"We went for Valentines night to see Natalie Rose sing and we are so glad we did. Everything was excellent. They were super busy but kept the drinks and food coming. We had a cachuterie board and a few of the flatbreads. It was all so delicious, especially the cheese cake for dessert. I had several glasses of the wine and they were all good. Everyone was so friendly and we were hugging the owners good bye by the end of the night. This place is a must to check out! Cannot wait to go back when it is warm and sit outside in their outdoor space."
"3? Only 3? Yes, but with a strong caveat....My wife were looking forward to sharing the award-winning chicken fried steak while on our Texas trip. The beef was, admittedly, some of the best cooked and quality meat served to me this way. The corn, while canned, was hot, buttery, and a huge portion. The mash was good, but....HOW CAN YOU GIVE US LUKEWARM GRAVY ON YOUR AWARD WINNING DISH??? The gravy should be just as hot as the meat and veg. The fried zucchini was actually quite nice. Our servers were.....real. Like, keeping it real, Texas style. Drinks were refilled, and we genuinely felt taken care of.Would recommend, but for the love of Davy Crockett, heat up your gravy!!!!"

"Nice, mellow, and cool joint. If you're getting bad service here, I can only imagine it's a case of transference. The charcuterie was so fresh, and the wine selection is darn extensive! Great vibes! It was a hot Saturday, and after taking the Go Rio Shuttle all the way to the end of the line, we disembarked for a five minute stroll through The Pearl. The nice, dark interior helped ease the heat of day, and the incredibly helpful service was beyond compare. We were able to relax at the bar, have some unique wines we might not choose for ourselves, and enjoy a very fresh charcuterie. They are very welcoming at High Street. My wife got a flight, and she asked for our bartender to put something together, which he did with a nice explanation of each.We found it a nice place to relax between river shuttles and have a completely different sauna Antonio experience. This is a "will definitely return" kind of place. We even bought a tshirt"
"My wife and I discovered a charming and cozy new spot, very close to the house to frequent, located in the Alley (formerly Artisan's Alley). The atmosphere is eclectic, cool and cozy. There are a number of good wines to choose from and some fine cheeses and charcuterie as well. They even have one of my absolute favorites... escargot! I'm definitely looking forward to returning here once again!"
"Saw this place on Texas Bucket List TV show and knew we had to check it out! It was a little chilly today, and they do have patio heaters, but we ate inside. We got the most popular pizza- Texas Sweet Heat and it was fabulous! Perfectly seasoned with heat and honey, and a great size to split with my husband! Then our server Joe (who was amazing, professional gave us a recommendation of the Tiramisu for dessert and he did NOT steer us wrong. It was so good! We'll definitely be back again & ask for Joe, too!"
"I highly recommend this restaurant. Don't let the prices scare you. I went in hungry, which I think makes me more critical than I normally am. Initial Impression. Nice on Inside. We made our way here because our usual place was closed for vacation. Decoration inside reflective of culture. It's very nice. Higher quality memory. Menu: very large menu. With some Chinese food as well. First thing that caught my eye were the prices. Wow. This is a $$$ type of Asian restaurant. While most places I see plates $12-14. Here average price is $18 a plate. With appetizers average is $11. I felt this better be great quality and quantity for the price. And it was! It was worth every penny. I had the pad Thai. I barely finished it. The flavor was fresh and very tasty. My wife has the red curry and it was as expected large size with rice. She asked for extra spicy and it did not disappoint her at all. We opted for no appetizer due to price. The service was also above average. Very nice server. Food arrived FAST and hot. About 8 minutes after we ordered. For reference this is my 2nd time here. I had take out once a few years ago. It hadn't impressed me, but that was years ago, lots of things changed since then."
"Smaller place but great ambiance. If you want somewhere quiet yet with great staff to cater fully to you this is the place. Pro tip: Order a bottle of wine and share. A meal is best with a bottle you can bond over. I like and recommend their Malbecs and Pinot Noirs from the California region. Appetizers are all top notch. I can't help but repeatedly order the Antipasto- adult charcuterie board for those not in the know ;) so many meats, cheeses, honey, fruits, olives and crostinis. I'm typically a fan or the chicken or eggplant parm. The special this week is scallops over fettuccine with a mushroom sauce. Can I get a chefs kiss? Seriously though, this place is the real deal. I've never had a bad meal. The menu is yours to conquer.Don't forget a nice tiramisu or crème brûlée for dessert"
"I've been to the pizza place next to Fredrick's so many times throughout the years, but I had never been into Fredrick's. The entrance is so unassuming you would never know how much deliciousness was inside. The temporary lobster fest banner is what drew us in after going to Florios Pizza, only to find it was closed for a week vacation. Upon entry the restaurant gives a cozy vintage vibe with dim lighting and kind of lounge feels. Everything on their menu sounds delicious. We ordered lobster, calamari, escargot with chorizo, and a beet salad. It was all amazing! I'm sad I just found out about this place. I will definitely be back!"
"Came here for a birthday weekend dinner with a group of 4. Reservations are highly recommended. We were within a crowd of graduates when we visited back in May.The ambiance is gorgeous. Intimate lighting and great table wear. The food was delicious! Great they serve in a communal style because everything on the table was delicious! The waitress recommended great drinks too, most Mediterranean style. I recommend this spot, one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in town!"

