"My husband and I went to Avenida Brazil for a celebratory dinner. I had been in a cervical collar for over 12 weeks after a bike crash. My neck was set free yesterday, LOL!We have seen the neighborhood restaurant but hadn't the opportunity to try out the new restaurant. What a great excuse to give a new restaurant a try.We arrived shortly after opening on a Friday so we had no trouble being seated despite not having reservations. The restaurant is fairly small but the ambience was nice. Upon entering the restaurant, you see the salad bar. It is a very small salad bar compared to other Brazilian restaurants but they offered smoked fish and Ahi tuna so that was kind of nice. In addition, there was a section with beans, rice, risotto and soup area. They brought cheesy bread and sides of plantain bananas and cheese potatoes. Additionally, servers came by with grilled asparagus and garlic bread. The service was excellent. Our server and management checked on us often. However, despite us still eating our salad and our "card" indicating if we were not ready for protein still being in red, we had a constant flow of servers stopping at our table asking if we wanted the offered meats. I'm sure it was not meant to be pressure on the diner, but we did feel rushed and had to keep turning the servers away. However, there were many different protein options including some that we had not seen at other Brazilian restaurants: Tomahawk steak, scallops, Salmon, etc. We did not sample the Salmon but the Tomahawk steak and scallops were delicious. My favorite protein is normally grilled lamb chops. None were circulating so when asked if we had any special request, I immediately asked for grilled lamb chops, medium rare. They did eventually come out but were a bit over cooked for my personal liking. Additionally, the seasoning was different from what I was accustomed to. I typically enjoy garlicky lamb chops. These lamb chops were just different. I couldn't quite pinpoint the flavoring but I will not reorder. I'm sure it was just my personal palate preferenceFor drinks, my husband ordered one of their special fruity drinks but it was a bit more tart than he was accustomed. The lime taste was a tad strong. To the management's credit, they offered to remake it but we opted to order a substitute drink instead. They really tried to make our experience enjoyable."
"It was a good experience. The service was great and the food was okay. The star of the show were the fresh dinner roles, but everything else was just okay. The ambiance is a little bit of a Time Machine warp of the 70s but it was tidy. Wouldn't know if I'd go back, but glad we tried it out. The salad wasn't too fresh and my steak was cold, but my son was enjoyed his grilled cheese."

"In all fairness, part of our party was late! BUT only 16 minutes late. Hey you deal with an active three year old. They sat us and they were very busy. BUT I personally felt like the server who was assigned to us was pushing us. Like to turn us! I hate being turned! Especially when the tab is close to a grand including the tip! Really? The offer of the buffet like starter table was impressive as always. The variety is quite large and all of it was delicious according to our whole party. They started to bring the variety of meat out and again it was fast and furious. One after another. Then again I personally felt pressured. The steaks were excellent. Sides were also quite good ie mashed potatoes, French fries and delicious hot pop over muffins. Others enjoyed fried bananas and plantains.Although the drinks were pretty pricey the people who ordered them said they were very good. Overall, I think if you have a special occasion this would be a fun place when it was not so busy."
"The food here is absolutely amazing and the service is top notch! I'm a sucker for fresh guacamole and this place gives me just that. Who knew something so simple could be so delicious! The drinks are always on point. I hate going somewhere for "drinks" and what I order comes back tasting like juice. Koodos to the bartenders! The shot flights are an absolute must to try.The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Perfect spot for a date night or small gathering with family/friends."
"I loved the vibe, the sides, and the steak at Myron's! My sister and I are in our early 20's, but we like to dress up and go to nice steakhouses, and this was one of our favorites. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The only thing was she looked at our IDs a little long and suspiciously when we ordered our drinks, which was a little uncomfortable, but I get it we are 22 & 24 and baby faced. She made up for it with great service, and split a rib eye between us (portion size was large!)The vibe just felt nice and upscale, but prices were still affordable compared to Kirby's or Bob's. and I loved my Keylime pie cocktail. Definitely would go here again!"
"Eggs BenedictClub is the best.! Been around for a long time and is very clean and fast. Also full buffet....the best fried chicken"
"Nice, fancy ambiance with a great live band when I went. Servers were attentive and friendly, but delay in taking our food order. American Wagyu was definitely melt in your mouth tender but lacked flavor. Bone marrow was pretty good but for the price would have been nice to include more bread with it. Crab cake was okay but wouldn't order again. Delicious cocktails! Overall, for a prime steakhouse I expected better Wagyu but maybe their other steaks are their specialty."
