Darla G. "I was traveling through San Antonio yesterday and happened upon this Vietnamese restaurant. There was only one man working the restaurant, but there were quite a few customers.I worried that I wouldn't be able to get good service because there was only the one man. However, I was greeted quickly and received my food promptly, steaming hot and delicious. I never had a want for anything. This man seemed to handle the entire restaurant all by himself, and everyone around me seemed very happy and content. The food was very delicious. I even got a little dessert, which I have no idea what it was. It was fairly decent. It was a blessed surprise, as he didn't even charge me for it. They have a rather large menu so I would've been a bit overwhelmed, had I not gone in there specifically for pho. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

Every time I go in they are quick and attentive. Everyone there is so kind and always make me feel so welcome. I always get the number 3 on the pho and the broth is outstanding. It has so much flavor. I highly recommend this place to anyone & everyone. Anyone I have ever taken here has lived this place."

Extra can be purchased. The only downside is adding that sauce will make the noodles slippery and take you longer to get it into your mouth!!!"

Kerrie M. "I'm new to the area & had finished my morning appointments, & started out looking for A) coffee, & B) something new. This place came up I guess because they do serve coffee, but this was not the original search intent. That being said, I am glad we stopped! The server was so helpful! We ordered, and based on the small conversation happening, she made suggestions which turned out really well! I had the grilled beef sandwich, & a matcha milk tea. The milk tea was very good; flavorful & not too sweet! The grilled beef sandwich was delicious! It had a bit of heat, but it was not spicy. I love spicy, so that would not be an issue, but this just wasn't. It was so tasty & the meat was cooked perfectly. My lunch & tea were delicious, service was awesome & friendly, & the meal in total was not expensive! Will absolutely be back to try other new things on the menu!"

Jacqueline J. "On Friday evening, my boyfriend suggested Vietnamese for dinner. While he wanted Pho, I saw some photos of tasty vermicelli bowls that looked like they would hit the spot. After searching online, Heavenly Pho popped up in our search so we made our way slowly to the restaurant during rush hour traffic. The restaurant was decorated beautiful inside and we were greeted immediately upon entry and seated by our waiter. While our waiter took our drink orders, we browsed the menu and I decided to dine on the Vermicelli Chicken bowl that included an eggroll and shrimp, while my boyfriend selected the Pho special and an order of Crispy Calamari. Our waiter came out often to check on us and even warmed my noodles at my request for my Vermicelli bowl. While i understand we are dealing with inflation, I wasn't pleased to count 5 pieces of chicken and see 2 pieces of shrimp heaped on a bowl of noodles and bean sprouts. After viewing other restaurants and seeing what was in placed in front of me, I started to doubt our choice to dine here. I for one love eating at home and my boyfriend loves eating out, but if you are going to raise prices to around $14 a bowl, 1/3 cup of meat should at least be the standard to serve to your guest. I also wasn't pleased with the poorly cleaned shrimp with the dirt line that glowed on the plate in front of me. I felt a bit slighted as he dined on his Pho so I ended up tasting his selection, which was seasoned to perfection. He also ordered a Banh Mi to go and we paid our tab.For nearly $64 with a tip, I do believe I could have found a meal that I felt was worth the trip and cost elsewhere. When I eat out, I like to find restaurants that have ingredients that I normally don't cook with so that I feel like it was worth the trip, labor and cost. My meal, I feel I definitely could have prepared off of a YouTube tutorial and enjoyed more at home. I felt like they tried to disguise the protein under the vegetables to make you think you were getting more than you were (sigh).I did post a photo of what I expected vs what I received and will continue looking around San Antonio for other selections."

Gone were the ginger, cinnamon and earthy tones that made the broth previously something I'd travel across town for.I also got the summer rolls with beef. Filler with nothing but inedible gristle. They should really just not be serving food ATP. The service was also terrible. Used to be a great place 3-4 years ago, not sure what happened but won't be back. Paid $30 for inedible food. Rudy F. "Stopped into this area Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant for lunch with a group of work colleagues. I was the only one in the group who had a Vietnamese dish, though, and I ordered the beef vermicelli bowl along with an order of fresh Summer rolls (shrimp and pork) with peanut sauce. Both were done well and tasted fine. The Summer rolls were a bit heavy on the leaves and didn't have as many sprouts as I like. Also, the peanut sauce was a little thinner than I like as well. Food: C+The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and there were plenty of tables available, even on a Friday at noon. Ambiance: BThe service was not over-friendly, but very good and attentive. We were in and out of the restaurant in just under an hour. Service: BThe value for the meal was about average for this type of meal, running just under $20 for both items. Value: B-Overall, it was a nice experience with a group of work friends, although it probably still isn't my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town."

Starting with drinks there is a wide variety of favorites to choose from and some items you don't typically see at a Vietnamese restaurant, but they seem to have a lot of food and drink items from all of southeastern Asia! I started with the classic Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk which was a smooth little pick me up!The phō broth was out of this world so flavorful, real bone broth flavor and not just hot water poured over noodles. Heather R. "Other patrons were correct, the walls and tables could use a scrubbing and the ladies' toilet is a bit of a carnival ride.We arrived at 4pm to meet my parents and the place was maybe a third full, happy with noise. It took a while to have anyone acknowledge our arrival and then another wait to have our drink orders taken and menus brought. Another wait for food orders and that's when three of us found out they were out of bread so the banh mi selections were not going to happen and we needed a minute to recalibrate.Ma and I noticed different things about the new menus. She felt they had a better (she even called it fancy) explanation of the dishes; I noticed the menu had been Americanized in a manner one might expect for Seguin. For instance, you won't find the words bánh mì anymore, they're just listed as sandwiches. There was only one employee on the floor tending all the tables, and she was doing her best. The food's still very tasty when it does arrive, which is why I'm still OK with it despite a couple rough spots. Mr R had his usual bun (giant bowl of rice vermicelli) which looked beautiful. Both my Midwestern parents chose chicken fried rice when their chicken sandwiches were unavailable--only ma took her leftovers home but they both said it was tasty and truth is the servings were sizeable.I went rogue and chose beef skewers off the appetizer menu, and they were delicious! The skewers came nicely presented and impressively charred. The beef was sliced thin and ribboned on skewers--since I wasn't sharing with anyone I ate them right off the stick and only made a bit of a mess on my shirt. The sauce was perfect and every bite tender excepting pleasurable little crispy edges here and there. Two guys came out front for a smoke break when a lull arrived and the remaining tables (including us) had been served. I assume it was the owner who came to check on everyone and apologize for the unusual wait as they were understaffed.I snuck Mr R a fifty which paid for most of the tab at the counter. When Mr R added the remainder and said to keep the change, he said the owner handed the entire tip straight to the waitress which was nice to hear.Seguin's not a town of adventurous eating so I hope this place keeps doing what it needs to survive and the kitchen keeps serving up the good stuff. If next time it's won back a star or two, I'll be thrilled to bits."
