Camp Verde General Store and Restaurant

So, we've been to Camp Verde general store and restaurant 3 times in the past 4 months. My wife wanted to eat breakfast/brunch on Sunday and get a jump on Christmas decorations shopping at the general store. The store has quality Christmas decorations for sale. The holidays are still a couple of months away but the early bird gets the worm! We spent a good part of yesterday, Sunday, shopping at their store. Its really full of goodies. Today, Monday, we went back to eat lunch (mostly) but also made another trip to their store. Of course my wife bought more stuff! The service, both at the restaurant and their store are amazingly efficient and very helpful. Yesterday was a fun day because we got a sales lady there that helped us through all our purchases. If you want to enjoy a day out in the country, eat fabulous food and shop til you drop kind of day, Camp Verde is there to make your day! Great food, great shopping - what a combo!

Omg!!! Everything was perfect! This historical spot was a military post and has soooo many beautiful buildings and views! The food is the icing on top! Started with a wonderful and attentive waitress and the food came out quickly and steaming hot! We got friend pickle spears with ranch to start and my husband got a messy burger and I got a club sandwich! Best one I had in a while. The general store literally has the cutest things! Perfect for all your Christmas shopping needs! We will be back

This is our second visit and the food, service and ambiance is 5star! Our waitress was so professional, sweet and very informative. She made sure we made room for there house deserts. It such a pretty drive it the Camp Verde!

Wonderful location great historic location to walk around. Shop has nice items a little pricey but nice to just look. The restaurant reminded me of a modern Victorian place, servers ate so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. We enjoyed our time here

Two days prior, we drove past Camp Verde on our way to Fredericksburg and made a mental note to look it up. Intrigued, we decided to stop by for breakfast before beginning our journey home to Fort Worth.We arrived a little before opening and waited in our car before heading inside shortly after 8am. We were, of course, the first and only party seated.We ordered coffee, tea, the omelette, and the huevos rancheros. We were shocked that the omelette automatically comes with everything ingredients listed - we assumed it was a "pick what you like" type thing like at other spots. So my husband got everything, except the jalapeños. It was delicious! Well seasoned and each ingredient was cooked perfectly.The huevos rancheros were also delicious! Nice and crispy tortillas - but not crunchy, they were just perfect. Lots of flavor in the beans and salsa. Perfect bacon...and the potatoes! So crispy, fluffy, and nicely seasoned. We couldn't get over how tasty they were.Staff was friendly and attentive. The shop has lots of fun items, and the grounds were very pretty. We enjoyed the brief walk around before settling back in the car for a long ride home.

Lovely dining room, and really nice servers who do a great job! All the dishes we've tried have been delicious. They have an excellent breakfast menu!

Went on Sunday afternoon Memorial Day weekend. Was a 30 minute wait but you can skip the line with a reservations. They give you a remote so you can wander the awesome store. We splurged all out and the price was good.Great presentation, awesome staff, and great ambiance. Everything tasted so good and the Peach Cobbler was amazing! If I could change anything it would perhaps the onion rings. Just a tad thick and could use better breading. Such a great place!

What a gem! Worth the stop to eat and shop. The food was delicious and service stellar. The shopping while we waited for a table was fun and eclectic. Recommend reservations for busy times. Loved it and will go again!

The food is wonderful!! We love the chicken fried chicken. Their bread is crunchy and great. Great serving staff. Lovely restaurant atmosphere. The general store is beautiful with all kinds of kitchen items, children's clothes and toys, handbags, very unique items.It's in a beautiful location and is open 7 days a week.

Camp Verde General Store is under new ownership. Oh my, how the food has declined. They have most of their former menu, plus new specials and both are not up to par, plus the prices have increased. I mentioned this to our server and was told the new chef cooks what he likes, despite negative comments from the customers. We keep going back hoping it will improve, but nothing has changed. We had lunch there today and I could not eat it. I hope new management pays more attention to their chef and the menu. We have always loved this restaurant and want to see it back on track.