"Great food Great customer service Atmosphere was friendly and inviting Definitely recommend"
"This is an awesome experience for the kiddos! Ambience takes you back in time. The staff really keep the vibe exciting and fun! Birthday here birthday there... every where is a happy birthday song! I'd recommend for adults a burger and salad bar. There's face painting, balloons and a game room. My grandkids had a blast! Wonder which character we'll get next time???"
"My Mother wanted to come here for lunch so what Momma wants Momma gets. This is not an impressive place from the outside. The inside is much different than what I expected. It gives off a weird vibe. It seems to be trying to be an upscale steak house with a sports bar that dominates the interior. It is pretty clean. They run a perennial lunch special. From chopped sirloin to Fried Fish. We opted for the chopped sirloin that is described as a 1/2 pound. Sorry but their scale if off. It most likely is a 1/3 pound before cooking and very thin. We all asked for medium cooked. One was, the rest were well done. The medium was traded to me by the wife as it was just too pink for here. I got fries with mine, steak fries. Not so good, very dry and tasteless. Looks like they left them too long in the air fryer they certainly didn't use any oil to fry them. The small salad was ok. The ladies got a baked potato but were going to be charged an extra 2.95 to have it loaded, they both passed. The service was passable. I can't see how I could return unless Mom insists.FYI these are the same people that ran the previous steak house at this location just using a new name."
"Found this new restaurant in Bulverde Texas and it was excellent! It's where the old "Magues" used to be and it is now an Italian place. The wife and I were there at about 1 pm on a Wednesday and place was about half full. Nice and quiet for a good conversation and lunch. I had the Sausage Arrabiata (which I couldn't pronounce so I just pointed to it) and I had just enough spicy taste to be very flavorful. The wife had Chicken Parmigiana and said the sauce was definitely homemade and delicious. We had a very efficient and authentic (I believe) Italian Server who was helpful on explaining everything. Prices were normal for nowadays and we took 1/2 home for leftovers. There was also a plate of bread served before the meal that was very tasty."
"I agree with the other reviews, the homemade flour tortillas here are great! I also tried the Enchiladas Verde which had shredded chicken and it was delicious.I went here with a group of nine on a Saturday afternoon and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would come here again if I was in the area, especially if I'm looking for a place to eat with a large group. Prices are decent, service was good, ample space inside/parking, and there was something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. Two of my friends kept raving about the tilapia. I was also happy that one of my friends who tends to not like food at Mexican restaurants (esp greasy), and who is a bit particular about how food is cooked, kept talking about how good her food was. PS: I'm not sure who pays by checks anymore, but just in case, "No Checks Accepted" here."

I'm in San Antonio on a temporary assignment, and I was tasked to find a good spot for dinner with a couple of co-workers, one of whom had to depart early. Not knowing if I would ever see them in person again after this trip, I had to be selective in deciding how best to bid farewell to him, at least for the time being. We had agreed on a nice steak dinner, but left the decision up to me on where to go.I'll be honest here, I was actually looking at a couple of Brazilian steakhouses by the Riverwalk, but as luck would have it, neither had reservations available for that night. I frantically searched online to find the best spot for all three of us, and I chose The Barn Door right off the 410 loop east of the 281. One of my Yelp friends from San Antonio awarded it five stars, and there was also a Yelp check-in offer of a free tea. Also, the prices seemed pretty reasonable, especially compared to other steakhouses in the Alamo City.Reservations were available that night for time slots at 15-minute increments, but oddly enough, not at 7 PM, our agreed upon time. We then agreed 6:45 PM was a good time for dinner, and so I made the reservation, which was done through SpotOn.Two of us arrived at 6:30 PM, and the hostess was willing to seat us even though the third person (not me lol) was a little late. We chose to wait, and then once he arrived, we were taken to our table in the Main Dining room.We were sat at a table between the open kitchen and a wall, which almost looked like a jail. Jewel (sp?) came by to introduce herself as our server. She was just that, a jewel! She did seem a little bashful since it was kind of hard to hear her, but it was only moderately loud at best during our visit, so it wasn't much hard of hearing here. Other than that, I enjoyed having her take good care of us!She started us off with drinks, and that's when I realized I had to check in to show her my Yelp check-in offer. She didn't recognize it at first, and then I had to tell her. I almost thought she was going to charge me for the tea, but luckily she didn't.Each of us