"I came here the other day, because I was craving a Barbacoa taco to go with my Big Red soda I had. Since it was right down the road from me I figured I would give it a try. I ordered 3 tacos, a barbacoa (of corse) the trash can taco, and then an egg and cheese taco for my girlfriend. The trash can and egg burrito were stuffed full and barely closed, so definitely a good value for the price. My girlfriend doesn't eat a lot of food when she does eat, but she was only able to finish about half of her taco. The tacos had great flavor, however the barbacoa was just so so, I've had better, but it was still good. The process of taking my order and getting me my food was fast. They had it ready before I finished putting together the to-go salsas from their salsa bar. Great little spot to hang out on their outdoor patio if I decide to come back and eat there, rather than taking it to-go."
"Everything taste so good. This is the best Al pastor I ever had !! Even their agua frescas are great !"

"Santa diabla now know and found on Yelp as salsita drinks tacos Hidden gym by far I don't know how more to explain it besides, the food is amazing. The ambience is great. The customer service is hands-down amazing as well. Location is a little bit unique to try to find and try to pull into parking a little bit limited, but definitely worth it. I would make sure that I try to find a parking space to be here again. Don't miss out this opportunity. Definitely come check it out. Tell me what you think. I would love to hear your opinion and if you don't agree with me, go ahead and reach back out to my comment disagree agree I don't really care. I just love to hear back And see you guys yelp as well."
"Taco Blvd makes some excellent traditional tacos. They are affordable, have a variety of sizes, and delicious. Located in the 1604 area, the restaurant is fairly small with about 8 - 10 tables. It is clean and sparsely decorated, and I love the pictures of various well known celebrities with Catrina face painting. Staff is friendly and efficient. I have ordered from them quite a few times, and their tacos are always well cooked and prepared. I also think their salsas are absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough, especially if looking for al pastor tacos and quesadillas."
"That's vegan? No way!Vegan Avenue is located on a tiny strip mall walk, with head in, limited parking. The space is quaint, yet spacious. There's a main dining area, an over fill dining area and a patio dining area. The staff PM staff is nice, the AM staff kinda had an attitude at first. I think she was frustrated because she was running late. She ended up being really nice!I came the night before and had such a good experience that I returned mid-day for more. Food Review: Sweet potato hash - very delicious, warm dish with diced sweet potatoes, black beans, kale, onions, peppers, quinoa and chipotle aioli. Sooooooo GoodLavender Lemonade - refreshing and delicious with a hint of lavender flavor. Ohhhh my gosh!Dragon Fruit Lemonade - sweet and yummy. 2nd Food Review:Grits - giant bowl of smooth, creamy grits with a subtle cheese flavor. No salt or anything needed. They are good.I tired it without the sweet butter first. However, that sweet butter is a game changer!Chicken Patty - What? That's not vegan! WOW! The taste is so freakin similar to animal chicken. The crust is crispy, meat is stiff, not hard. It's sooo yummy! This is my new San Antonio spot."
"What a neat place! Came here for lunch and my party of 3 was seated right away. It was my very first time coming here and it definitely felt like home! I love all the funky decor. I ordered the ground beef puffy taco plate and crispy dogs as an appetizer. The crispy dog was the best one I've had. So delicious. This place is famous for their puffy tacos, though. I liked them, but I think the oil that the tortillas was fried in was not fresh and I could taste it. I also thought the rice was a bit dry. It had good flavor, but it was so subtle, it kinda just tasted like white rice. So I'd really like to see the flavor on the rice really amped up. The salsa that is served with the chips was not spicy at all and really disappointing. Also not a lot of flavor on that either. I'd come here again and bring folks from out of town! It's an experience for sure!"
"I've been going to Garcia's since I was a teenager and it NEVER disappoints. The food is incredibly simple Mexican dishes done REALLY well. If you come in expecting anything else, you'll be disappointed, but I never am. I love the salsa! Always getting lots of chips and salsa refills. The crunchy taco plate is usually my go to, but last time I tried the Combo Plate and I think it's my new favorite. Service is pretty good, but it gets busy so just have to keep that in mind. And it's super laidback atmosphere. Very casual which I love! Plus you really can't beat the prices!!"
"Great tacos and plenty of options here , there is a lot of unique combinations and they all tasted great with a Few exceptions. I really liked the chimchuri steak and a couple of the other fan favorites. I didn't like that some tacos had rice in them , it just doesn't make sense. They also choose the tacos shell , they don't give you an option to choose the shell. This place is open late and has good tacos for reasonable prices . Service was good and foood came out quick. Seating area is not very comfortable"
"Absolutely love this place! I used to go literally once a week, butttt my pockets were suffering lolWe only go Thursday-Sunday for the Pastor (they don't have it mon-wed)Tacos are delicious, waitresses are sweet, the cooks are fast & efficient.I don't speak much Spanish but they're always accommodating!Try the horchata!!! You will not regret it.Only con is they don't have any sides - rice/beans.. that would make them the only taco place I'd visit lol."
"While always a fan of the margaritas here, today I just came for the food. I grabbed a table and ordered from the QR so we'd have a spot for the whole group. The food ordered in line arrived much quicker. Chips and blanca queso were the highlight, as usual. I love the location and atmosphere. Parking, meh. Get a ride so you can enjoy the margaritas."
"This is a great date night place if you wanted to get some good home cooked food without doing it yourself. The burger was amazing and the service was fast and friendly. Try them out and you will not be disappointed."
"Don't be fooled by the building's exterior. Walk in,stand in line, place your order and then Dine on the best BBQ in SATX.The 2 meat platter is your best deal. The chopped brisket sandwich is stuffed between 2 slices of Texas toast. The sides were just as good but my stomach was full by the time I got to them.I suggest to arrive early or after the lunch crowd. The seating area is limited but I'm not here for a good seat. This BBQ "makes you want to slap yo momma"."