"Absolutely the best surprise experience this trip to Texas. An experience you must enjoy first hand. You will not be disappointed. The manager showed us to the third level and introduced us to relax around a place of our choosing. My wife and I made ourselves comfortable at the bar and met a Scot from the highlands name Mike who was so knowledgeable about his profession. We started with a cosmopolitan and a 1792 neat while contemplating food. We selected to share an appetizer of Brussels sprouts and ordered a 10" pizza. Both were absolutely best we experienced in our 20 years off traveling in the NE regions of the USA. Mike made our visit so relaxing and enjoyable. I enjoyed his conversation while sharing experiences glamping in Peru. My wife enjoyed sharing special drink recipes and experiences after mixology training. Definitely a great place to satisfy all dietary palates and cocktails."
"Wow! Came here during lunch on a weekday and it was amazing. There was no wait and the dining room was super open. No one was sitting at the bar and maybe 2-3 other tables in the dining room and one table outside. There was about 3 servers and one manager named Rey all very helpful. You don't get one select server it's all open. We got a bruschetta board Smoked salmon pesto, Sweet n spicy pepper jam goat cheese, Fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and French onion. All of them were super delicious! I got the tomato basil soup or their take on it super good and my friend Fernanda when she comes here she always gets the skewers so I got that and they were amazing. I got the cumber honey lemonade. Overall great lunch! A bit on pricey sidey but it's worth it! Definitely will be back!"

The onion rings at this place rock!! They bring out a huge plate! There were 3 people in our party and we had a hard time finishing them all! By the time we got our entrees, we could barely finish them. THis place has been around since I was a youngster (I'm nearing retirement - for perspective), in the same location, in the same "old house" building with wooden floors and old-timey memorabilia decorating hanging from the walls and ceiling. Someday when I'm back in San Antonio and feeling famished, I'd love to return and try more of their menu offerings. What a great place to hang out and enjoy their music, although it tends to be loud and seating is cramped but it's definitely worth visiting!!

If you love wine, then High Street Wine Company is the place for you!I've been a huge fan of this business, since they opened and I can assure you that the quality in service, wine and food has stayed the same throughout the years. High Street is one of the few wine bars in the city which actually carries a large variety of wines and the staff is always super knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you may have. One of my favorite things about High Street is their location inside The Pearl. They are tucked in across from Cured which makes it feel a little bit more intimate and you are away from all the crowds. Please note they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for anyone bringing a dog. They also offer wine classes twice a month which I've heard are really fun and interactive.

One of my favorite places to spend a weekend afternoon with as glass of wine and a charcuterie board! Staff is always helpful and have never suggested a wine I didn't enjoy. Excellent ambiance to catch up with old friends, enjoy time with family, or just sit and read. Nice dog friendly deck as well. Have been back several times and will keep coming back!

We stopped by around 4pm on a Friday and had no wait. The funghi pizza was delicious and I loved the crust-- crispy, chewy, and structured enough to hold the toppings. I also loved the truffle flavor but it seemed to be concentrated in the middle. If it were more spread through the whole slice I would've enjoyed it more. We also tried the antipasto appetizer which was a fun mix of flavors (especially the blueberry cheese and what I'm assuming was pumpkin jam?), but as pictured the board wasn't quite filled out for $19. I would've even preferred a smaller serving board to at least make it feel like it's a decent portion. Also to note: my plate was not all the way cleanOverall the service was simply okay and it's a quick satisfying meal :)

Here's your revThis Thai gem never disappoints, delivering traditional dishes packed with flavor in a casual and welcoming setting. It's my go-to spot for a comforting and satisfying meal.We started with the fresh rolls and pork fried dumplings, and both were fantastic. The fresh rolls were loaded with crisp, fresh ingredients and paired perfectly with their creamy and flavorful peanut sauce. The pork fried dumplings were golden and crispy on the outside, with a savory filling that was absolutely packed with flavor. For the main entree, we had the combo Yellow Curry, and it's a must-have every time I visit. The curry strikes a perfect balance of flavors--mild yet deeply satisfying, with tender pieces of meat and hearty vegetables like potatoes, onions, carrots, and tomatoes, all brought together by a rich and creamy coconut milk base. It's the ultimate comfort dish and a highlight of their menu. The ambiance is casual and chill, with tasteful Asian decor that adds to the dining experience. The friendly and attentive waitstaff make you feel right at home, rounding out the meal beautifully. If you're looking for traditional Thai dishes served with heart and flavor, this restaurant is a must-visit. I'll keep coming back for more!