chose an appetizer to share with one another. The others chose Fried Mushrooms and Fried Jalapenos. I chose the Wild Boar and Venison Sausages. Each of them came with their own sauce(s), and they were all good! It's worth mentioning there are nuances in the taste profile between Wild Boar and Venison, but they look so similar that even Jewel couldn't tell which was which. Did we care? No. Did we enjoy them? Yes!The others chose the Club Sirloin and Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin Filet as their entrees, both cooked Medium. I went with the 10 oz New York Strip, cooked Medium Well. I think my steak was a little undercooked, but I liked it better than the Ribeye I had at my hotel, which cost more than twice as much!As we were ordering, I didn't realize our entrees would come with a house or Caesar salad as well as a potato side. I had completely overlooked the bottom of the menu specifying that. There weren't that many choices for the potato side. One co-worker chose the mashed potatoes. The other chose the twice baked potato. I went with the (once) baked potato. Jewel asked if I'd like for it to be loaded, to which I answered affirmatively. For the salad, you get a choice of 5-6 dressings. I almost went with my go to, Honey Mustard, until Jewel mentioned there was Creamy Garlic, which sounded delish. And it was! The amount of dressing was pretty generous, and it was a generously-sized salad, much larger than a side salad!I enjoyed the (once) baked potato, which was loaded, but not fully loaded compared to the twice baked. The twice baked had more cheese, and I believe it also had jalapenos, which I didn't taste in my potato. However, there's a small upcharge for the twice baked; I don't recall how much of an upcharge it was.Everything was superb! There wasn't a bad bite that was had amongst the three of us. We had quite a bit of leftovers, and Jewel offered us takeout boxes and bags for each of us.We all enjoyed our meals, and both of my co-workers agreed I made a good choice for dinner that night. None of us had room for dessert, but I didn't want any anyways. Plus, the prices for the desserts weren't even shown on the menu, which I'm not sure why? A Southern Peach Cobbler would have hit the spot, but our appetites were more than satiated on this wonderful evening. In addition to the actual restaurant, there's a meat market as alluded to in the business name, but it was slim pickings at the time we went, at least for the display case out in front. Same with the desserts. We only saw a couple of pies and a cheesecake when we left. The interior decor is really nice! We appreciated how nicely decorated the interior was, and we were even in awe at a portrait of the restaurant from 1953!Thank you Barn Door for a wonderful dinner, and thank you Jewel for the wonderful service and hospitality! Keep up the great work Jewel! :)

Service here is TOP NOTCH! Regardless how busy they are, you never feel unnoticed. They work hard here and I appreciate that. Meats are always bomb, that bottom sirloin does something to me. It should be a crime how delicious it is. Not really a pork lover, but if you're into that this location serves pork ribs and lots of bacon wrapped options. Their caipirinhas are good, but not better than my favorite spot in Houston. Hard to beat Tourao's caipirinhas. That doesn't take away from how delicious everything else is. I often crave their Caesar salad, love their caramelized bananas and the cheesy bread. Chama always buss, BUT the highlight of this location is the staff, service and enviroment.

Came here for brunch but ended up ordering off the main menu ( starts at 11am). The bar does not open until 11am so that was perfect. Per ordered the beef short ribs and asked for tortillas. The drinks were the Estanzuel (green drink), and the Bustamante (red drink). Both were amazing. The service was top notch. The ambiance was perfect for early lunch with mid to dim lighting. Peaceful music overhead. The patron population was mixed with young and seasoned. I recommend.

*reservations were made prior to arrival* Upon arrival my boyfriend and I were afraid we were over dressed due to the restaurant being in the middle of a shopping center. However, once we made our way into the building, we knew we had chosen the right spot for this occasion. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our tables. The tables were set, and ready to be used. The lighting of the entire room set the mood for what you aim to be a calm and lovely dinner either with family, friends or a partner.Almost immediately after being sat, one waiter came to serve bread, butter and water and another waiter came to take our drink/appetizer orders, soon after. I got the razz lemon martini & my boyfriend got one of the whiskey items. And for our appetizers we got the house salad with Caesar dressing. Following, our main course came out. I got "The Bird" 2 perfectly roasted chicken breasts with a side of creamed spinach. My boyfriend got the 16 oz filet with a side of mashed potatoes, that we shared. After our courses, we boxed up what was left over and put was brought a chocolate cake for me! (It was my birthday) Our meals and experience over all couldn't have been better for our first time dining at Myron's Prime Steakhouse. Absolutely exquisite.