The bulldog taco with brisket beans, cheddar cheese, and avocado is outstanding! I decided to swap the beans for potatoes and my wife and I absolutely loved it. She even preferred it to the original version with beans. In her opinion, you can't go wrong with the potato - it's a delicious taco.During my second visit, my bulldog taco order was mixed up, which left me feeling disappointed. However, the employee who took our order at the front desk was determined to ensure I got the correct taco and had it remade free of charge, despite my initial reluctance. When they brought out the taco the second time, it was exactly the taste I was hoping for when I first visited this restaurant. Don't hesitate to try the bulldog taco.

Friendly staff. Absolutely the best torta I've ever eaten. My husband got the tacos with the crunch. I loved the bread and bought 2 extra to take home. Chef should bottle the torta sauce. It was outstanding. Will be back.

Food was a good, the chips were a bit too hard and the second batch was soggy both batches tasted stale. The tacos were delicious, maybe a little too expensive because they were two tacos for $11 but inflation, I get it. 2/3 salsas were really good, be careful of the salsa that contains peanuts, that was weird - not really my favorite but I can at least say I tried it. Think of peanut butter and salsa had a baby...do with that what you will. Not sure if that's a regional Mexican thing or not. I've never heard of it. The drinks were good, we were there during happy hour and their margs were $5 so that was nice. Both of our specialty drinks were tasty and the pink drink pictured came in a blender with chamoy and gummies on top, that was a great way to dress up the drink. If yelp had 1/2 stars I'd give this place a 3.75 overall. The only reason I'm knocking off points is because my server did her best but we ordered drinks and it wasn't until we asked about them after we already got our food, is when so put the order in. There were literally only two other parties in the entire restaurant so not sure what the hold up was. We also had to track her down for our tickets and to ask for a few things. I'll give this place another try soon and see if my rating changes xoxo Gossip Girl

When I'm craving tortilla soup this where we go. I like to get a small chicken soup and bean and cheese taco. This Garcia's is good size and i don't think i ever had to wait longer than 20 minutes. The staff is always so kind and keep my chips and salsa full. The booth seats are my favorite it feels nice to feel secluded yet seen. I also like the back room as well. I know they don't use it all the time but sometimes it's nice to not be in a bustle and hustle

It had been so long since I went to Velvet Taco. The food was really good and I really enjoyed the combo option they have of two tacos, a side and a drink. The meal was super filling and very affordable. I loved the elote and the buffalo chicken taco was delicious! Staff was super nice too! They ran out of queso and only had curry queso and they were able to give my husband a sample to try before ordering.