Let me preface this by saying everything on this menu is delicious. The one food that stood out to me here (not pictured) is the chicken Parmesan. Olive Garden could never ...... this one supersedes it! I asked for the chicken parm to have a littleSpice and they did a perfect job at doing this for me. This is another little hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center off bandera but totally worth the stop. Both times I have receive phenomenal service. Yelpers be sure to check in here!

We ate at Fredricks in San Antonio tonight, a French restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waiter's name was Brett. The ambiance was nice--a dimly lit room with tables full of respectful, well dressed people. The food can only be described as just "okay,"and certainly not worth the crazy prices. A note: we don't mind crazy prices for crazy good food. This was not that. One of the main reasons I love French food is the seared fois gras. I was thrilled to see it on their menu (but not surprised given this is a French restaurant ). I ordered it. After the amuse bouche the waiter advised me that they were out of fois gras and offered the fried spring rolls instead. Fried spring rolls as a substitute for fois gras? Whatever. A French restaurant that is out of fois gras is like McDonald's running out of fries. Major disappointment. Next came the salad. We ordered one to split that seemed like perfection. Walnut with blue cheese and red onion. What we got was good, but not what we ordered. We got a Ceasar salad with chopped walnuts. No blue cheese that we noticed--it seemed like to us like it was covered in canned parmigiana. No red onion except for one tiny piece on my spouse's. It was okay. The streak au poivre (pepper steak) was regular steak with some funky tasting pepper sauce. We both thought that the sauce tasted musty or moldy--not right. The flavor was not good in our view. The gran mariner soufflé came out and looked burnt to the point of being black on the top, and the soufflé had fallen. I thought maybe it was chocolate, but the inside color was light. We sent it back and immediately ordered the cream brûlée. It came out --the top was not crispy at all. It was a flan, with a good raspberry sauce, but not crème brûlée. A bummer. These are all basic French dishes. Nothing that should stump the band. We have ordered and enjoyed these same dishes many, many times at other French restaurants. We have cooked each of these dishes ourselves many, many times. You might ask: what do you expect in San Antonio? For a total bill for 2 people over $300, we expected much, much better. In fact, we have had many great meals in SA--for example, Paesanos' oso bucco is fantastic and is just down the street. I doubt we will be back to Fredricks.

