Capo’s Pizza Babcock

On my quest to find San Antonio's best Italian sandwich, I decided to give this place a shot--especially since it's boldly located across the street from the legendary Zito's. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite deliver. While the staff was friendly (a definite plus), the sandwich took an eternity to arrive, leaving me plenty of time to observe the sketchy parking lot--a popular hangout for panhandlers post-shift. The food itself? Generous portions, but nothing to write home about. All in all, a nice effort, but size and smiles aren't enough to crown a sandwich champion. On to the next!

Second time we've been here and this was a much different experience. We waited over an hour and a half for a pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks.. usually when there's a wait that long, you call to let the customer know rather than us coming and having to sit there for this long. I understand large orders can prevent others orders from being done on time, but just the courtesy of letting us know or even giving us something small while we sat there and waited for our order would've been nice. The pizza wasn't great and mozz sticks were cold -- they probably made these first.

I used the Slice app to have 2 large pizzas delivered. I ordered a large sausage and a large green pizza. When the driver arrived, I saw him holding the pizza bag at an angle. Sure enough, when I opened the boxes, both pizzas were ruined and squished to one size of the box. I was going to let it go, but I spent $80 between food, delivery, and tip. So I took the pizzas to the store to show them what I got delivered. The employees were very friendly and apologetic. They immediately remade my pizzas and told me to take the mistakes also. I ended up with 4 large pizzas. I had to take some to my coworkers just to get rid of all of it. It was the best customer service I've received in a long time. This is now my go to pizza place.

Oh boy. I once again hate the leave a bad review but the food was really bad. Edible but just plain awful. The perks were the service in the front of house and that pizza crust. The crust was great. Now if they just added a flavorful sauce to it and cheese that didn't taste like a grease bomb, they would be doing it right. That meat ball sub? Something out of a hospital cafeteria. Zero flavor and the government cheese didn't help. The wings just looked sad. Not crisp and a bit rubbery. Also bland. The ranch and bleu cheese did have some really good flavor though so win-win. If you've ever been to the NE side of the country you'd know that This unfortunately isn't a great place to get pizza. But it sure looks it from the pictures and reviews.

Service was amazing, guy was super nice. Watched him make the pizza and he checked in with us throughout the meal even though this gave off a more fast casual vibe. Food was great, we got a whole pie this time with some wings. Slight knock as the pizza crust was a little crispier than I like, but it was still great overall.

New york style pizza. We stopped in for a slice of the Supreme and a drink. For 6 bucks and a nice table we sat and enjoyed a late lunch or an early dinner. The crust was perfect, the kind you can fold and still get a crunch. Wonderful toppings. Yum!Stop in. Park in front of the pawn shop for easy access.

Stoped by on the way home from my son's track meet at heroes. Pizza is good with big slices. Very yummy.

On the crazy snow day in Jan (2025) my entire team showed up for work and I wanted to treat them to something special. Capo's Pizza at Babcock was the closest pizza. I called and explained what I needed (Pizza for about 10-12 people) plus an order of the "cheese bread". I was in no rush to get it delivered. Sun was already out the roads were safe. About 35 min later, the most amazing pizza arrived. It was fabulous and hot and perfect!! And oh my, the "cheese bread", turned to be the most cheese, garlic, cheese and butter "cheesy bread" , made out of pizza dough and cut into slices!! I could eat that all day long! KUDOS to Capo's GREAT service!! Great Pizza and ridiculous CHZ BREAD!! Thank you for making my day!!

The BEST Pizza I've had in San Antonio so far. Everyone was so nice, it was clean and my order was hot and ready when I got there. It's a little out of my way but I had to try it. I'm glad I did! It was also very affordable. The pictures don't do it justice. I'm not sure what seasonings they put on the pizza but it makes all the difference!! It was so tasty. I will be coming here again and telling all my friends and family about Capos!
