on point and their carne guisada is hands down the best in town. Being born and raised in deep South Texas the carne guisada is king and this place does it extremely well. Hats off to Caracheo's for all their hard work.

This is a staple for my family and I. We go frequently and get a variety of plates. Their chips and salsa are fresh and unlimited. You can't go wrong with their combination plates (however they will stick the crispy taco/chalupa near sauce and it will most likely be soggy, fair warning). Their barbacoa has good flavor, and their plate is enough to share between 1 and a half, maybe 2 people. Not to mention, we've gone in with a party of 8 and the food always comes out fresh and quick. Pick whatever you want off the menu, and you won't be disappointed.

I'm required to write an essay for some reason. I was starving. Went here and ordered breakfast.Great service, great value, great food. Loved it!

Food was excellent. Had the chilaquiles and was delicious. Service was prompt. No complaints. Ambiance was pleasant. A clean restaurant.

This don't deserve one star It doesn't let me take away that one star but I had a really bad experience here The beans were water and I asked them for a different taco and they gave me the same taco with more liquid beans on top And I ordered a carne guisada too and it was only two pieces of meat in there with sauce And that taco is like four something! Stay away from this place if you like beans and tacos that don't leak out from the sides when you bite it once!

Our favorite family-owned Mexican in San Antonio! AWESOME carne guisada and home-made tortillas. I usually judge Mexican by the quality of their chips and salsa. Chips and (two) salsa here is a winner too.