"We had a really nice dinner at Gruene River Grill. Dining out on the patio with beautiful hill country weather provided a nice dining out experience in New Braunfels. The Jalapeño Crawfish Chowder was the best appetizer I have had in a while. The Country Fried Chicken was delicious. Great meal & nice patio dining. They were out of all the dark beer they listed on their current menu. Hopefully they restock soon or modify their offerings. The service was fantastic from being seated quickly, ordering and receiving our meal. Definitely coming back while the weather is perfect for outdoor patio dining in Texas."
"We decided to stop at Elsewhere Garden Bar & Kitchen as it was on the way back to our hotel from the Pearl area and looked like a fun little stop. The decorations are very fun and colorful and really draw you in. As we had a big breakfast and had dinner plans, we decided to split the grilled chimichurri chicken sandwich and then each have a drink (a margarita for me). There are two separate lines for food and drink orders so we decided to start at the food line. The line went quickly and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly! We then ordered our drinks and realized they also had games so we checked out a little card game to play. The drinks were ready first and we just picked those up at the window. For a plain margarita with just a salt rim, I thought it was an odd color and that it also tasted a bit weird but luckily it wasn't a bad weird. The sandwich and fries it came with were delicious (it's easy to get sauces and silverware at the self serve area). All in all, this was a fun experience and we were really glad we stopped in."
"Great "neighborhood" place for a glass of wine. Wine flights are also offered and the pours are generous. We went on a Friday night and they had live music that was very good."
"Great little hang out spot with friends or a romantic date. Relax and eat all the yummy food selections. You will definitely make this a regular place."
"Where do I start? Hear me out, al pastor pizza! Yep, it sounds totally odd! But it's beyond delicious, they have a brick oven and the pizza comes out perfect (non-pictured, a margarita pizza also perfect); we ordered the Baked Brie and it was just as I like it, crusty, meaty, goey. And special mention to the Tequila Old-Fashioned! (And non-pictured, a delicious flan!)Eric, Unsure if he is the owner/chef or Bartender in chief, but he said he made the menu (again unsure if the whole menu or the drink menu, I should've asked... my bad), obviously great at recommending drinks!Carlos, welcomed us at the door (you have to wait for them to open and let you in, it makes it feel very exclusive).Lilly, beyond amazing her service is impeccable and was always checking on us (well, all 3 to be honest) she deserves a raise! :)I travel a lot for work and I only review places that I really love, this is one of them, it really made an impression, it's not touristy, feels very exclusive, delicious and has great service.Definitely coming back on my next San Antonio trip!"
"Really great food! We ordered the CFC Biscuit Benedict and the food was amazing. 10/10. Our server Dakota was awesome, we loved the service. We liked how quite the place was even though it was pretty packed."
"Came to San Antonio for the weekend and both of my sisters have previously come to Dough when they visited. It's all they still talk about if you mention San Antonio at all.We came for lunch and were immediately seated. The entire staff was super sweet and our waitress, Lily went above and beyond with everything. The inside was super cute and smelled amazing. We shared the cupped pepperoni pizza and got two small salads to start. The salads were delicious and the pizza was soft, gooey and had so many toppings! I can totally see why my sisters have never stopped talking about this place :)"
"Went for lunch on a weekday, staff was friendly and service was great. Extremely clean and the interior remodel looks amazing. I had the chicken fried steak and it was perfectly cooked. I'm very happy this place opened and it's so close to home, I will definitely be back for happy hour after seeing the specials."
"My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Silo Prime. We had not been there in a while and will definitely return soon. The food was good and varied (we loved having French fries as an appetizer in a fine dining restaurant). The beet salad was fresh, although the deconstructed presentation was a bit surprising. The salmon and shrimp were excellent, as was the service. The room is nice, with a modern ambiance. The only criticism I have is that this level of dining should include tablecloths, or at least some finer table details. Finally, the nightly piano player/vocalist makes this a dining experience unlike most in the city. Douglas Bennett is a wonderful refinement to a fine dining venue."
"Few people studying. A few people enjoying the Sunday morning together. This place is a hidden gem inside an old warehouse. They serve beer as well if you're puro SA and want a balanced breakfast. Cinnamon roll is worth a mention!!!"
"My friend Miranda invited me out to lunch. She asked me what we should so naturally, I Yelped places. Pam's came up as a perfect lunch spot located between both our areas. I sent you the link and she said let's do it. When I arrived in our scorching hot weather it was nice to walk into a cool place. We ere created by the host and seated promptly. The place had a nice, clean, cozy feeling. They had a plenty of options that meet my needs. I ordered the veggie club special with water since it was hot. My husband ordered the bean and cheese chalupa with an unsweetened tea. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich. Our food was delicious!! The salsa was the best I have ever had! It had such a spicy kick that I craved more. Let's say it cleared out my sinuses. Everything looked and tasted great! When I saw fruit with my meal I was expecting a small mix of assorted fruit. You know mango, grapes, strawberries. They gave me a small slice of an orange. I also had a dill pickle spear which was nice.Overall, I would definitely recommend. The ingredients are fresh and the quality definitely matches the price. My husbands chalupa looked good so next time I want that. If you're in the area give this place a try. It's a nice place to cool off and have a nice meal that doesn't leave you bloated."
