I feel bad that the place shut done. Not sure why but we had been coming here for years. Remember we'd come as a family to visit other family. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing.

You can go to fancy seafood restaurants, but the taste cannot be compared to this one! It is an authentic seafood restaurant. I know that is located on the Southside of the city, it doesn't look so attractive from the outside and it definitely doesn't look so good from the inside either, but its food its amazing and best of all very cheap! You won't be dissapointed! The garlic soup is amazing as an appetizer!

If you eat seefood then this is the place to be. They've been around for a while and have have everything you'd want--EVERYTHING. I always learn a new word or two in Spanish here, because someone in my party will order pulpo, or bagre, or ask for a special preparation of a certain aquatic critter. The plates are enormous, and they come with sides and a garlicky soup that can cure the worse of ailments (or so I'm told). Come hungry or with someone to share, as even the smaller dishes appear to use the equivalent of a whole fish. But as a vegetarian there is just about nothing to eat here. Our waitress was nice enough to put in a special order of quesadillas con hongos for me, loaded with gobs of cheese and mushrooms but all-together too greasy for my digestive system to handle. My favorite time to visit Mexican seafood places is during Lent because they'll have lentils and nopales for me to eat. And capirotada!

To sum it up. You are walking into a taqueria with Red Lobster prices. ..... The food was good but not worth $50 for two plates and 4 quesadillas 4 sodas. I ordered the lambada plate, its a fajita plate of shrimp, steak and chicken To my surprise it comes with no tortillas. You have to pay extra for them. What? fajita plate in San Antonio with no tortillas; Robbery; you are paying $15 for the plate. We ordered quesadillas for the kids, $2 each, the are the smallest quesadillas that I have ever seen. Mini taco size. Look I dont mind paying whatever you charge for the food as long as you take care of my family; but here is the spoiler part. The service started out great and then he never came back to get us a 2nd round of drinks. We even had to wait for our check. We wanted a small container to take our overpriced quesadillas and he never came by to ask about our food or to s÷ if we needed anything else. Not until we got up to leave to go pay and he finally came up to us to give us our check as we were leaving. I could have had a better experience somewhere else. I dont think I will ever come back. Yes I was the one who left .98 cents as tip. I usually take care of people that take care of me and my family. This is the one time ever where .98 cents worth of service is all I got. Even the lady at the counter was surprised that I was leaving .98 cents as tip and instead of asking why to see if there was something they could inprove on she ignored it. I wish I could have told them, instead I will tell the next guy, go somewhere else.

Started off with 6 oysters on a half shell. A little dirty but that had a good taste and smell. I really like cocktail sauce they serve with it as it has a hint of sweet taste. Nice counter to a few drops of Tabasco.Michilada was okay and could of used more of the mix. No heat to it and rim nicely salted.Fisher off with a huge fish plater that seemed to have 2 defend types of fish. This cane with fries or mash and a small side of rice. This plate is plenty for 2 people, especially if you get a starter. Overall solid 3.8

This is definitely a South side Lent staple! I love coming here, and not just during Lent. The staff is always friendly and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The food is always fresh and tasty, not to mention the portions are huge and the prices are low. I especially love their garlic soup, also known as "levanta muertos" - soup with an aroma so potent and taste so delicious it'll wake the dead! If you're looking for authentic Mexican style seafood, this is the place to go!

I decided to try something new today ! After spending all my life on the Southside and passing by that funky blue building countless times on Pleasanton rd, I have always wanted to eat there, but it is kinda easy to pass up, because the road is soo long ! They have a coupon in this year entertainment book for 5$ off, which btw I got the book free with a new subscription to the the Express-News paper. I checked the reviews on Yelp first and decided they were good enough to give it a try ! I have to admit the interior looks better than the inside and was expecting it to be a little more fancy inside -kinda ordinary looking despite having a fancy sounding name. I ordered the Shrimp Enchilada plate and for $8.95 this was totally worth it, because not only do you get the enchiladas, you get garlic soup as an appetizer, and your plate comes with French fries, rice pilaf and a little salad ( lettuce) . The garlic soup smelled kinda weird, but my mom said she loved it, so that was a good sign ! I started to eat mine and I really liked it too. The 3 shrimp enchiladas were amazing with melted cheese on top and tangy lime cilantro sauce. I did really good with my choice - the price was right and we were really satisfied with the great taste and service ! I highly recommend the Shrimp enchiladas, for being the first time trying them -I'm soo glad I took the chance and tried something new and refreshingly good ! I did have one little complaint though- the ranch dressing I asked for , for my little salad was not really ranch dressing but I think goat milk cream ?? The waitress spoke very little English, so I think maybe she didn't understand ! Lol