We had breakfast, it was awesome! Everything was good. Service was great. We got there right at 11:00 which is the switch out time for the buffet from breakfast to lunch. We ordered from the menu but the buffet looked awesome! We will be back.

For dinner tonight, we decided impromptu to visit @bluprimesteakhouse. The seating style reminded me of Dean's Steak and Seafood. Low lights for some romantic ambiance but the music felt like more upbeat and loud.Bailey and Valeria were the duo that took care of us from start to finish, anticipating what we needed. The complimentary focaccia bread was yummy. Happy hour was ongoing and ended at 6:30pm. We enjoy some happy hour food and drinks. I had the Maya Spritz, which was mango-papaya infused aperol, soda, and rose. Hubby had the Rye and Regal, which was cinnamon apple infused bourbon, old overholt rye, citrus, honey, and amaro nonino. Dad had Lemonade. All of the drinks were very good. We started with the Crudo, Wagyu Carpaccio, Steak Tartare, and Ceviche and probably should have stopped there because it was so much food. We added the House Salad, Blu Burger, and the Truffle Pasta with Jumbo Prawns. The food was stellar but the service was impeccable. Just as we were finishing the bread, Bailey and Valeria were ready with more for us. We finished the yucca chips, they had more for the ceviche. We'll definitely be back for happy hour but will know how to pace ourselves next time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The food was excellent and fresh and flavorful. I was very impressed with the quality and the portions. I ordered at a kiosk in the restaurant and went to run a quick errand. I returned 15 min later and picked up my order. Service was great even for take out. I will definitely eat in next time. The hibachi grill and chef were center stage and fun to watch. Great price! What a value!!! This is now my new favorite place to eat!

"Came here on a whim because the surrounding restaurants were already closed and I was pleasantly surprised. From first appearances, it seems like this might just be bar food and not have great quality but it was actually pretty darn good! It's worth the stop to eat here if you're looking for some good basic foods We were on the Riverwalk and it was about 10pm and all the surrounding restaurants were closing. We thought we would try this place. Walking in, it seemed that maybe it wasn't a great choice but we thought we tried anyways. The interior of the restaurants/bar seem like it hadn't been updated since probably the late '80s and I was starting to think it was just going to be bar food. Bar food meaning greasy fried whatever goes in your gut when you're having drinks. We were greeted by staff and looking over the menu they actually had your basic variety of foods other than just deep fried. They had hamburgers and Mexican food and other things as well. I ended up ordering a burger which was really good and not too greasy. All the vegetables were fresh and also the fries were really good! Others ordered the enchiladas which actually was of really good quality without being too salty. Overall, two thumbs up and we really enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the food and the service! The interior decorating could use some updating as you can even still see a area where a DJ played from a wall of cds. But overall, the quality of the food and the service was great and I would eat here again."
"First, let me start off by saying the place looked and smelled clean. No longer was it the dirty smelling, sticky floored place of my childhood. Big plus. Not so much of a plus, the lighting situation. But let me get to the food. Service, was great. Our waitress was sweet, quick, checked on us often. Loved the service. But let me tell you what I didn't love. The food. Least favorite, the baked potato. It's a potato wrapped in foil, tossed in an oven I assume and brought to table in said foil. Poke a few holes, season the outside..do something more with it! It was a depressing bite. The chicken fried steak was bland and an incredibly small portion for the price. Looked like a frozen piece of meat that was heated and served with goopy thick gravy that may have been sitting out for a bit (mind you we were there about noon). Also, can the restaurant explain their chicken tender policy? A kids meal is 8 bucks and comes with a single tender. So I figured, you know let me order the adult tender meal for my 2 Littles to split...it's literally $17 for 2 tenders and a handful of fries!? What? Also why are the fries seasoned better than the chicken or chicken fried steak??The steak and shrimp, incredibly pricey but not as flavorful as other steakhouses. The shrimp were cooked well but again, no seasoning. I will say the tartar sauce was delicious. I'm also glad the green goddess salad dressing recipe is the same from my childhood. The salad though...mostly the overly crunchy thick white cuts from the lettuce. No actual leafiness. It also leaves a lot of water in the salad bowl, which wasnt very appetizing. Overall, it felt like a nostalgic visit that left me questioning my childhood memories. I remember visiting this restaurant with family for every special occasion but now, I don't think I could ever return."