"I've been coming here for a couple of years now. It's a great place to get some good food and catch up with friends. It's definitely a hole in the wall place with awesome tacos and tortas. Some of the best trumpo in town. The fries also have a delicious seasoning. It's a great spot to come back to."
"Awesome place! Definition of don't judge a book by its cover. It's a little hole in the wall place but man, it's awesome. Great prices on Barbacoa, friendly service, awesome hot sauce. Lots of regulars and very considerate staff!"
"Tacos are bomb & huge ! I have to stay away from this place or I will be eating everything from the menu !!! Never been here but I ordered the south padre, rockstar & the bill. When I say I flavor in EVERY bite omg. This place is so good I'm raving to my coworkers right now"
"The food was pretty good. I just love their taquitos here! The meat was juicy. The tortillas are good. The orange salsa is the bomb here. Service was polite and quick. And I love some the art work here. Good parking!!!"
"Came here for the first time to order 1 lbs to go and birria noodles. If you've never been here, menus are free to grab as you enter. You order at the counter for to-go or you find yourself a table and order. Lady behind the counter understands English, but not a lot to communicate back. However, it wasn't a problem as I was placing the order to go. Simple and easy. Inside the restaurant is some tables and a tv. Decorations were mostly Texas longhorns and Mexican culture. It looks family-friendly. It was empty when I went besides 1 couple eatint at a booth and watching the tv so the noise level was quiet. Waited about 10 minutes for the food.Food came out neatly packaged and piping hot. The corn tortillas were definitely hot. The birria was moist and soft, almost like melt-in-your-mouth-soft. The consume was just okay. Both did not have a lot of flavor, more on the bland side, but was satisfying with the salsa and lime juice. The birria noodles, original, was delicious. Having it to go allowed me to cook the noodles how I like it and add my own seasonings to make it even better at home. I'm Asian, in case you're wondering lols. The birria we had is on the greasy side, but that wasn't a bad thing for me. The fatty parts of the beef is what makes it melt-in-your-mouth-soft and I, for one, am not afraid of beef fats. The consume for the borria noodles had plenty of birria and broth, one was practically enough for 2 noodle bowls.Overall, do I recommend? Yes, it doesn't hurt to try it out. Would I come back? Yes, especially to try their other menu items."
"Found this on our way to the convention center. Cozy space with good tunes, amiable host, quick service, and most importantly, the food was excellent. Reasonable prices. If we're in San Antonio, we'll be back. I'd have posted a pic of my Texas breakfast but I ate it completely a before I thought about it. It was that good."
"Out of all the taquerias and Mexican restaurants in the area, this place has been my go-to spot for breakfast tacos for a while now. And I've tried every Mexican restaurant's breakfast tacos around the Churchill HS area for comparison. I love the guero and TNS tacos the most. The quality is pretty consistent. Prices are a little more than average but the it's worth it. Once in a while the tacos might be a little smaller than I like, but for the amount of times I've eaten here, it's ok. I've had smaller tacos from so many other restaurants that it's almost the norm now. The salsa bar is a huge plus so you can change up your flavors but it's a small area so it can take a little bit to get your salsas. Their service is fast and has never been issue."
"Always a treat. Great food, service and entertainment! Family and dog friendly is a huge plus. We love lounging outside sipping from their great beer selection."
"We come here at least twice a week! The evening bartenders are awesome and we love the environment. Thursday trivia is the best!!"
"When I first found them they only had one location, now I believe they have 2 or 3.Anyway this is my go to taco spot, I don't even think I can eat regular tacos without having consome to go with it haha. Some weekends the queue might be longer than other days but with the addition of other locations, the wait time have reduced greatly in my opinion.I do think the tacos are a little expensive for the amount given but it's worth it."
"Had my first pickledilly and it was amazing. The nachos came way too overloaded with cheese, which made the chips super soggy and messy."
"This is the perfect Sunday Funday place!!!! The vibe, live music, decor and staff are all FIVE STARS!!! The Happy Hour is the best around and $18 Margarita Pitchers is such an amazing price! Cute photo ops all over the bar and the outside patio is perfect for a fall sunny day. Small intimate areas to catch up with the girls or to catch the game outside on one of the many TV's!I have not been to the Drag Show on Sunday yet but I've heard that it was such a fun time so it is definitely on my list of things to do! I've been Friday evening for HH right after work hours and at around 8/9pmish the vibe definitely started to change as the live music moved out and the DJ started playing and people were definitely dressed to impress. Cute drinks that all seem handcrafted! I will definitely be returning here!"
"Food is delicious and made to perfection. Our waitress Yosune was such a great host, she always kept up with our drinks and made sure our food was to our liking. The ambiance was very uplifting, great music and staff. It was really nice of the manager checking up on us a couple of time. Highly recommend"
"I stopped into Plantaqueria while staying nearby for business. I enjoy trying vegan spots throughout my travels and seek them out. Upon entering the restaurant it was filled with something burnt. Like pretty perverse. Minus a star as it meant dining in would be unpleasant. Anyways, the employee was friendly and the menu was easy to navigate. I got the Birria, a side of charro beans and chips and guacamole. All to go. It took about 5 minutes to be prepared. During the wait I got some green and red salsa, which spoiler alert they both were quite unremarkable. I enjoy hot sauces and salsas but these were meh. No real flavor. The birria was quite good with fake meat and vegan cheese. It came with dipping sauce which I didn't find it elevated the dish. However I would get it again. The guacamole was good. The chips crisp but covered in oil. The charro beans were good. All in all I enjoyed the meal however I had higher hopes. I will try them again but likely order something else."
