Candlelight used to be one of my favorite brunch spots on the Strip. All of that quickly changed when they moved into a smaller building that used to house NOLA Brunch and Beignets. When I walked in I've noticed lots of changes were made and I wasn't feeling them. Their menu is no longer written on a chalkboard. You have to have a smartphone and scan their menu with the QR code. Oh and cash is no longer accepted. Electric payment only. Change isn't always a good thing because it's not going to be for the better, just the opposite. If it ain't broke then don't fix it and leave well enough alone. Candlelight has failed me for the first and last time.

Food was fantastic; ordering system a nightmare. Having just moved to San Antonio we made plans to go to Callums ATA Boy for brunch. Looooong line so we came next door to Candlelight. To begin with we didn't know what to do to get service. Apparently they are completely digital with no instructions on the table how to use. The whole process was disjointed and convoluted. Further I was treating my friends and we could figure out how to put it all on one ticket. We had to ask wait staff over and over how to use the system. We were about to abandon the process as we had been there 20 minutes just trying to figure out how to order. Additionally because each one of us had to put in a separate order our food came out at wildly disparate times with one of use almost finishing their dish before the rest of us got our food. NUTS!!!! To their credit, the food was delicious-best home fries ever. They need to DUMP their digital system or train their staff to follow up with guests on whether orders have been placed, confirm orders and then submit orders. Despite the great food, will not be going back so long as they have the digital system.

This marked my second visit to this spot. Initially, drawn in by the delightful mimosas during my first visit, I couldn't resist a return. Seated in the enchanting back garden, parasols sheltered us from the sun, and fans kept pesky flies at bay. The team's warm hospitality and engaging conversations enhanced the experience. Ordering via the app did test our patience, resulting in a delay for our food. However, the manager (or so we presumed) graciously presented a mimosa kit as a gesture, a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. Once the dishes arrived, the breakfast platter and brunch nachos lived up to expectations, earning praise from my guests, with one declaring it the best meal in San Antonio. Despite the initial hiccup, I would unquestionably revisit for brunch.

After seeing Candlelight Pour House on numerous social media sites, I wanted to visit! My parents and I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 10:45AM. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait and we could wait in the outdoor seating area. I didn't mind the wait but was hoping to order mimosas for while we waited BUT they don't allow that. Once we were finally seated, it was a table in direct sun at the kitchen entrance so we asked to move tables. They said it wasn't as easy as just moving us because we had already been assigned to our table through the ordering system. The use toast tan so you don't have a server and order everything on your own through an app (drinks, refills, meals, etc). I personally didn't like the system at all. The servers that delivered the food and drinks were very friendly but I can imagine the system isn't easy on them either. It took almost an hour for our food to come out and we had to ask that our order be checked on. Once requested, they brought it out (I think it had been sitting there and they forgot to bring it out). We ordered the following: - Orange mimosa: Tasted like straight juice - Apricot mimosa: Tasted like straight juice - Bloody Mary: Very good. Interesting that they use a wine based vodka for this - BLT: No condiments on the sandwich, very dry and not very tasty. Served with chips that tasted like they had been left out for days. - Turkey Club: Also very dry and the bacon was over cooked. Served with the same chips as above. - Candlelight Breakfast: The flavors were good but the food itself was cold. I would've usually request the issue be fixed but I was so hungry from the long wait. We all agreed we would never return and wouldn't order anything again except for the Bloody Mary.

Super slow service. Took forever to even get our drinks. Manager stated it is normal to wait a long time at high end restaurant... im sitting outside in lawn chairs... trying to find where the high end is? Would not recommend this place unless you are extremely patient.

Food! Service! Ambiance!All 10/10!We went on a Saturday afternoon. The vibes you get as soon as you walk in is everything. There was just enough people there and not overcrowded. Being off the strip, parking can be challenging but it is doable. The food was delicious. Nothing we had was just average. You can tell there was effort made to make the dishes delicious.