"Came here on several recommendations from a few of my coworkers. My daughter and I took a day trip to Castroville and I was asking my coworkers where a good place to eat. They all said drive down a little more ways to Hondo and eat at Hermann Sons. I'm so glad I listened. Friendly servers, food was delicious. I got the pepper steak with cheese (medium heat)and onion rings. The medium heat was perfect. My daughter got the hamburger and fries, which she enjoyed. The place seems steady with customers too. We got here around 1 and had a small wait. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else along with dessert."
"Soft opening today and everyone was very friendly and the food was fabulous! We had an assortment of sushi rolls, bento box and tempura shrimp and vegetables. It was all very well presented and had a great flavor. Super happy that they are finally open and close to our neighborhood! Clean restaurant and an actual sushi bar for those that like to sit by the chef. Definitely worth it!!"
"My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at Silo Prime. We had not been there in a while and will definitely return soon. The food was good and varied (we loved having French fries as an appetizer in a fine dining restaurant). The beet salad was fresh, although the deconstructed presentation was a bit surprising. The salmon and shrimp were excellent, as was the service. The room is nice, with a modern ambiance. The only criticism I have is that this level of dining should include tablecloths, or at least some finer table details. Finally, the nightly piano player/vocalist makes this a dining experience unlike most in the city. Douglas Bennett is a wonderful refinement to a fine dining venue."
"To be honest, this was our second choice for a hibachi grill because the first one we wanted to try could not accommodate us for dinner. My grandson wanted to celebrate his birthday with a hibachi dinner so we found our way here. Most hibachi grills I've been to require a reservation, so we called before heading over and they said they could accommodate a party of 10, but no reservations because it's first come first served. Luckily by the time we got there 20mins later they had a table for us. In fact, the restaurant was quite empty, this was about 530p on a Tuesday night. It was almost like we had a private dining. Menu was standard and pricing was reasonable. There's also a sushi menu which is more than enough if you order a hibachi meal. I ordered the ribeye and shrimp combo, grandkids mustve had a kids meal, not sure but theirs consisted of just the rice and steak. On the side was a miso soup for all and a salad for the adult entrees.Chef was professional and talented. Kids really enjoyed the show and fire. Honestly almost don't want to see how.much butter, oil and soy sauce goes into the cooking but the food sure tastes good. I wouldve preferred less soy sauce for sure, just gotta drinks lots of water next day! Steak, scallop and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Sushi roll that we ordered was also fresh and tasty. Grandson enjoyed his birthday and I'm sure we'll be back again."
"Had lunch there today at the bar with two old friends, and we had a wonderful time! Bartender/server Amy was simply phenomenal, professional and so personable. The Mahi Mahi lunch special was cooked to perfection, and the ambiance of the whole restaurant was festive. They are doing things right at the Palm in San Antonio!"
"Really only came here tonight to see if the vibe was good and try out a new spot, and I was not disappointed! Chill little bar outside where there's live music (Saturday @9pm) and a lot of space to drink and relax! Service was really good and our drinks were ready really fast! We didn't order any food, but when we saw some pass by it all looked great! The cover band that was playing was not the best, but really good, and gave the crowd a good time with classics to sing along to! Definitely recommend if you want to have a nice time out in Boerne!"
"Came here several nights in a row while I was in town for business. Absolutely loved the outside swings and patio. Such a great vibe. We took advantage of the "secret" drink menu and I think our group must have tried almost all of them over our week long trip. They were delicious and creative and served with flair! Can't wait to come back and maybe actually try some food next time!"