"Serious legit tacos. I got a 5 taco plate with fajita chicken (8/10), carne asado (9+/10) and chorizo (10/10). It was a fair amount to eat but I could t stop they were addicting little buggers. My son had the chicken quesadilla and he said he rated it 8-9/10. He devoured it. I also got a mango agua Fresca. There were little pieces of mango you would catch in sips and let you know it was real mango in there. Seriously good. This is a food truck and it is about a block away from where google has it because they moved. There is room to park on dirt and it is in front of an ice cream shop. There were several people waiting for their food and was busy but not overly so. It took about 10-15 minutes and they made it to order. I highly suggest this place if you want some great tacos."
"I have reviewed this place before and I'm going to do it again! LolIt's that good! Every taco is on point and they never forget my cheese on the taco (like most places do) The service is always quick and the space is cute and cozy! I believe they are open till 3pm so hit them up for all your yummy taco needs."
"Stayed at the hyatt hill country for the 4th and stopped for some breakfast tacos before heading back to dallas. So glad we did because these are the best breakfast tacos I've ever had in my life. Their tortillas are *chefs kiss*. All I can say is WOW and I'm sad I won't have these again for a while. Service was also quick and efficient!!! Clean place!!"
"The food was delicious. It was not texmex with just gravy smothered in everything. The plates were awesome so pretty! It was nicely kept and decorated. Truly enjoyed my green enchiladas and I do judge a place by its beans and tortillas and these were awesome. They did give us consome like Fideo as a starter and it was super flavorful even my son wanted more. I loved it and recommend."
"I was feeling lazy and didn't want to cook breakfast for my tribe so I drove down the street to get some kolaches and donuts. The selection of donuts in this place is great. Everything from large and fluffy cinnamon buns, regular donuts, bear claws, and all their sweet cousins is in the case. My son gave good ratings for the cinnamon roll. My 4 year old loved the chocolate muffin I got her. My oldest and my husband wanted kolaches. The way my husband talks about these things makes him sound like a love struck boy pining for his crush. He described them as heavenly with soft bread on the outside and beautiful spicy jalapeno sausage enveloped in cheese on the inside. He was not wrong. I had the Boudin Kolache which was I would get again. I thought it might be mushy because of the rice but let me tell you it was not. It had just the right amount of moisture to make the sausage sing but not make the bread soggy. Just lovely. I will definitely be back."
"What a nice little gem in San Antonio! We called to see if they could seat a party of 16. They said sure and were ready for us when we arrived. Our server, Juany, was pleasant and prompt with all of our orders. We made it during breakfast, so we were able to have the pancakes and some of their authentic dishes like chilaquiles, tacos, and queso. Everything was delicious and the only thing we could complain about was the steak was a little tough. Prices were extremely reasonable. Thanks for great service!"
"Tellez has been our #1 spot for tamales for a couple of years now. I believe there are two locations, but this is the only one I've been to. My hubby surprised me with breakfast tacos and menudo one morning, and I was in a heavenly bliss. They also have two different types of barbacoa, with one I wasn't thrilled about, but the other I loved. I'm sure it's a matter of preference; but I can't remember which is which. Back to the tamales...I have to warn you, in December, Tellez can get PACKED and can run out of Tamales quickly! You should check their Facebook for updates...The lines get crazy long and wrap around the large parking lot. It's unbelievable! One year ppl were starting a line the night before opening and it was freezing outside. So we get our Christmas tamales in late November, just to be sure we have some for the holiday. =)"
"A new hidden gem! Very traditional, fresh Mexican food. Tacos were amazing, super flavorful. The Maja is to die for!Service was great! Our waitress was super helpful, even giving us samples of the meats. We will definitely be back to try some margaritas next time."
"I first stumbled across Tamale Boy's tamales about 12 years ago. It was nearing closing time at a bar when in walked the one and only Tamale Boy Juan selling homemade tamales out of a cooler. My cousin was a bit tipsy and hungry so he decided to purchase a dozen of the Kadillak tamales. I'm not going to lie, I tried to convince my cousin NOT to buy food from some random person in a bar!!! I'm so glad that he didn't listen to me. I watched him as he peeled open the foil and the most incredible aroma hit me from left field. My cousin had already downed two tamales before offering me one. I'm Hispanic but I've NEVER been a fan of tamales. It turns out that I just never had really good ones before. It was love at first bite! The Kadillak tamales consist of chicken, cream cheese, spinach, and jalapenos. It's the PERFECT combination of savory and picoso (spicy)! They were so good that I actually chased after Tamale Boy as he was walking back to the parking lot. I had to find a way of contacting him to order more in the future. He handed me a business card with his info. At Christmas I brought over 4 dozen Kadillak tamales for my family to try. Everyone went crazy over them. They all wanted to know where they came from. Just like that, they quickly became a family holiday tradition! Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's aren't the same without them! Pre ordering for the holidays is a MUST! If you miss the pre order deadline then you will have to wait in a super long line with no guarantee that they won't sell out before it's your turn in line. They ALWAYS sell out!"