"I highly recommend this Italian restaurant. We've lived here 1.5 years and have been looking for good Italian food. We come from the North where Italian food is amazing, cheap, ethnic, and made with love. This restaurant doesn't disappoint. We had risotto balls for an appetizer. It didn't come with marinara sauce, which I would recommend. I had the cheese wheel which was amazing! The dessert menu is decent, but they didn't have Cannoli's. They had gelato, tiramisu, a brownie as a special. I would describe this as northern Italian cuisine. They didn't have Italian wedding soup, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, sachatini (spelling?), stuffed shells, etc."
"I've lived in San Antonio for 2 years and had no idea this gem existed until I saw an ad pop up on instagram yesterday. Wow! Just wow. This place is a whole vibe. Immediately felt my shoulders relax with the calm minimalistic aesthetic and chill soundtrack. No way could this place feel amazing AND offer legit espresso drinks, right? Wrong. My iced oat milk latte was so smooth and perfectly balanced sweetness. My husband's cortado was *chef's kiss.*Pastries were so delish that we got some to go.This place isn't close to my house, but I don't care. I'll be back.Thank you Oak & Saint!"
"Delish. Try the tiramisu and a Pinot noir. Freelander hit the spot.Definitely we will back."
"This place was decent, but the atmosphere was better than the food. I'd suggest coming here for drinks and hanging out in the Biergarten rather than the food. Service was good, nothing crazy. My husband got the Chopped Con, and it sounded good but it felt like we got conned after getting it. It basically looked like a bun-less burger lol. I had the fire roasted chicken that was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again. And the Caesar salad was tasty with the cheesy bits on top. I think we were just kinda underwhelming when it came to the flavor. The place from the outside looks like it offers a lot more than what it has on the menu."
"Actually bistro sized bistro with great food and service. Cozy feeling but not over crowded. The mussels were tip top and they had Trappist ale availablein quantity and variety. The steak frites were also fantastic. Great bread. Recommend"
"Super cute little place, coffee, wine and beer and charcuterie boards! All my favorites in one place. The caramel breve is delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cute too. Definitely recommend you swing in and visit, hang out!"
"If you are catching a show at the Tobin this is a great place to grab dinner and walk over. There is also a garage attached to this facility. Parking is $15.It wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. I forgot our waitress name however she had a name tag that said Mouse/Maus on it. She was great!!They do offer a lot of paring options for the meals. I captured a few photos. We did appetizers and dessert. She did say they do different flavors with their cream brûlée so we didn't try it. The bread board and calamari was great!!! I'd definitely go back just for the bread! They do put a lot of peppers in the calamari.I wasn't expecting a chocolate cheesecake even though she said it was chocolate. I was assuming it was drizzled in chocolate. Cheesecake was good though. They did have a full bar as well as a coffee machine to lattes and such. Seating was decent. There are tables and booths. I'd call ahead and check closing times also as on here it says they call at 11 however they waitress told us they were closing at 10 that night."
"Few, truly pet friendly spots in SA. This is one one of them. Extra plus with a friendly staff, positive, laid back vibe. New fave!"
"Beautiful is an understatement!! Everyone here is amazingly friendly and welcoming. The drinks are uniquely incredible and so tasteful! The ambiance is definitely upscale from most places. I cannot wait to make this my hangout!"
"Amazing and eclectic wine bar!! This is one of our favorite places to relax, especially for a "Sunday Funday"! There is indoor and outdoor seating, a great selection of wines that are predominantly European. If you are a fan of US wines, they have a couple as well. The decor is unique, especially the facade which is alone worth the visit. Wines are reasonably priced they have a nice selection of light bites, including cheese, very fresh warm sourdough bread and olives just to name a couple of our "go to's". On select days, the airstream trailer parked outside serves up oysters and other seafood varieties. It is a perfect place to hang with friends, especially outside during the fall months."
"I have been thinking of this restaurant for a while - we finally had time and a reason to drive across town to enjoy my Birthday! When we checked in they didn't have our reservation - I thought this would throw the whole night off, but the hostess made it happen and seated us right away. Our server Dan was awesome - perfect suggestions (we took them all) timing and attention. I am picky, I worked in the restaurant and bar industry for 15years and know what great food should be. Explaining everything from the history of the location and the awesome wood burning pizza ovens imported from Italy! The atmosphere was very Italian - I lived there for a few years. The tables are very close but that helps keep the conversation intimate and personal. I would dine here again - must try the pizza next time"
"My girlfriend found this place and saw that it had good reviews, so we decided to try it out. Once we arrived parking was a bit difficult to find (especially on a Wednesday), since it's in a small area. Once we arrived we were greeted and quickly seated. The atmosphere was nice and had a romantic bar vibe.Once seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer (the artichoke dip) and also ordered our main courses. I ordered the Breaded Chicken and my girlfriend ordered the Basil Chicken. Both came with soup or salad, which we both ordered the soup. One chicken tortilla soup and one soup of the day. Shortly after our waitress brought us rolls w/ butter which were nice, delicious, and warm.Later our appetizer arrived, which had a nice presentation but did not have any flavor at all. It was bland and the pita chips had to be eaten with it since they had saltiness to add with it. Once we received our main courses, we were excited (since the plates looked great). But after eating the food we both were disappointed. The pasta with the Breaded Chicken was very bland and the crust was sliding off the chicken. It was very difficult to eat. As for the Basil chicken plate, the kale was not tasty at all. It had a salty kick and then a bitter aftertaste. We had told our waitress and once she spoke to the manager she provided a 10% discount for the inconvenience.I'm sorry, but I give this place 3 stars. We left disappointed, and even with the discount it was still overpriced for the taste of the food."