"I wasn't too sure what to expect. I just heard that it's a pretty good steakhouse. Well I must say it's better than that. It's absolutely amazing. The ambience is just captivating you with elegant style and a way that takes you to a whole Nother world of happiness not only do you feel like you just walked in and are the most important person in that whole restaurant but you also feel like you have a sense of Common collectedness. It's so peaceful but yet so amazing just the way the customer service is just the way that you overall can be captivated by not only the the way the place looks, the smells the everything about this place. Started off my night by grabbing a drink at the bar The bartender is not only were intelligent, kind considerate caring definitely were great about making suggestions recommendations and going over what they were gonna put in your drink if you had any questions, I mean these bartenders were top-notch bartenders not only that, but they did it with a smile. They had so many customers at the bar and they didn't lose the sense of happiness and kindness. They really made you feel like your order was the most important order kept great conversation with all of their customers at the bar, not to mention, we very interested in after you tasted the drink if it was something that you enjoyed or if it was something that you would like to change about it. Now, when it comes to the food, oh my goodness it was to die for amazing. I had the absolute honor trying the ribeye and I would not have changed that suggestion of order in anyway at all. It was so delicious well cooked great flavor amazing flavor, even in the marbleized part of the steak it was one of those steaks that you can honestly just eat without even having to add anything to it not even a dash of salt or pepper. I mean it was the epitome of profession on a plate. I did also have the salad and a soup amazing hands-down delicious Everybody was flavorful and just really took you to the next level of happiness. Their sides were WOW!!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you've never thought about going take the time and go it's worth it. It definitely makes you realize what amazing steak house is supposed to be all about. But don't take my word for it. Please come check it out to help me what you think. Give me your review. Drop your comments and tell me what you think."
"First of all, the location is amazing. The restaurant is part of an old building which is now an inn. It was a stagecoach stop back in the old days. So, its worth a visit. The restaurant itself is bigger than the front area. As for the food, its good - not exceptional. My wife's entree was salty and could barely eat it. My dinner was their special of the night - redfish. It was beautifully done and delicious. While we're aware that this restaurant is mostly a steak place, we wanted to try their other entrees. They succeeded halfway. The service on the other hand was outstanding. Our server was attentive, informative, and efficient. He was great!Overall, for the price point of $75 per person (including a glass of wine, soups and gratuity) their salty chicken entree should have been avoided. It tasted like they brined the chicken but forgot to wash the salt off. Will we go back there again? Time will tell."
"What an amazing treat for our getaway! Monstrous Chicken Fried Steak w/sidesDelicious Chicken Fried Chicken w/sidesGreat food, great service"
"We went to the wine bar attached - called A Perfect Day. Niles was the best host and all around great advocate! We had some great French wine and amazing buffalo wings that were done in a delicious Asian sauce!! Would definitely go back to A Perfect Day!"
"This is the experience we had with Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse on 2318 N Loop 1604. This is an overdue review since we have visited this place a few times. Though there was a glitch on our online reservation where I got text reminders of our reservation, the hostess was not able to locate our reservation (should definitely fix that as it can be frustrating), we have another amazing experience after they seated us promptly. Located right next to the N Loop 1604 W, it is located in the plaza right next to the Heritage Oaks Office Park and Stewart Title Company. Not too difficult to find. We're always able to find parking at their large outdoor parking lot. We were celebrating our mother's 75th birthday and our uncle's 50th year wedding anniversary. We were well served by Jorge and Carlos Torres. They were extremely attentive, friendly and recognized our special celebration event. The food was amazing; picanha, filet, prime rib, beef ribs, shrimp were excellently prepared and warm. The salad bar had great variety. The Carajillo performance was amazing! Because of the great service by Jorge & Carlos Torres, as well as the great food, we will definitely come back again. Keep up the good work Galpao Gaucho, Jorge and Carlos!"
"Snow island is a hole in the wall soul food restaurant that live up to any expectations for the quality of food they prepare! I went there cause I was craving some southern comfort food and it was close to my house. I was skeptical at first because building, but looks are very deceiving and boy was I surprised. I ordered a two meat plate of fish and meat loaf with baked Mac and cheeseCabbage Dirty rice Collard greens The food was amazingly fresh and piping hot The meatloaf was so good I devoured it ignoring the sides!!The cabbage was delicious and Mac and cheeses melted in my mouth eliminating the craving I was experiencing. The dirty rice was okay I wanted more flavor to compete with the other side and the collard greens was snapping. My fish was so hot that after I eat all my food it was still hot enough to enjoy and crispy and NOT soggy like some people food get from being covered to long!I watch the game and the staff I mean family there working was so polite and respectful I forgot I was on the East Side of San Antonio!I loved the food better the Tony G's only because of there flavors and seasonings were on point and to my liking as a Black Puerto Rican you gotta have flavor if you want us to like your food and Tony G's oxtails was to greasy and not like the oxtails we eat at home, but Tony G's is still a good place to eat in my opinion but snow island is slightly better and more flavorful! In short snow island was jamming or how my daughter put it they was smacking and snapping! umm umm good!"
"Friday lunch was perfect for me and my girlfriends. Our waitress was super sweet and wish I knew her name. They had great lunch specials."
"This place is a gem! Great food!! Someone is working on their gourmet degree!!! The outlaw shrimp was killer, I was afraid I would not like the creamy sauce but it was great!! Space was a bit cramped but not bad."
"Well when in TX its OK to go to the Texas Roadhouse as it is one of my favorite restaurants!! I was on a girls trip in San Antonio with 3 of my Travcon friends & Ashley had a friend who we had plans to meet up here & have dinner with her. First, I must say our waitress was the BOMB!! Haley was her name & she was AWESOME & fun!! Super friendly with a great personality. She definitely loves working here & enjoys her job. We came in on 05/20/2024 around 8pm. I usually get the filet when I'm @ a Texas Roadhouse but went with the chicken critter dinner instead. It was very tasty. The chicken was nice & moist and not dried out which can happen @ restaurants. I got a loaded baked potato (a favorite) along with a soda water & tito's and vodka. The service was on point & the food was tasty. We all enjoyed our time here & had fun!!Thank you Haley for your outstanding service. Keep up the great work!!"
"The service and staff were amazing! Food was cooked to perfection! The only complaint is that it was chilly outside and inside the restaurant the AC was blowing so cold that it was a bit uncomfortable. We (6 of us at table - all freezing) asked for the air to be adjusted but was told once it's set they can't change it. Not sure if it's because it's set from HQ, but be prepared. Other than that it was delicious and a great go to when on the River Walk."
"Food - 10 out of 10. We had the fish/potato small plate which took us back to Spain. We've discovered the menu changes bc it wasn't on the menu the next time, but when it's back it is a must!! We got the steak for two and brought leftovers home. We chose the mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce but the absolute surprise was the Dijon mustard. Steak also came with two side salads. Don't skip dessert, sticky toffee date cake was divine. The staff and ambience will blow you away, especially the gardens. Great southern hospitality. I love this gem in our little town."
"Went for a quick get together with family on a Friday evening. We were a group of 6 and got seated within 15 mins after arriving. Waitress was pleasant and food came out quickly considering the restaurant was packed. I had the chicken fried steak. Meat was tender and while crust was a little on the salty side it had good flavor. Plate came with one side, I ordered green beans. Portion was perfect for one person, everyone cleaned their plates. Shared the peach cobbler a la mode. Peaches were fresh tasting not from a can or overly sweet. Cobble had nice cinnamon flavor with crumble type topping, ice cream was creamy vanilla bean flavor. Overall good experience and will go back to try something different."
"We love doing Restaurant Week and its a great way to try out new places and Ravello did not disappoint. It's a beautiful restaurant, nice long bar somewhat separated from the dining room. Love the free parking lot which has become a issue these days. I recommend that you go on Thur-Sat when they have music which was wonderful. They do have a HH 3-5 with 25% off the menu. Halley was our server and I highly recommend you ask for her when you go. Very knowledgeable and personable and made the night. Everything we tried from the calamari to the restaurant week menu was excellent. Pictures and descriptions below. We already picked out menu items for next time. The manager Miguel came over to see how everything was going, really enjoyed chatting with him."
"Visited Hungry Farmer on a Friday for lunch, as my husband was feeling nostalgic--he used to work at their Universal City location in high school, which has since closed. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. A huge salad was served followed by our orders of chicken-fried steak and a regular steak. The bread was fresh and warm, though fairly standard. The chicken-fried steak was good and impressively large, as was the steak--definitely portions big enough to share among three people. Overall, I'd rate the food around three stars. It was decent, but nothing particularly standout. If you want a lot of food this is the place to go. Definitely get your dollars worth."
